Luke’s iconic look and personality set him apart from other characters, and by the early 1980s he became the most recognizable face on television. Furthermore, his legendary love story with Laura Webber (Genie Francis) set the set the bar for every tv couple that comes after. Reportedly, Luke and Laura’s wedding remains the number one most watched episode in Soap Opera history.
Sadly, Geary retired from acting in 2015. GH fans continue to love and support the character, and many hope for his return. Tony Geary stays relevant with the audience as Port Charles speaks of Luke every so often.
