Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) thought her life was beginning some sort of miracle when her husband, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) returned from his presumed death. Nothing made the Corinthos family happier than getting back the man who glues them all together.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Carly’s happiness is a faded memory now that she has Sonny back but doesn’t really have him. She’s hurting deeply knowing that Sonny is mending a broken heart for another woman. Carly needs space and I rant about to sit around in her home with Sonny, watching him get over Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Sonny isn’t giving her the space she needs. He isn’t thinking clearly, and has tried to turn the situation into Carly regarding her feelings for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Carly is feeling like her feelings aren’t being validated. She feels that she needs to be justified in her decision to separate from Sonny, all while knowing she doesn’t need validation from anyone beside herself. However, it does help to have someone in your corner.
General Hospital previews show Carly has support from her daughter, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). She and Carly sit down and discuss the current Corinthos state of affairs. Josslyn reassures Carly that Sonny is in the wrong and even questions why she had to be the one to leave. Josslyn’s concern for her mom and acknowledgement of her pain is a step in the right direction for Carly to know that what she is feeling is going to need time.
Meanwhile, Sonny is losing grip now that his medication has ran out and worn off out of his system. General Hospital rumors suggest that Sonny is headed for a manic episode, and everything is intensified by the situation with Carly and Nina, and now Jennifer Smith has swept in to cause problems with the business. How will Sonny overcome all of this turmoil?
Carly has a lot to ponder these days. Thankfully she has people in her corner to help her through it.
