General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Can’t Hide Her Fear, Sonny Calls Ava Out

Sonny calls Ava out! …Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) have never been best friends. In fact, most of their years knowing each other have been civil at best. Despite their long history of mob-style dynamic, Ava and Sonny manage to co-parent their daughter Avery responsibly. At times they seem almost fond of each other.

Over the years, Sonny and Ava have put the past aside (as best as they can). But really, how can Sonny ever put aside what she did to his son Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig)? Exactly. He wouldn’t. However, this is soap opera world and anything is possible. While GH recaps remind us that Ava is actually helping to it against Sonny, we can’t help but miss how that makes sense. I mean, Ava and Sonny have come along way. Even though she’s being threatened, is it really like Ava to aid in her baby’s father’s demise?

General Hospital spoilers and rumors hint that Ava could have a change of heart when it comes to her partnership with Dr. Austin Holt (Roger Howarth). According to recent GH spoilers and previews, Ava can’t hide the fear on her face. Sonny calls Ava out and asks her what the hell is going on.

It seems to be that Sonny has been on his A game lately. His suspicions are high as he observes those around him. GH rumors tease Sonny is onto Gladys, he’s got Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) following Austin, and now he confronts Ava. Back in the day, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) always opened Sonny’s eyes to the deception around him. But this time, he sees it for himself. Geez, why can’t he be this intuitive when it comes to Nina?!

General Hospital Spoilers: GH Writer Shannon Peace Confirms Last Episode As Temporary Writing Team Takes Over

…By now most of the General Hospital audience is aware of the film industry’s current state of affairs. Since May, the WGA has been on strike. Contract negotiations between the WGA and the AMPTP (Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producer) are at a standstill. As a result, the GH writing team strikes along with the entire WGA.

Basically, writers aren’t writing without an updated agreement with the AMPTP. It’s as simple as that. Additionally, the arts stick together as the actors support their writing team.

What does this mean for General Hospital, the writers, the actors, and even the fans? Well, the actors film scenes like rapid fire, knocking out multiple scenes/episodes. Early call times and late night dismissals are typical of a soap opera actor. Because of this, there’s an estimated 6 weeks or so of episodes filmed ahead of time. Previous GH spoilers and news reports confirmed that the strike began on May 2nd. During this time, the episodes were still written by GH’s official team. However, they’ve now run out of episodes, and the strike has not been settled.

Due to the ongoing negotiations, General Hospital news and spoilers reveal the GH writing team’s last aired episode. Last week, GH writer, Shannon Peace took to Instagram to make an announcement. Peace revealed that Thursday’s episode was the writing teams last until things are resolved.

GH’s Temporary Writing Team Steps In

According to General Hospital spoilers, there’s about to be some changes in Port Charles. GH writer Shannon Peace made a statement regarding the on-going negotiations and shed some light on the situation. She explained, “My episode that aired Thursday, July 20 was my final until the strike is over. Starting Tuesday, the writing team of GH will be watching alongside fans to see what happens… for the sake of the fans, I hope the show is in capable writing hands. But I have to also acknowledge the pain of knowing that characters we’ve developed, relationships we built and stories we planned are being handled by others. Still, my hope is that if you love GH, you’ll continue to watch. You can morally support the writers AND keep the show the air!”

In addition, Peace penned thoughtful insight and harsh reality regarding the situation. She added, “Daytime writers face a unique conflict during strikes. We hate to see our characters and storylines handed over to ‘writers’ who cross the picket line. But we are also keenly aware that stopping production could spell the demise of the soap operas.  Hoping that the AMPTP does the right thing soon, not just for writers, but for the integrity of the storytelling.”

Episodes written by replacement writers begin on Tuesday, July 25th. Peace admits that these storylines may or may not follow the long story course that is provided by the Head Writers. Right now, the direction this is going is anyone’s guess.

Meanwhile, Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) romantic life isn’t in the best shape either. It’s never been easy for these two. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Trina have been playing a twisted game of cat and mouse where neither intentionally run away. Instead, it’s not deliberate, but driven by outside factors. As GH recaps recall, despite forces that try to tear them apart, these two kept fighting. But now they face another family catastrophe, and it’s becoming too much. Additionally, Trina deals with the discomfort of knowing Spencer spends quality time with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and Baby Ace (Jay and Joey Clay).

General Hospital spoilers suggest that Portia doesn’t have to work much harder on Spencer and Esme. She’s already interfered just enough to awaken Trina to the situation. Luckily, Trina feels the weight of the relationship all on her own. What Portia set in motion is now about to unravel. Understandably, Esme is a trigger for Trina. She has caused Trina so much trauma, and remains a sensitive topic. That being said, Portia’s actions are even more troubling. She consciously set the stage for her daughter to become triggered by the woman who did so much harm in the recent past.

GH rumors hint that Esme comes between Ace’s brother and his girlfriend yet again. Will Trina and Spencer breakup for good?

General Hospital recaps recall Ava had just (though to have) killed her husband, Nikolas Cassadine, when Austin showed up at Windermere. He could say he was at the wrong place at the wrong time but according to Ava, he was right on time. Austin helped her move Nicholas’s body and hide away in a locked room in the castle. From then on, Austin and Ava begin to develop a deeper stranger bond. Admitting lean for Ava, their relationship is partners in crime who slept together once. However, it seems like more for Austin. Meanwhile, as Austin and Ava do or don’t catch feelings, Mason (Nathanyael Grey) and a mystery boss controlling their every move.

According to General Hospital spoilers, Mason’s next order displays Ava’s loyalties. Against her better judgment, Ava’s ties to Austin and Mason tighten up when she takes another step toward betraying Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). To be fair, we aren’t saying decisions have been easy for Ava. She never wanted to go against Sonny. But given her own circumstances, her own pot of water was boil in a little too hot. Despite Ava’s experience with threats, blackmail and more, Mason has the upper hand.

Ultimately, Mason pressures Ava to hire a nanny of his choosing. Ava’s bold decision against Sonny ties her tighter to Austin.

Together, the PCPD and organized crime take the steps needed to take back the city. Those who typically call the are now bowing down to demands. The experienced and able are also the targets. How did things get this far?

Meanwhile, Austin Holt (Roger Howarth) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) do what needs to be done. Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) and his mysterious boss pull the strings on even the toughest players. Only the portion of his life when he was a musician. Back in the 90s, Ned Ashton expressed himself as the edgy, Eddie Maine, becoming a huge rock star. Decades later, Eddie is back and ready to rock!

Reportedly, Molinari has worked as a stunt double Hollywood big timers, George Clooney, Mark Ruffalo, and Matt Damon.

“He did it all in one take,” Kurth revealed. “He was really good. I did the towel trip and I did a forward fall onto a mat. And then when Anthony came out, he actually said the line, the same line that I had just said, and then he did the fall onto the deck and rolling into the pool, and then he laid there for a while, and then when you saw it pick up, it was me, obviously, laying in the water when they turned me over.

“It was really fun to get in the water with a suit on!” he added. “It was a nice, warm water. And I don’t get to do very many stunts, so I loved it! I loved having to take a fall onto a mat and all that stuff.”

Now that we know the behind-the-scenes, details of Ned’s fall, what we really want to know is if he’s faking amnesia or if he’s truly Eddie, Maine?
