Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) threat to win custody over his father’s unborn child sent Nikolas over the edge. To top things off, Spencer acquired his leverage from Ava Jerome (Maura West). The thought of his son and ex-wife working against him, together, had Nik reeling. Although Laura places blame on her grandson for the pulling the last straw, Nik’s downward spiral has been a long time coming.

According to previous General Hospital rumors and spoilers, controversy surrounds Marcus Coloma’s GH exit. The news came as a shock to fans while Coloma admitted to being “hurt” by the show’s decision. After the announcement regarding Coloma’s exit, fans wondered if Nikolas dies or if the role will be recast. GH news reports revealed that Adam Huss as recast as Nikolas to finish Coloma’s final scenes. From the looks of things, Nik very well might he dead.
