Not only did she convince him of that, but she’s also got a roof over her head. Esme was living on the run, and her cash flow was running low. Staying at Wyndemere doesn’t come without a price. Her living quarters aren’t ideal, and Nikolas is loving every moment as he keeps this little brat captive.
Nikolas has the upper hand now that he’s got Esme locked in an abandoned wing of Wyndemere. She may have convinced him to help her, but he’s now in control of her freedom.
