Wow! Introducing Drew 2.0. It must be true what they say about serving time in a correctional facility. It definitely does change a person, not that I can speak from personal experience or anything.
Historically, the people of Port Charles have been kidnapped and held hostage on a boat, trapped in a hotel fire, chained to a bed in a panic room, poisoned water supply, and much more. And to think some of those events took place after 30-some years of daytime drama. But nothing rattles a PC soul like doing time in Pentonville, and it seems like everyone there is a criminal.
For 60 years, many bad deeds have committed by almost everyone in Port Charles. I don’t know if one person in that city has a clean slate. That said, if you haven’t made a member of The Five Families a target, or left a woman to give birth all alone in the woods, or randomly attack a so-called friend with a hook, then do you even live in Port Charles? It seems that you have to have an edge to get anywhere in that city, and that’s what leads us to Drew.
Recently, Drew has been a hot topic along GH fan pages across social media. General Hospital spoilers reveal that Drew is ready for a change. He’s tired of being the pushover, and has asserted himself in situations to overcome that reputation. First, it started with Michael, Ned, and the family business. No red flags were raised because it seemed like a typical Quartermaine business quarrel. Then, the issue with Scout’s school occurred, including his and Sam’s argument, and now his actions toward Carly.
Drew’s Dark Path Leads Carly To Sonny
General Hospital spoilers tease that Cameron Mathison takes Drew down a dark path. According to General Hospital spoilers, the stars align for Sonny and Carly as Drew becomes increasingly problematic. We knew it was only a matter of time before Carly and Drew began to fall apart. According to recent GH rumors, Drew 2.0 puts a strain on his and Carly’s relationship. The more time they spend together, the more Drew wants to control, pushing Carly away.
General Hospital recaps recall four years ago when Sonny went missing. Unforeseen evil tore Sonny and Carly apart, but their bond never wavered. Will fate bring them together again?
This year brought many changes and milestones to a six-decade (and counting my running television drama. While there’s bound to be changes over the course of 60 years, a bulk of them seemingly took place in 2023.
April 1st, 2023 marked General Hospital’s 60th year in production, making it the longest running television drama. The show’s cast and GH family suffered much loss, and celebrating the lives of their dear friends. In December, General Hospital’s success shined at the Daytime Emmy Awards. With record breaking wins, General Hospital went home with the glory. Take a look below at the details surrounding General Hospital’s big night!
General Hospital Execs Announce Major Changes
According to the latest General Hospital spoilers, things are going to be different behind-the-scenes. While many times change is feared, it’s also viewed as a time to grow. Today, GH news reports confirm that General Hospital has name two new Head Writers! It’s been revealed that Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor never longer hold the position. Upon their departure, Patrick Mulcahey and Elizabeth Korte take over as Head Writers.
Reportedly, Korte and Mulcahey are no strangers to the longest running television drama. In fact, Korte has written for GH since 1995, and held co-head writing position in 2001. Additionally, she co-created GH spinoff, Night Shift, with Robert Guza. As for Patrick Mulcahey, credits include, Search For Tomorrow, Texas Loving, Santa Barbara, Guiding Light, and The Bold And The Beautiful. Moreover, his credits include his role as script writer and associate head writer from 1983-1999.
I don’t know about you all, but it seems to me that great potential lies ahead with the recent changes. These “new” writers share GH history, which could make for some solid writing for the future of Port Charles.
First impressions don’t get a second chance. For many, meeting someone or a group of people got the first time can be rather nerve wracking. Job interviews, first dates, and meeting your future in-laws are somewhat stressful events for some. That said, it’s important to make a good first impression. But what about unexpected encounters? Many would argue that even meeting someone at random holds similar notions. A future connection with a new person weighs heavily on that very first meeting. So, what’s that say about Nina Reeves, and her first impression on Port Charles?
GH recaps highlight Nina’s state of mind when she arrive in Port Charles. It’s no secret that she’d been in a coma, and they she displayed mental instability. As time went on Cynthia Watros’s character grew as the writer’s dove deeper into Nina’s personality. Soon, Nina had some redeeming qualities, but her biggest personality trait for me is who she was in her first impression in PC. You can’t forget crazy.
