Kelly revealed her reason in a recent statement to Soap Opera Digest. “One is that I’m in love,” she admitted, “and have been doing long-distance for almost a year now, and my partner cannot move to the States at the moment.” Additionally, Thiebaud reveals another element to her personal decision. Kelly said, “But also… I am very interested in doing other things with my career,” she continued. “As much as I love Britt and I love the fans and I love General Hospital, I just felt like I had to go and pursue those other dreams and goals of mine.” Kelly spent over a decade on General Hospital as Dr. Britt Westbourne. Her schedule did not allow her the freedom to pursue other things.

The halls of the hospital will definitely be different without its Chief of Staff, Dr. Britt Westbourne. Sadly, we all have to say goodbye to a bright light, a spunky spark, and overall inspiring actress and role. Kelly and The Britch left a mark on our hearts. We will forever be grateful for the writing and performances that brought us Dr. Britt Westbourne.

The PCPD’s main focus was to find Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl). Because Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is the hook killer’s main target, it’s assumed that Esme is the killer. Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) can’t seem to find any solid leads other than Esme’s hatred for Trina. It’s apparent the PCPD needs more eyes on the job. Hopefully with a fresh face on the force, the authorities will become more efficient in solving crimes. However, General Hospital previews indicate a manhunt for Esme Prince leads to Nikolas. Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), his father Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett), Trina Robinson, Mayor Laura Spencer Collins (Genie Franco’s), Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco), and Spencer Cassadine are among those helping to catch and stop this serial killer.

General Hospital comings and goings rumors suggest Matthew Cohen could be on his way back to Port Charles. It’s interesting to ponder why GH writers would not only bring Ellie back and make mention of Griffin if there wasn’t a plan to develop a storyline and highlight their connection.

Griffin Monro and Ellie Trout have ties to Port Charles that could lead them back to pieces of their past. As Ava’s ex, GH rumors hint Griffin could be relevant to Ryan’s next move toward Ava. His fixation on the sophisticated and beautiful Ava Jerome has not let up after all this time.
