General Hospital News And Spoilers: Jeff Kober Says Goodbye As Cyrus’s Reign Of Terror Ends

General Hospital: Jeff Kober says goodbye to General Hospital and Cyrus Renault

Jeff Kober Says Goodbye to General Hospital and Cyrus Renault! Some people say that it’s been a long time coming. But I for one thoroughly enjoyed every scene with Jeff Kober as Cyrus Renault. While villains sometimes overstay their welcome in Port Charles, Cyrus was one bad apple who was so good at being bad that many GH fans couldn’t look away.

General Hospital recaps recall Thursday’s February 20th episode, and the edge-of-your-seat drama that freed Port Charles of a dangerous killer. Cyrus Renault walked into Port Charles pushing drugs onto Sasha Corbin and threatening Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his territory. Soon enough Laura Spencer Collins (Genie Francis) gained two half brothers. Cyrus and his brother Martin Gray (Michael E Knight) revealed their relationship to the Mayor of Port Charles.

An almost-redemption story that never was resulted in a full-fledged serial killer story. Cyrus Renault became more lethal than ever when his spiritual awakening became severely misguided. Lulu, Sam, Dex, Michael, and the innocent people of Turning Woods fell victim to his twisted “healing,” some of whom didn’t make it out alive. There’s no turning back when a villain kills off characters like Sam and Dex. Sadly, General Hospital news reports confirm Jeff Kober’s GH exit, and that Cyrus Renault is dead. Damn Josslyn is a good shot. Great even. That girl’s got skills.

GH’s Jeff Kober Says Goodbye

According to GH news reports, Kober confirms his GH exit and says goodbye to Cyrus and his co-workers at ABC’s General Hospital. Reportedly, the Daytime Emmy winner expressed his thoughts on the end of his road as Cyrus. He told Soap Opera Digest how he feels as he lets go of his role as Cyrus and his time at GH. Kober explained, “You know what? I’m just now starting to process it because I shot five episodes on January 15th, and on January 16th, I flew to India for nearly a month and had all the experiences that one has when one goes to India for nearly a month. I miss going to work, I miss the people, I miss the process. I gotta tell you, I love acting on a soap. It’s so dangerous for an actor to let go and let the scene happen, and General Hospital gave me an opportunity to practice that letting go, day after day after day, and I relished that. And I will miss that.”

There’s no doubt that Jeff made the role of Cyrus Renault one to remember. He will go down as one of the best villains to ever come to Port Charles- he was just so good at being bad. He will be missed.