Fast forward and Nina’s covert craziness rears its ugly head. She’s been able to subdue her real self for a few years, but that’s good and done. Now that she’s told her last lie as Mrs. Corinthos, General Hospital spoilers and previews indicate that Nina declares war on Sonny and Carly.
According to GH spoilers and rumors, Nina chooses her weapon of war. Back in 2022, Liesl gifted Nina a Japanese Tantō. Does she have plans to use it on her enemies?
Time sure flies after Christmas. Especially when drama comes around the clock. It’s been one thing after another for the people of Port Charles. From losing Bobbie and Nina’s secret, to Adam’s suicide attempt, Esme’s memory and Nikolas kidnapping, there’s no rest for the wicked.
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is going through some difficult times in various areas of her life. She’s been dealing with other people’s problems on top of her own. Sadly, Joss just lost her grandmother. She and her family grieve over their loss while taking swings at other forces coming for them. For Josslyn, that includes the drama that’s going on with Adam at school, the fallout from Nina’s lies, while helping her mom pick up the pieces.
On December 18th, a recast took over for Eden McCoy as it was announced that she’d be on temporary leave. McCoy took some time after her mother’s passing, and Courtney Fulk stepped in as Josslyn. Fulk did a fantastic job stepping in as Josslyn, particularly during some of the challenging moments.
According to recent GH news updates, General Hospital comings and goings confirm that Eden McCoy resumed filming at Prospect Studios. Eden McCoy returns to General Hospital as Josslyn Jacks this February.
Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) is desperate to find her son. As far as she’s concerned, she would have been better off on her own with Ace than to have even half-heartedly trusted Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) and the Cassadines.
Although Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) brought it upon herself when she broke into Wyndemere, she blames Laura for the series of events that followed. GH recaps highlight that while Esme was in court, her son was taken right from her. Not only did Ace’s big brother fail to stop his father from kidnapping Ace, but he gave him up willingly. What’s worse is that he still defends his compliance.
According to recent GH rumors, Laura tells Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) the whole story, even the parts that incriminate her son and grandson. As a result, the PCPD uses Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) to lure Nikolas to Port Charles. Spencer committed a crime. No matter how you slice it, or how he blames Esme for her past, he and his father are the ones who just committed a heinous crime.
Spencer Is Arrested And Held Until Nik Turns Himself In
General Hospital spoilers reveal that the PCPD takes immediate action to begin the investigation. Dante wants to know every detail for the best chance at locating Nikolas (Adam Huss) and baby Ace. Therefore, it’s likely that Dante questions Spencer as well as Mayor Collins. That said, u can bet that Laura tells the truth even though she’s aware of the consequences.
GH spoilers and rumors teaser a shocking twist! Spencer is arrested while Nik still runs free. Although Spencer played his role in the whole thing, the PCPD has bigger fish to fry. In fact, child kidnappings are of the utmost priority. That’s why the PCPD could want to strike a deal. Spencer’s freedom for Nikolas to turn himself in and bring Ace home safely.
The authorities want baby Ace brought home ASAP. That’s why GH rumors claim that the PCPD uses Spencer to lure Nikolas back to Port Charles. That’s when Spencer is arrested and held in a cell until someone is able to reach out to Nikolas. It’s doesn’t stop there because then he’ll need convincing to return with Ace. Will Nikolas set Spencer free if that means giving up Ace and his own freedom?
I’m gonna start off first by saying that I’m so disappointed in Spencer. I reviewed the situation in my head from every angle and I still believe that Spencer is completely in the wrong. Despite Esme’s checkered past and her memories floating to the surface, Spencer crossed the line. In fact, he committed a very serious crime.
Over the years the Cassadine family developed a Reputation🐍 for themselves. They’re known for their erratic behaviors at various degrees. That’s because not all Cassadine family members were created equal. Instead, they all have different levels of and forms of crazy. And over time, some sink deeper into the Cassadine darkness while others are lucky enough to find the light (i.e. Alexis Davis (Natasha)).
