Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) became an instant fan favorite when she arrived in Port Charles. A familiar face to Soap Opera fans, Budig was able to quickly establish a connection with the General Hospital fan base.
General Hospital news reports reveal that Rebecca Bidgibwas recently intervened, opening up about her role on General Hospital, as Hayden Barnes.
General Hospital spoilers indicate there have not been any plans in the works for Budig to return as Hayden Barnes. After joining the cast of GH in 2015, written off signing months, putting Barnes in a coma. She then returned and remained a part of the cast until 2017. Rebecca returned once again in 2019 for a short run, leaving fans hopeful for a comeback.
When asked about a potential return, Rebecca told Soap Opera Digest, “I am getting bombarded with that question, honestly.” She continued by making her status with GH clear in her comment about Executive Producer, Frank Valentini. She tells Soap Opera Digest, “Listen, I love Frank, and Frank and I are friends,” she disclosed, “but I haven’t been asked back since I left the show [in 2019].”
General Hospital rumors develop whenever a character’s name starts getting dropped, reminding the audience of their absence. For now, GH fans remain hopeful for Rebecca to return to her role as Hayden Barnes.
