From time to time, the characters we’ve grown to love (or love to hate) leave. Some return after some time, and others arrive on the canvas unexpectedly. As GH fans, General Hospital Blog knows exactly how it feels to lose a beloved character, as well as how it feels to love (or hate) a newby. Whatever emotions are flowing through at the time someone leaves or enters the canvas, fans can be sure to get the latest information on our GH comings and goings page.
If you watched General Hospital in the 90s, then know where the nickname “Nedly” is derived from.
“Eddie Maine” was Ned Ashton’s (Wally Kurth) stage name when he pursued his music career and was performing for fans. His number one fan was his love, and mother of his daughter Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer).
General Hospital spoilers reveal GH is heading down a familiar road, this time with a new generation. Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine are heading for a similar path as that of her father and mother. Now that Brook Lynn is suggesting Chase develop his musical talents and pursue a career in the industry, Chase just might follow in her father Ned’s footsteps as she cheers him on just as Lois cheered on Ned.
General Hospital news and spoilers reveal in a recent interview, GH star, Wally Kurth opened up about his history as Ned and his professional alias, Eddie Maine, along with the love story his character had with Lois. He mentions the correlation between last and present, and how Chase and Brook Lynn’s upcoming story is sort of a reflection on his and Sofer’s storyline in the 90s. “I really like the idea that they’re doing something with Brook Lynn and Chase that’s [reminiscent of] the Eddie Maine/Lois Cerullo story,” Kurth continued, “where the gal has to talk the guy into being a singer and to go for it and to trust his ability, because that’s kind of what happened with Eddie and Lois. I told Josh [Swickard] and Amanda [Setton], ‘Have fun with it!’
GH news and spoilers reveal Kurth’s opinion on Josh Swickard and his role opposite his TV daughter. Wally expresses, “I love Josh,” adding, “He’s a good guy and I enjoy working with him. And he’s done such a great job in his Nurses Ball performances, so he’s obviously got the chops to do a musical storyline!”
Upcoming GH previews and rumors indicate Chase will hand over his badge for the spotlight as his number one fan encourages him to live out this dream. Do Chase and Brook Lynn have what it takes to live up to the legendary love of her parents, Ned and Lois?
Back in early May, General Hospital Blogreported the surprising news of Sheree [Gustin] Burton’s pregnancy, under the assumption she and General Hospital icon, Steve Burton were expecting.
General Hospital spoilers revealed that Steve had to quickly set the record straight, informing fans that he and his wife of 23 years were separated and that baby wasn’t his. The couple share three children, Makena, Jack, and Brooklyn.
General Hospital news reports reveal new developments surrounding Steve and Sheree’s separation. It was assumed that Sheree (45) was carrying Steve’s baby when she made the now deleted pregnancy announcement via Instagram.
General Hospital spoilers reveal, according to TMZ, Steve marked his separation from Sheree on March 1st. Since then he has made his way to the court offices and has officially filed for divorce. Details behind the shocking split reveal Burton has cited their reasons for the split as “irreconcilable differences.” GH news reports confirm Steve has filed for joint custody of their three children, while motioning to end spousal support immediately after they are legally separated.
We wish Steve and his family all the best during this difficult time.
Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) is working tirelessly to prove Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) innocence. He’s doing all he can to expose Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) for framing Trina.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Esme’s time is almost up and Spencer will be the one to save Trina from Esme’s lies and schemes. Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) has recruited his daughter to carry out his plan to come between Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). So far, their plan has been a success. Esme went as fat as sleeping with her boyfriend’s father and won’t hesitate to use it against him.
Esme needs to be stopped and General Hospital rumors suggest her own boyfriend will be the best man for the job.
General Hospital previews and spoilers indicate that Spencer takes his plan to a new level as he fabricates evidence of finding Esme’s biological mother. GH spoilers hint that he will purposely lead her down the wrong path, even faking DNA evidence to lead her in the wrong direction. These two are no match made in Heaven. Once Spencer realized that Esme isn’t the loving girlfriend he had hoped, he did what he had to do to help save a friend and potential true love. Will he be able to save Trina before her future is decided?
Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) has been down on her luck lately with love. Running into one bad prospect after another, Britt was ready to throw in the towel.
General Hospital recaps indicate that Britt is ready to jump into the dating pool again when she checks her Society Setups app and sees that Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) is her match.
General Hospital previews and spoilers reveal that although Britt is hesitant, she succumbs to the temptation of seeing where things will go.
GH spoilers reveal Britt agreed to a first day with Cody, but when his behavior becomes suspicious, she calls it like she sees it. Britt quickly realized that Cody’s 20 questions are not typical first date behavior and asks him why he’s so interested in pressing her for information about her father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).
General Hospital rumors hint that despite the poor first date impression, Britt and Cody still may have a chance at romance down the line. How will Cody’s inquisitive mature about Faison effect the dynamic between them?
Cynthia Watros has become one of the most controversial actresses on ABC’s General Hospital, after her role as Nina Reeves has had a polarizing effect on GH fans.
Whether you love her as Nina or love to hate her in the role, there’s no question Cynthia Watros can really bring it, roping fans into the storyline, investing in every moment. Coming between Daytime’s most loved couple, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his soulmate, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) isn’t the best look for Nina, but Cynthia does what she has to do in her role as one of the most loathed home wreckers.