General Hospital recaps highlight Spencer Cassadine’s defining moment when he immersed himself into pure Cassadine culture. To be fair, Spencer has never really kept his side of the street all that clean. He has lied, schemed, and even committed crimes. But Spence and his loved ones put that in the past after he served his time. Eventually, things started to look up for Spencer. He started to become more comfortable with watching Esme raise his baby brother Ace (Jay and Joey Clay). Additionally, Spencer and Trina are still madly in love, and they plan to spend Trina’s semester abroad together in France.
Nikolas and Spencer Sentenced To Pentonville
According to General Hospital spoilers and rumors, it’s quite possible that Trina and Spencer won’t get the chance to go to Paris together. Spencer lets Trina down yet again when his impulsive decision exhibits his inability to put others needs before his own wants. Let’s face it, Spencer didn’t need to do this. Aiding and abetting a kidnapping isn’t what anyone needs.
GH spoilers tease that Spencer feels the consequences surrounding all sides. First, he’s without the same little brother that he couldn’t bear to spend a moment without. Next, his grandmother Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) is fraught with the shocking news over Spencer’s actions. Finally, someone has to break the news to Trina. She and Spencer plan to indulge themselves in the wonders and romance of France, but GH rumors hint that this situation changes the course of their plans. Furthermore, GH spoilers tease that Spencer’s actions don’t just derail their France plans, but also his and Trina’s relationship.
GH recaps recall Laura’s reaction and the course of action taken to find Ace. Spencer’s grandmother implicates her own son when she calls the PCPD. She took the first step in finding Ace when she notified Detective Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). At this post Laura hasn’t named names, but the Mayor of Port Charles is expected to play by the book. That means, if she implicates Nikolas, she’ll most like have to do the same with Spencer. It’s true that Spencer isn’t the one who kidnapped Ace. However, the involvement he has in this is ground for an arrest for aiding and abetting a kidnapping. I know this is poor Charles and all but it sounds to me like these two are headed for Pentonville.
ABC’s General Hospital celebrated the show’s 60th anniversary this year. As the longest running television drama, General Hospital’s cast has had a wide variety of talented actors over the years.
Some of these talented individuals have even come on to play themselves. It’s always fun to see familiar faces pop in and out of Port Charles. While some are on set for a quick, guest cameo, others stick around longer. Many have came and went, but one person stands out from all of the rest.
Fitness icon Richard Simmons is an unforgettable name with the look and vibe that’s just as memorable. He joined General Hospital’s cast in 1979-1983 as himself. And on 2013, Simmons returned to the soap for the iconic General Hospital Nurses Ball.
According to General Hospital news reports, comedian Pauly Shore plays Richard Simmons in a biopic about the Sweatin’ to the Oldies. It all began when Shore shared online content during the pandemic. Back in 2020, Pauly shared his version of Simmons’s legendary fitness videos called, Sweatin’ with the Weiz. That’s when memes began to pop up, comparing Shore to Simmons. Ultimately, this lead to Shore’s idea to create a biopic of the 1980s fitness icon.
Pauly Shore Receives Backlash
According to Pauly Shore, he and Richard spoke Reportedly, Simmons broke his silence to the public about Shore’s project. Simmon’s recently addressed Shore’s film about himself, and dod NOT give his blessing. However, Pauly Shore ensures Richard that it’s all love and he hopes that they can come together on this. According to the latest new report, The Court Jester is based on Richard’s own book and stays true to its reflection on Simmons’s life.
Hi Everybody!
You may have heard they may be doing a movie about me with Pauly Shore.
I have never given my permission for this movie. So don’t believe everything you read.
I no longer have a manager, and I no longer have a publicist.
Since its production, Pauly’s received immense backlash about his decision to move forward with The Court Jester, the story of Richard Simmons. Be sure to take the GH Poll above to weigh in!
Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) has been a part to many devious schemes. His grandmother, Laura, Spencer always tried to support her grandson the best way you know how. Furthermore she’s never turned her back on him despite the things he’s done.
