Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) was faced with the opportunity to begin a new relationship after a devastating split with husband Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

General Hospital recaps and spoilers indicate that Carly has decided to play things cool and take precautionary measures before she entangles herself with another man. Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) has almost all the qualities she’s looking for in a relationship, but could he ever stand by her side through the worst of the worst? Sonny isn’t the only man Carly has been identified with for a large portion of her life. The father of her daughter Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), Jasper Jax Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) has been part of Carly’s life for many years.

If it weren’t for Carly’s ex, Jasper “Jax” Jacks, none of this would be happening and Nelle wouldn’t have been in their lives. But, would Josslyn be alive? That’s the debate Carly had to deal with in her mind. Blame Jax for bringing this lunatic into their family’s lives, or let’s say he didn’t, Josslyn may not have survived.

The relationship between Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has been controversial to say the least. Sonny’s family especially hasn’t taken well to how this family man and loyal husband ended up leaving his wife, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) for the woman who kept him away from everyone he loves.

General Hospital News And Spoilers: Soap Vets Laura Wright And Cameron Mathison’s ‘GMA’ Appearance Gets Fans Hype For Major Milestone

There aren’t many television/ entertainment genres that can stake a claim in extraordinary longevity. Soap Operas are among the longest running forms of tv entertainment.

Other than The Simpsons, which came out in 1989, soap operas take the cake for having been on air for the most seasons/years. The animated sitcom is just about half the age as ABC’s General Hospital.

General Hospital news reports reveal two soap opera veterans are ready to celebrate a major milestone for longest currently running soap opera. Laura Wright joined the daytime scene in 1991 as Ally Rescott on Loving, brought the role to another show called, The City, the started on Guiding Light, before joining the cast of General Hospital. Cameron Mathison is no stranger to the soap opera scene. He joined the cast of ABC’s All My Children in 1997 as Ryan Lavery and ended his run in 2011. Mathison is now a on the front burner in Port Charles as Drew Cain’s recast. He took over the role from Billy Miller. Drew works alongside Wright’s character, General Hospital’s leading lady, Carly Corinthos.

General Hospital news and spoilers reports Wright and Mathison discussed General Hospital’s upcoming 60th year on air. Wright commented on her 17 year (and counting) run, confessing, “I love every second of it … it’s an honor … we’re kicking off in Graceland this October, our first big celebration of the 60 years, so the cast is going to be there and we’re super-excited.” Although new to GH, Mathison is Judy as excited about being part of this legendary show, admitting, “It feels like coming home for me,” he said. “It’s just been amazing … I come in to work super prepared knowing how good everybody is there…every day it feels like coming home.”

Laura was asked by GMA about her experience with working with Cameron Mathison, in which she replied, “Our work ethic is very similar [be]cause we started here in New York City.”

We can’t believe that General Hospital will turn 60 this coming April 1st! Wright and Mathison are among many of the cast members who will be kicking off the big celebration in Graceland this October!

Michael Blake Kruse made his announcement via Twitter and Instagram, captioned, “It’s great to be working in the Midwest again with the incredible cast and crew of CHICAGO P.D. So much to love about this city and show.”

General Hospital news reports have yet to disclose details and duration of Kruse’s new role of whether or not he’ll be exiting his role as Rory Cabrera on General Hospital.

Things were finally going Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) after many months of stress and worry about her future.
