It has been a year in the making, and General Hospital fans have been long over this storyline. They haven’t been shy when it comes to their opinion on Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) having a romantic relationship.
Although a small group of GH fans have come to Nina’s defense and have actually been Team Nina as opposed to Team Carly, the majority of the outward complaints on social media have been against Nina. Fans have even called out the writers for the script. They aren’t happy with a romance between Nina and Sonny since the bond between Sonny and his wife, Carly, has always been strong enough to weather any storm.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Sonny is struggling with leaving his feelings and memories from Nixon Falls, (and Nina), behind him. But the more Sonny wavers and more distance is created between him and Carly, GH fans are becoming more and more restless. The online attacks on the writers of General Hospital have been nonstop. The actors and actresses often-times become victims of online bullying when their TV characters aren’t living up to some standard the fan desires.
General Hospital news reports reveal that Cynthia Watros has come to the defense of the writers at GH. In a recent Instagram post, Watros captioned her inspirational video, including a shout-out to GH.
The video below was shared by Watros, calling it her sunshine on a cloudy day. An individual she met had left a mark and she wanted to share the experience with her followers. He reveals that he got addicted to watching General Hospital because of the storyline involving Nina and “Mike” aka Sonny in Nixon Falls. Amidst all of the hate thrown at this storyline, Cynthia found words of affirmation from her new friend.