According to General Hospital spoilers and rumors things could be different this time. GH recaps recall the shocking moment when Spencer willingly gave up Ace to Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss). As a result, a baby is without his mother, and his mother is without her heart. Recently, Spencer picked up on a few clues. He’s more than suspicious that Esme‘s memories have returned. This helped guide his decision when Nikolas came knocking. What he and his father did was horrific. Especially since Spencer his witness how Esme cares for her son. In fact, Spencer recently admitted that Esme is a good mom.
The latest General Hospital previews indicate that Spencer confesses to Laura and Laura becomes infuriated. All the things her grandson is done in his life, this is the most despicable. Tearing a mother away from her child, wasn’t his decision to make. Additionally, General Hospital rumors tease that Spencer’s decision cost him everything. Recent updates surfaced regarding Chavez as he stars in the Netflix series, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. Previously, GH news reports confirmed Chavez makes a temporary exit to film his other project. Will Spencer leave Port Charles when even Laura and Trina turn their back on him?
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) was known for loving one man over all others. Although hard times and crossed lines became familiar, Carly and Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) magnetic bond always pulled them close. That’s why Port Charles mobster and his ride or die destined for one another. Now, it’s only a matter of time before that force draws them in again.
It looks like Sonny is about to be on the market again shortly after marrying Nina. Have no fear because he’s fresh and up for grabs. But for how long? GH rumors hint that Sonny and Nina are headed to splitsville. Additionally, Carly and Drew will hit a few snags that just might make this whole thing unravel.
General Hospital spoilers indicate that According to recent General Hospital spoilers and rumors, Drew takes on a new outlook. No more Mr. Nice Guy, because Drew is tired of being a pushover. Lately, GH rumors suggest that Carly supports and understands the origin of Drew’s shifting vision. Allegedly, Drew’s anger begins to consume him and he loses control. GH rumors tease that this leads to Drew and Carly’s shocking yet inevitable breakup.
What will Drew do to send Carly packing for good? It’s hard to imagine because he’s typically so calm and even-keeled. But GH spoilers tease that Drew shows a new side that Carly doesn’t like. Will he go after her son Michael for revenge? Or, will he cheat? Few and Anna’s conversations got letting interesting… what is Drew capable of?
Well, that was unexpected! In all honestly I was a bit thrown for a loop when Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) showed up at Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) bedside. She didn’t go to check up on him. Instead, Esme’s reason to visit Spencer’s hospitalized uncle has everything to do with her, not the recovering assault victim.
So, what made Esme turn to uncle Cyrus? First, Spencer’s ex-girlfriend and Ace’s mother doesn’t know where to turn. She doesn’t have a friend around and trust is a two way street with major roadblocks. GH recaps highlight how no one trusts Esme, and she doesn’t fully trust anyone. Despite Laura’s consistency, Esme questions her authenticity.
Moreover, logically Esme knows that it’s not Laura’s fault that she’s in this mess. Still, she’s viscerally fueled by her son having been kidnapped. That seems pretty normal, right? Yes! But is it normal to decide against police assistance when your child is missing?! No. That right there tells me that Esme is leaning more and more toward her evil bloodline. Esme 2.0 never would have put herself first while crying “Nik stole my baby, and Spencer helped!” She would have done absolutely anything, even if that meant self sacrifice. In fact, Esme’s already proven she’d put her freedom at risk when she agreed to Laura plan to confess.
On the other hand, the old (pre-pregnant parapet freefall into frigid waters) Esme wasn’t so selfless. Actually, she lied, schemed, and committed crimes as petty revenge. Prior to her amnesia, Esme was almost as cold and calculating as her father.
GH spoilers and rumors tease that the current Esme exhibits qualities (or not) from both versions of herself. Similarly, she and Cyrus have that in common. Two people who in their sudden rebirths practice exculpation as their most dependable life skill have come together. They’ve gone from downright bad, to exhibiting righteous preaching while simultaneously keeping that criminal mind. The only difference is that they know have reason to justify their terrible behavior.
GH rumors hint Esme and Cyrus become an ultimate force. Their mutual, evil-do-gooder mantra serves them well with their investigation into finding baby Ace and his father, Nikolas Cassadine.
