GH Blog POTW Results! Thank you all for voting! You shared your thoughts on which General Hospital star knocked or out of the park for you this week.
The competition was tough, and choices boiled down to three prominent actors who have really been giving it their all! Now, we are ecstatic to report General HospitalBlog’s very first Performer Of The Week.
The Results Are In!Here’s Who GH Fans Chose As GH Blog’s POTW! Congratulations to Sofia Mattsson for her incredible performance as Sasha!
Has GH’s Sasha’s storyline gone too far?Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) current storyline has General Hospital fans up in arms. Sofia gives a stellar performance in every scene, especially these recent emotional and psychological breaks. She really makes the audience feel for Sasha. And let’s just say that if Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) were real, she’d be receiving an overwhelming amount of hate mail and potential death threats (not seriously).
General Hospital news reports share polarizing views among GH fans. One of GH’s current, front-burner stories has everyone running to their keyboard. Together, Sasha, Gladys, Dr. Montague, Cody, and more, makes up the main characters in this intense tale. A tale indeed, except Sofia’s performance makes it feel like we aren’t watching a tale at all. Her emotions are so moving that she makes it hard for me to hold back my own emotions as I watch.
While we admit that it’s extremely difficult to watch, the whole point is for the actors to deliver realistic emotions. In doing so, we as an audience are meant to feel what humans feel. Watching Sofia handle these scenes is chilling, and the performances she delivers are stellar. Truthfully, Mattsson needs to win an Emmy for this. That being said, it’s hard to fathom why fans would want this story to end and deprive Sofia of her time to shine? If the actress has an issue with what was written for her character, then maybe there’s room to ask questions and make demands. Until then, please allow these artists to instead express their crafts without the threat that “fans” will stop watching.

GH spoilers and news reports reveal that many fans took to social media to speak out against Sasha’s story. Below you will find fan’s quotes regarding this controversy.
“Sasha didn’t deserve this and neither did the fans” -anonymous GH fan
Willow sings Nina’s praises. …Ever since her road to recovery, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) has come a long way. Not just regarding her health, but also about her personal relationship with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Indeed, finding out that your biological mother is a woman who you loathe, and who has mistreated you, is a tough pill to swallow.
From her worst enemy to her biological mother, what is Nina to Willow now? A savior? Well, according to recent General Hospital previews and spoilers, Willow seems grateful for Nina’s rescue. When talking to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) Willow confesses that she’s glad Nina rescued her.
GH spoilers indicate that Willow sings Nina’s praises after she comes in clutch with the save. Michael’s face looks less than amused when his wife admits fond feelings toward Nina. Is Willow setting herself up for heartbreak? According to GH rumors, Willow lets down her walls and allows Nina to get closer. Nina builds her up just to let her down and break her heart. Because once Nina is exposed for turning Carly and Drew into the SEC, Willow won’t feel the same.
Who will play Lulu Spencer? General Hospital fans immediately took issue with Lulu Spencer’s (Emme Rylan) absence in Port Charles. Ever since Emme’s GH exit, fans have rallied to bring Emme Rylan back to the role.
General Hospital Recaps: After an unnecessary tragic accident, Luke and Laura’s daughter slipped into a coma, leaving her loved ones behind. However, life goes on as it always does. Right before the accident, Lulu broke things off with (deceased) Dustin Phillips(Mark Lawson) and was about to tell Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) how she feels. Unfortunately, Lulu never got the chance.
Currently, Dante moved on with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), and they’re living happily with their kids. Meanwhile, Dante remains close to Charlotte, Lulu and Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) daughter. According to GH spoilers, something might come out of Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) and Dante’s hospital visit. Lulu’s daughter and ex-husband sat by her bedsides as they expressed how they miss her. GH spoilers and rumors tease that their conversation was the crack in the door that will open for her return.
General Hospital news reports confirm that Emme Rylan exited GH back in 2020. When her character was written out of the script, Rylan took to social media to explain that it was not her choice to leave. That being said; she added that she’d be willing to return if and when Lulu is written back into the script. Click HERE for the story.
Who Will Play Lulu Spencer?
As the storyline gears up for Lulu’s awakening, General Hospital fans wonder if the role will be recast. As the majority of discussions revolve around Emme Rylan, recent GH rumors claim that Alexa Havins replaces Rylan as Lulu Spencer. Keep in mind that GH news reports have. Or confirmed any casting changes.
As GH news recall, many GH fans remember Julie Berman as Rylan’s predecessor. Understandably, it’s sometimes difficult to become accustomed to a new face in an established role. Therefore, Rylan has been fan’s most recent choice.
That being said, if you had to choose, should Emme Rylan reprise the role, or should the role be recast?
