This was confirmed back on December 20th that Scott Reeves had been let go from his role as Dr. Steven Webber on General Hospital. I just wanted to send an update since curious fans are still wondering about the status of this actor and his character.
Jason NOT Returning to General Hospital
I have been getting a lot of inquiries from fans wondering whether or not Steve Burton will be returning to GH as Jason Morgan. The answer for now is no. Steve Burton who played Jason Quartermaine/Morgan for 21 years on General Hospital has confirmed that he has signed on to The Young and the Restless on CBS. Obviously, things change at any given time in the soap world so there is not a solid answer on whether Steve will ever come back as Jason. For now, he is not. As for a recast of Jason, nothing has been said or confirmed on whether or not the character will eventually be played by another actor. Recently Steve Burton was a guest on The Talk and he explained how Y&R is willing to give him a flexible schedule so that he can keep his family in Tennessee where they choose to reside. This will make it easier for him to get back and forth to his family. I hope this clears up all the fan’s questions and concerns regarding Jason Morgan and Steve Burton’s status with General Hospital.

Steve Burton Headed to The Young and The Restless?
After 21 years as General Hospital’s popular character, Jason Morgan, Steve Burton announced that he was leaving his career at GH to fulfill his and his family’s dream of moving to Tennessee. Just a few months after his exit, there is talk of the soap star heading over to Y&R. The news is puzzling to fans, and we will have to wait for the full story. Rebecca Herbst NOT Leaving GH
Rumors have been in circulation that Rebecca Herbst has been let go shortly after the news regarding the departure of Scott Reeves (Dr. Steven Webber). Rebecca Tweeted about the issue and assured her fans that she had not been let go, nor did she quit General Hospital.

Will Robin be Home for Christmas?
I have read from fans all over that all they want to see on General Hospital is Robin home for Christmas. From Twitter, to Facebook, message boards and forums, fans are proclaiming their General Hospital Christmas wish, a Scrubs reunion. It seems that the ideal Scrubs story line as of lately would be if Robert and Anna found Robin and returned her home to Patrick, Emma, Mac and Maxie safe and sound before Christmas. However, we don’t know what this season will bring for The Scorpio-Drake family.
I have also been reading some complaints from fans stating that this story line has been dragged out for far too long. My take on it is that although it seems as if this story is taking a lot longer than we would like, perhaps Kimberly McCullough is unable to return to the GH canvas full time. Therefore leading the story line in the direction it is right now. If Kimberly is unable to commit fully to the role, than it might be more difficult to write the reunion of Robin and her family and be able to maintain a steady story on screen.
We all just need to be patient and take the story lines as they unfold. I too am anxious for Robin to return to Port Charles and be reunited with the ones that she loves. As for now, keep watching GH! 🙂

Soap Opera Ratings Rise; ‘Katie’ Plunging
Recent reports prove that the soap opera genre is far from endangered. There are four remaining daytime dramas which include ABC’s General Hospital, CBS’s The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless, and NBC’s Days of our Lives. Ratings prove that these shows surpass those of the talk shows the replaced the late great soaps from ABC, One Life to Live and All My Children.
General Hospital fans will rejoice at the news that GH reels in more viewers in the target demographic of women age 25-54 than the show it had to move time slot for, Katie Couric. Katie’s ratings aren’t doing as well as anticipated, as General Hospital’s ratings soar. For a full article regarding this topic please click here.
AJ Reveals a Secret!
Today on General Hospital, AJ discloses something to his son, Michael that could possibly free him of his previous charges he is now facing.
I have read everything from, “AJ didn’t do it, he has an alter,” to, “Alan is still alive.” There are many scenarios fans have come up with to try and guess what is going on. What do you think?
Kelly Monaco and Valentin Chmerkovskiy Head to the DWTS Finals!
Congratulations to Team Vally! They made it into the Dancing with the Stars finale! Kelly is an amazing dancer, and she has said herself that Val has taught her so much. She feels like a true competitor! In my opinion, she is more than a competitor, she is a true champion. As a Kelly Monaco and General Hospital fan, I am so excited for not only Kelly, but for the fact that SOAP FANS have shown how truly powerful we can be! This leads me to believe that we are that much closer to GH security. The fan base is still phenomenally strong.
