In the wake of learning he has an inoperable tumor that will turn him back into his old self, Franco turns to Jason to put him out of his misery. Franco plans to keep his diagnosis a secret from his wife, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). He was having flashbacks of recent episodes where his mind was drifting in the direction of how he was before having the tumor removed. Ava Jerome’s painting, the monkey, are signs that Franco is regressing.