General Hospital news reports reveal Cynthia has shared a video via Twitter, thanking her “talented friends” for their love and support. In her recent social media post, Watros shows the before and after magic of hair and makeup. Revealing her “before” look, Cynthia shows what it’s like to arrive at work, head to hair and makeup, and reveals the “after” look created by the talented hair and makeup team at General Hospital. Watros then thanks friends by name for the lovely flower arrangement which was sent to her dressing room.
Ever since that night camping in the woods, General Hospital spoilers have revealed that Dr. Austin Holt (Roger Howarth) knows exactly who has been lurking around, spying on Austin himself and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).
General Hospital previews and spoilers indicate Maxie will feel the presence of some mysterious existence around her again, this time drumming up an idea of who could be invading her privacy.
Unlike Austin, Maxie is left in the dark about their mysterious stalker, having to make her own assumptions. General Hospital spoilers reveal that one misunderstanding after another between Maxie and Spinelli will lead her to accuse him of stalking.
Spinelli is being unfairly accused, but after everything that has happened Maxie can’t seem to understand how he isn’t the one who has been suspiciously hanging around.
General Hospital rumors and spoilers indicate that Maxie’s accusations will end up pressing Spinelli into revealing what he’s really been up to.
Winner of the Outstanding Supporting Actor category at the 49th annual Daytime Emmy Awards, Jeff Kober, has opened duo about his role as Cyrus Renault, his ties to Mayor Laura Spencer Collins, and his own working dynamic alongside the legendary Genie Francis.
General Hospital news and spoilers reveal that Jeff Kober has opened up about his portrayal of Port Charles villain and the being the black sheep brother of Laura. In a recent interview, Kober discussed his iconic scene where he hit the glass right before Laura’s eyes. According to Soap Hub, Jeff Kober explained that it was a decision he added in himself during rehearsal. Kober explains, “I added [it] in rehearsal,” Kober recalled. “I said, ‘I think I might want to hit the glass.’”
The Daytime Emmy wonder continued, “It was fake glass so it started to wobble,” Jeff Kober shares. “I had to act like I was hitting it hard but I still hit it harder than Genie may have expected.”
General Hospital spoilers reveal Jeff also touched in his dynamic with Genir as Theo work side by side as brother and sister. He describes her reaction to his acting methods and over all scene ethic. Kober said, “She goes with anything,” praising his co-star. “She rolls with it.” It’s hard to believe that cyrus has turned a new leaf and left his life of crime behind him. He’s clearly got something up his sleeve. Regarding Renault’s upcoming agenda, Kober states, “He’s got things that he wants from [Laura] but [they’re not] of a romantic nature,” Shared Kober. “That plays into [their interactions].”
General Hospital recaps revisit Kober’s return to General Hospital during the honorary episode of the soap opera’s 15,000th show. GH previews and spoilers indicate that the people of Port Charles, especially his sister, Laura, have not seen the last of Cyrus Renault.
There are so many ways to stay connected with our favorite actors and actresses these days as social media outlets have become the main form of keeping up with the world.
General Hospital news and spoilers indicate that GH’s Nancy Lee Grahn has made an announcement regarding her status with the daytime drama.
In a recent Tweet, General Hospital coming and goings spoilers reveal that Grahn has informed fans that she will be stepping out of her role as Alexis Davis “for a while.” She informs fans of ways to stay connected through her absence on General Hospital. Nancy will be active on Twitter, Facebook, and admits she’s trying to figure out Instagram.
General Hospital news and rumors suggest Grahn’s exit will be temporary, following her precious brief exit back in April 2022. She will be enjoying time at the lake with her man.
Was on #gh yesterday with my grown women pals @GenieFrancis & @finolahughes & today with my TV prof as I lake it with my real life prof. All good. Won’t see me in PC for awhile, hope you enjoy, but I’ll be here, FB & trying to figure out IG. ❌⭕️
Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) has been an officer at the PCPD since he has arrived in Port Charles. His time as a Detective seems to have had more off time than on as a member of the force.
Illness and suspension have been the main reasons Chase has been away from the career he loves. So what would be so devastating to walk away from his profession altogether?
General Hospital recaps and spoilers indicate that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) has suggest that Chase use his undeniable talent as a singer and musician to step into the spotlight. Though Chase sees Brook Lynn’s suggestion as a selfish motive to get back at Linc Brown (Dan Buran), that doesn’t mean it couldn’t become a reality.
General Hospital rumors claim that Chase will have a big decision to make, teetering back and forth in the idea of handing over his badge for a chance at the spotlight.
Does Chase have what it takes to me the next music sensation? Brook Lynn’s songwriting paired with the vocal and musical talent Chase possess could be the perfect recipe for a pop culture sensation!
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is an extremely strong and resourceful woman but despite all her stress, she is at one of the lowest points in her life.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Carly is about to endure another blow after hearing Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) plan to help her, and turning down Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) offer to swoop in and save her from losing a part of herself.
GH spoilers and previews indicate that Carly hasn’t found a solution for her financial problems and has turned down any suggestion if assistance by other sources. The last thing Carly would want is for Nina to yet again get one up on her.
General Hospital rumors hint that Carly’s life takes another nose dive and the one to blame is Nina. If Nina buys the Metro Court, she will be sticking it to Carly, twisting the knife that she dug in when she kidnapped and stole her husband.
Carly may be down and out but she always finds a way to rise back up to the surface. She still has something powerful in her back pocket. Don’t forget Carly knows that Nina’s biological daughter is alive and well and right under her nose! Keeping the secret about Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is all the leverage Carly needs.
