We got to see A LOT of Robin today, and we found out a lot more than we had expected this early in the game. Heather seems to know quite a bit about what is going on and we now know she isn’t bluffing. We have all tossed around the idea of Heather being involved, and there have been speculations of Dr. Ewen Keenan possibly being a Cassadine, and/or having something to do with Robin’s disappearance. Well today’s episode of GH has revealed that Dr. Keenan is in fact behind Robin’s kidnapping. But why? Who is he? Are the rumors of him being Jerry Jacks true? I am very excited that Nathin Butler gets to be part of such a huge story! There is so much to sort through, it’s hard to wrap our heads around it all! That’s what makes this show so exciting. This week on General Hospital has been so intense with the return of Kimberly McCullough as Robin Scorpio Drake! Jason Thompson is doing a stellar job with these intense scenes. He makes loss and grief on a soap completely realistic and I am glad to see that he isn’t over Robin in one hot minute. I am hoping that Patrick and Anna don’t over look their instincts and mistake them for delusions and mind games for long. It would be nice to see them come to each other with their thoughts about Robin being alive so that they can share that they feel the same. Anna and Patrick teaming up to find Robin would be an awesome story! How much does Heather really have to do with it? Is she behind the whole thing, or just have an inside track? Rumors are that Dr. Ewen Keenan has a secret… could it be related to Robin, or the Cassadines? Something big is brewing here. This truly is a General Hospital Block Buster Summer!
WOW! What an ending to GH today! Heather Webber stating to ANNA, Robin’s own Mother, nonetheless, that Robin is alive. What a shock! I am so excited they are touching on the Robin story a lot sooner than expected. Even if Kimberly McCullough is not ready to come back to GH full term, I appreciate the fact that the story is not just being forgotten and suddenly brought up months or years down the road. Giving us a taste of what is coming is the perfect way to keep the fans wanting more. I don’t know about everyone else, but I am LOVING how these story lines are not drawn out for months on end. It seems more fast paced now. I am not getting bored with anything. They really know how to keep us on our toes. Heather Webber, played by Robin Mattson is one of my favorite characters. She is the perfect villain, and plays the crazy oh so well. Since she has been on the show, the plots have been so exciting, dramatic, and suspenseful. It was such a great move bringing this long time GH character back to the canvas. It is still uncertain if Kimberly McCullough is back to reprise the role of Robin long term. Kimberly is loved by all and it would be such an asset to the show to have her back. Scrubs was an amazing duo. Their family was a realistic reflection of family life. Working parents, an adorable child, a loving Grandma, and a doting Grandfather figure. Little Emma will get her Mother back some day. If only that could be true for every child…. oh the beauty of soaps. 🙂
The Internet and other sources were on fire this weekend with the news of Kirsten Storms returning to reprise her role as Maxie Jones on General Hospital. Meanwhile this obviously means the sad departure of Jen Lilley, the one we all came to love as Kirsten’s temporary replacement as Maxie Jones. Jen Lilley was very open with her fans on Twitter, interviews, videos, and the like regarding the news. Fans displyed sadness to see their newest favorite GH start go off on a new journey. Fans of Lilley have been completely dedicated to her as she has won us all over with her stellar performances. Her chemistry with the current actors was nothing short of amazing. General Hospital fans are happy to welcome long time GH star Maxie Jones back to the canvas to return at what she does so well, play the role of Maxie. We are happy to see that Kirsten is feeling well, and able to return to her role. Fans of both Kirsten and Jen wish both ladies much success in whatever comes their way. For Jen, we fans hope that someday she will be able to return to GH after some time, perhaps as another character. Whatever her endeavors may be, we wish her the best of luck and thank her for giving her all the the role of Maxie and making us love her!!! We would also like to say, welcome back to Kirsten Storms! Thank you both for all of your hard work on General Hospital.
I mean really, who doesn’t love Mac Scorpio?! Kind-hearted, good looking, funny guy, and a good Father/Uncle! Mac has been around Port Charles for so long… longer than I have been watching GH, but not much. 😉 Mac first arrived in Port Charles in 1991, (I was 9 years old). Mac is well known for his relationship with Felicia Jones played by Kristina Wagner. In more recent years, writers have played with the idea of Mac being romantically involved with PC lawyer, and Mother of 3 beautiful girls, Sam, Kristina, and Molly, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). They have been back and forth with Mac and Alexis and it has never really amounted to anything more than awkward set ups by the Davis Girls. Now, to further complicate things, Felicia is back in town and she and Mac have been talking about getting back together. After the death of Georgie, and now Robin’s “death,” Mac really needs some happiness in his life. Who do you all want to see Mac in a romantic relationship with? Should he go back to his old flame Felicia? Or should he start fresh with Alexis?
Not only do we love Mac Scorpio the character, but we love John York himself. He is such a kind man! If you are on Twitter, you will see that he reaches out to fans effortlessly. He is genuine when tweeting and responding to his fans, supports them just as much as we support him and the show. It is a great thing when an actor truly shows appreciation for the support of the fans by reciprocating respect and enthusiasm. I want to give John York a huge THANK YOU from General Hospital Blog for being an amazing actor, keeping Mac awesome, and for supporting the fans and this blog! Rumors are circulating about a possible recast of the teen character TJ, played by Krys Meyer. Casting call looking for a 16 year old African American male for a major recurring role. Does this mean they want to replace the current actor as TJ? Or perhaps they are adding another teen to the Port Charles canvas. I hope it is the latter of the two personally. I really like the actor playing TJ right now. I think he and Molly (Haley Pullos) work very well together. The two have great teen chemistry. What do you think? It has been confirmed by Soap Opera Digest that Kimberly McCullough has returned to the set of General Hospital. Jason Thompson says, “It was great to work with Kimberly again.” Last week General Hospital Blog featured a video for GH’s Blockbuster Summer which included a Robin sighting. It is unknown how long Kimberly will be on as Robin this time around, but it is certain that she has returned even if it is only for a short period of time.
General Hospital’s one and only Brenda Barrett played by Vanessa Marci Giovinazzo, is not only beautiful and talented, but is also a kind-hearted and generous person. It’s always wonderful to see one of your favorite celebrities do things for the good of others, and that is exactly what we get to witness in Vanessa. The actress has launched her own website www.babygagoo.com. On the site you will be able to find cozy and fashionable jammies for newborns, toddlers, and youth, and also merchandise for adults. The organization is designed to benefit the women and children of Nkosi’s Haven living with HIV/Aids and Soujourn Services helping battered women and their children. Vanessa has worked very hard for this cause that is close to her heart. The launch party for gagoo jammies was back in April of 2012 in Malibu, CA. The next event is scheduled for August 4th, 2012 in Staten Island, NY.
