Monday, February 18th, John Stamos will be a guest on The Jeff Probst Show. A TV Guide exclusive reveals that Stamos admits to having met with General Hospital producers to talk about his character returning. John Stamos explains that what they want him to do is not necessarily to his liking and won’t be doing what was asked. He mentioned that the execs at GH wanted Stamos to debut his return at the nurses ball, playing drums for Rick Springfield, as he sings his hit song “Jessie’s Girl.”
John admits that he owes his career to General Hospital and would be more than happy to make the return if the material was right. He tells Probst that he wants a real acting gig out of GH if he returns. He even suggests that his character Blackie Parrish, get out of jail, and meets a girl.
It sounds like John Stamos really wants a solid deal with General Hospital. If the execs make him a promising offer, it looks as though Stamos would take it in a heartbeat. Now will TPTB listen to the fans and jump on that? Let’s hope so. Stamos could do great things for General Hospital. I know many, many fans are so excited for him to return.

There is more excited news to share regarding the return if yet another General Hospital vet.Rachel Ames, who originated the role of Audrey Hardy in 1964 is returning to the canvas. In an interview on the show KATIE, Genie Francis revealed that Ames will be returning to General Hospital on March 26th, 2013. Ames’ character Audrey Hardy was last on screen in 2009. I am sure Elizabeth will be happy to see Gram next month! This is going to be one exciting 50th anniversary for GH.
Johnny has turned himself into the cops for killing his Grandfather Anthony, and unintentionally killing the boyfriend and child of Starr Manning. Cole and Hope Thornhart were at the wrong place at the wrong time when Johnny wanted his Grandfather dead. He finally admitted to trying to kill Anthony and killing Cole and Hope. He is now is prison, and he is hated by almost the entire Port Charles. Which leads to a very popular fan question, is Johnny Zacchara leaving General Hospital? Everyone is wondering what will happened to the character Johnny and if Brandon Barash has decided to leave GH. There has not been any word that leads us to believe that Brandon Barash is leaving the show. There have been no Tweets, Facebook announcements, or even interviews hinting to the departure of Brandon Barash’s portrayal of Johnny Zacchara. General Hospital Blog will keep the fans updated with any new information.
The rumor around Twitter is that Genie Francis (Laura Spencer) has signed a contract with General Hospital. If this is true, it looks like there will be a lot more potential for her story. Right now, we know she is here to be with her daughter, as they wait for the birth of (what they think is) Dante and Lulu’s child that Maxie is carrying. She seems very interested in Luke’s life and was on the phone with a mystery person telling them they will go ahead with their plans. Who is Laura talking to? What are her plans? If Laura is staying in Port Charles longer than just to appease us for the 50th anniversary of GH, there is potential for her to have lasting relationships with current PC residents. Luke included. Since Anna and Luke called it quits, Luke may be open to getting closer to Laura once again. As of right now, we don’t know what Laura wants. It seemed like she was really concerned with Luke’s love life, and looked almost jealous when she saw him with Anna. But who knows. Maybe she was just checking to make sure he was happy with another woman before she proceeds to be happy with someone else. Whatever happens, I am happy to see Laura back in Port Charles, reuniting with all her loved ones!
Today marks the day that starts the countdown to General Hospital’s 50th anniversary! Celebrate with GH and ABC all the way to April 1st. Keep watch for surprising cast returns and unexpected events.
Today Genie Francis returned as Laura Spencer. Coming up Kin Shriner (Scotty Baldwin) will pay Port Charles a visit, along with Jackie Zeman (Bobbi Spencer).
Check out General Hospital Blog’s Preview and Spoilers page for other possible returns.
One Life to Live vet character John McBain has made a home in Port Charles. He is starting to put roots down there. He has a job as a detective at the PCPD, and has lasting friendships with Commissioner Anna DeVane, Sam Morgan. So what would make him go on a murdering spree? Is McBain one in the same with Port Charles vampire Caleb Morley? Or is Caleb just an extreme look alike? Evil twin perhaps? Whoever they may be to one another, we know that Caleb has already killed Alison Barrington and has attempted to kill a prison guard/officer in Port Charles. Anna is starting to get suspicious of McBain since looking at the security video of him escorting Rafe out of his prison cell. Now that yet another person (Sabrina) has witnessed McBain/Morley next to a body with a weapon and blood on his hands, perhaps he will be found out sooner than later.
Twitter is full of all sorts of useful and pertinent information. GH’s Carly (Laura Wright) answered the burning question regarding the status of the 3 OLTL vets, Kristen Alderson, Roger Howarth, and Michael Easton. She states that this isn’t goodbye but more like a see ya later type thing. Kristen Alderson also posted “Be back soon!!!” Check out the tweets below!
Kin Shirner’s return to GH as Scotty Baldwin is yet another big treat for the 50th anniversary of General Hospital, April 1st, 2013. We are so excited for his return this February 19th. We are excited to see how his love triangle from many, many years ago with Laura and Luke will come in to play this time around. In a TV Guide Magazine interview with Shriner, it is revealed that we will first see Scotty appear at the Haunted Star where many of the residents of Port Charles will be for a Valentine’s Day party. The scoop is that Scotty and Luke encounter one another and things escalate pretty quickly.
Shriner also talks about the possibility of John Stamos returning to the canvas as well. He said in the interview, “I’m sure Stamos will come back because he knows GH started his career.” This to me sounds pretty promising for the return of Blackie Parrish.
On a more personal level, Kin Shriner spoke very highly of his life experiences from being part of GH. He mentions how many great friends he has made throughout the years including Genie Francis (Laura Spencer) and buddy Lynn Herring (Lucy Coe). It seems that he is very happy with the fact that Genie, Lynn, and himself were asked to rejoin General Hospital at this time. When asked about his time at General Hospital, he responding with the following, “Lynn Herring and I have had a thousand phone calls, we talk at least once a week- where we’re, like, “Wouldn’t it be great if our characters came back to Port Charles and did such-and-such.” And now it’s actually happening! (Laughs) We no longer have to imagine it with tweety birds over our heads!”
-Remember he prefers Scotty over Scott! 😉
With all this great news, I have a feeling that this will be one special year for General Hospital!

General Hospital is going all out for it’s 50th anniversary! Bringing back vets like Genie Francis (Laura Spencer), Jack Wagner (Frisco Jones), Kin Shriner (Scotty Baldwin), and more! General Hospital just announced the return of Jackie Zeman (Bobbi Spencer) March 21st 2013. This has been one hell of a year full of surprises for GH fans, and they keep on coming! Check out Jackie’s Tweet making the announcement!
We have been seeing a lot more of Nurse Webber lately and it’s about time if I have to say so myself! Rebecca Herbst fans have been speaking out and letting TPTB know they want their character front and center. As we have learned in the recent past, never underestimate the power of a fan base. Once again, the fans have spoken and have been heard. Back when Herbst was let go from General Hospital, there was a huge out cry by the fans wanting her back! Seriously, could you imagine GH with out Nurse Webber? I can’t. Things are looking up for Liz fans these days. We are getting to see her interact with Sabrina, her new friend, AJ her ex lovers brother, and Patrick. There has even been talk of possible love interests for the character. Liz has been spending some time with AJ lately, and as she is the only woman (other than his Mother) in town that can stand the site of him, this just might go somewhere! Other rumors suggest that if Antonio Sabato Jr. comes back to reprise his role as Jagger Cates, then he and Elizabeth would make a great couple. There is so much potential for Elizabeth when we have the wonderfully talented Rebecca Herbst to thank for portraying her so well for so many years. We look forward to seeing more of Liz all over the GH canvas!