Gladys sends Cody packing! …It’s one thing after another with a Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs). Poor Sasha has no idea what kind of monster she’s really dealing with. Mistakenly, Sasha trusted Gladys to oversee her entire life. Now, Gladys’s stunt could be the beginning of the end for Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). First, Gladys must get Cody out of the way.
Over at the PCPD Sasha, used her one phone call to contact Cody Bell (Josh Kelly). Since Detective Chase (Josh Swickard) already attempted Gladys, Sasha used her call to call Cody, but he didn’t answer. Meanwhile, what else does this poor man have to endure in these Port Charles streets? From the looks of things, his fresh start in Port Charles is in worse shape than when he was back in Bensonhurst. Between his paternity scandal, the WSB, Selina Wu, and more, Cody’s clean slate could be worlds away.
According to General Hospital previews, Cody shows up at Sasha’s after missed her call. Like the manipulator she is, GH spoilers tease that Sasha is fooled yet again when Gladys sends Cody packing.
Will Curtis Ashford survive?! It’s really happening. Earlier this week, General Hospital Blog shared the latest GH spoilers and rumors surrounding the recent tragedy. The Metro Court shooting left on family in shambles as Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) fights for his life. Now, all his family can do is wait. Or is it? …
GH spoilers reveal that TJ gets called into the OR after Curtis is wheeled into surgery. According to GH rumors, TJ operates on Curtis. With Curtis’s life in TJ’s hands, the pressure is on. Will Curtis Ashford survive? Take the GH Poll below!
Is Luke Spencer alive? …Luke Spencer’s (Tony Geary) sudden death shocked General Hospital fans, as well as Port Charles residents. Additionally, the actors who have worked alongside Tony for decades couldn’t believe that the writers would go there. For the time being, Luke is confirmed dead. However, maybe that’s not the whole truth.
Previously, GH icons Genie Francis and the late Jackie Zeman weighed in on the controversy. This particular storyline became controversial when the General Hospital writers received backlash from both fans and co-stars. Due to the storyline’s main focus, not many took well to an offscreen soap character killing. Like, how do GH writers kill a legend like Lucas Lorenzo Spencer? Let alone in the meaningless why his death was scripted. To read more about what Tony Geary’s co-stars have to say about Luke’s alleged death, CLICK HERE.
GH spoilers and rumors tease that Luke lures Laura with Nikolas Cassadine. Is it a warning? Tracy has been extra ruthless since this most recent return. Perhaps her behavior has something to do with whatever she’s wrapped up in. Regardless, she’s hiding something and someone. But who?
Let us know what you think about this possible twist! Vote on the GH Poll below!
Ava tells Sonny and Carly the truth! Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) isn’t everyone’s favorite person in Port Charles. Although she does have more friends than expected. Considering the things Nina has done, it’s a wonder anyone speaks to her at all. Especially Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Ava Jerome (Maura West).
Ironically, those closest to Nina are people she’s wronged in a big way. General Hospital recaps recall when Nina kidnapped Ava and Sonny’s daughter, Avery Corinthos. Not to mention what she’s done, and continues to do to Sonny, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and the entire family. She can’t leave well enough alone. As a result, General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that her revenge against Carly puts a target on Sonny’s back. In her pathetic attempt to make Carly disappear, Nina ends up being the cause Sonny disappears.
There are only two people other than Nina who know she turned Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) into the SEC. General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Ava tells Sonny and Carly the truth. She turns on Nina, and tells them Nina tipped off the SEC. Nina Reeves went all in and savagely went after Carly. But what she didn’t think of was the domino effect caused by her revenge plan. Nina planned to get rid of Carly by having her sent to prison for insider trading. Instead, she makes Sonny disappear. Whether he ends up in jail or leaves Nina, one thing certain is that she loses him for good.
Victor leaves Port Charles in fear! Thankfully, Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) can breathe a little easier now that her family is home safely. Laura feared for her grandson’s lives when Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) kidnapped Spencer and Ace.
General Hospital recaps recall, Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and baby Ace (Jay and Joey Clay) were aboard the Haunted Star when Victor revealed his nefarious intentions. Trina, Dr. Obrecht, and the entire rescue crew became victims when Victor unleashed his lethal creation. In the end, the rescue crew defeated Victor and all victims returned home safely.
According to General Hospital spoilers, even his family was relieved he was gone, His evil ways knew no bounds as he sacrificed his own son. Miraculously, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) survived his father’s poison. Anna (Finolas Hughes) wasn’t about to let him die, and with Liesl’s help, he pulled through.
General Hospital previews and spoilers reveal that Victor leaves Port Charles in fear. Each individual who received an invitation from beyond will has a chance to learn what message Victor left for them. According to the latest GH spoilers, Laura delivers the disturbing news to Victor’s chosen ones. Previously, General Hospital news reports revealed Charles Shaughnessy’s hint toward Victor’s future. Did the actor spill the tea about an upcoming return?
