Is Nikolas really dead? It feels wrong for the writers to have killed off such an iconic character, let alone a staple in one of the main General Hospital families. Stavros, Helena, and the other elder’s legacy lives on in the younger Cassadines. Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) should live on to carry that legacy.

General Hospital spoilers reveal things are not exactly as it seems when it comes to the Cassadine family. Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) has been working toward complete control. His desires to unite his family come with hard work. Victor’s methods to bring his family together knows no bounds as he stops at nothing to achieve his ultimate goal. That being said, there is nothing Uncle Victor won’t do to get what he wants.

Observant General Hospital fans vocalized their dislike for Nik’s new persobality. Surely, Nikolas was always “The Dark Prince,” but, he was never this stupid; or sloppy. Sleeping with his son’s girlfriend, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), is only one of the recent red flags from Nik’s downward spiral. One mess up after another, and Victor couldn’t take any more of his nephew’s boneheaded moves. Because of this, General Hospital rumors began, claiming the Nikolas Cassadine we see is an imposter. Ava and Austin coverup murder? Ms. Ava Jerome (Maura West) is no stranger to doom and gloom. She also knows that sometimes you have to do what you have to do in order to survive.

General Hospital recaps recall Ava Jerome (Maura West) is being sought after by two unhinged men. Her ex-husband, Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) arrived at Wyndemere on a mission to sets things straight with Ava. Their conversation quickly turned toxic when discussing Spencer Cassadines plan to gain custody of Nik’s baby. Nicolas blames Ava for turning over his video confession about Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl). The conversation quickly shifted to Ava’s daughter Avery Corinthos. If you hadn’t noticed if you hadn’t noticed, the key term here is Corinthos. Nikolas threatened to take Ava’s daughter, however, messing with Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) child is a bad idea. Nik claimed uncle Victor Cassadine would involve himself in kidnapping Avery to help Nikolas. Ava isn’t having any of that and quickly took matters into her own hands. Will Ava have her ex-husband’s blood on her hands?

According to GH recaps, the other man after Ava is none other than her new friend Austin’s cousin. Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) has become problematic for Ms. Jerome after she witnessed a questionable conversation between he and Austin Holt (Roger Howarth). General Hospital spoilers indicate that Austin helps Ava a big way while GH Rumors speculate, Ava will have Nicholas’s blood on her hands, others claim the blood on his hands will be Mason’s. That being said, it makes sense that Austin would step in.

Spencer threatened and essentially blackmailed his father with a confession video. Provided by Ava Jerome (Maura West), the video has the power to destroy Nikolas. However, Spencer doesn’t necessarily want to destroy his self destructive father. Instead, Spence wants the video used as leverage to gain custody of his future brother or sister.

Unfortunately, Spencer went ahead and ran on his emotions as opposed to taking advice from those who care for him. Surely, his plan seemed like an iron clad shot at becoming victorious, but, he didn’t expect other possible outcomes.

After Spencer blackmailed the Dark Prince, Nikolas pointed out that Spencer is acting in true Cassadine form. He’s especially livid about the part where Ava is lending a helping hand in his downfall. As a result of this family feud, Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) fears the worst.

GH previews show Nik at Ava’s new dwelling place. Wyndemere is her home now after having been ripped right from under Nik. He isn’t in the best state of mind after hearing what Spencer had to say. That being aaid, we know Nikolas is capable of more than we can imagine. So, will he lose it on Ava? Some GH rumors tease Nik could go off the rails and either harm Ava, harm himself, or completely disappear. Whatever he does, Spencer will feel the weight of it as if he’s to blame for what happens next.

He admitted, “It wasn’t like General Hospital was saying, ‘Hey, Marcus, we want you to stay,’ there was no negotiation or anything like that. All I can say to that is… I don’t know why that decision was made but I don’t feel any ill will and it didn’t feel like I got fired, it just felt like, I don’t know, I think there was maybe an understanding that I was going to be there for three years and I think the big surprise is how much it hurt… even though I knew I was going to leave, but it hurt.”

GH news and spoilers reveal that when asked if he would have stayed, Coloma explained that the choice would have been “a really hard decision,” given that he has “big goals,” ones that “would’ve never been realized if I would’ve stayed at General Hospital.” But he made it very clear that his statement wasn’t to take anything away from General Hospital. “I admire everything about it.”
