General Hospital News: Vinessa Antoine Speaks Out On Her Sudden Exit

General Hospital spoilers reveal comments from Vinessa Antoine regarding her sudden and shocking exit from General Hospital. According to TV Water Cooler, Antoine divulged that she did not want to leave her role as Jordan Ashford at all. It turns out, Antoine took on another role in Canada, on a show called, Diggstown. She would have been gone for the Summer and hoped that the Executives over at General Hospital would have been able to accommodate her hiatus with a story line revamp. The writers had already had a story in motion, and declined Antoine’s request to have her character go off on some undercover mission or possible be in a coma.

Vinessa told Canadian soap spoilers page, TV Water Cooler, “I thought that I would get to stay. It was quite a shocker for me. I never planned to leave the show. I was hoping to get to do what the other actors get to do…go on a little sabbatical.”

Antoine was quickly replaced with Briana Nicole Henry who currently plays the role of Jordan Ashford. Were the Execs right to have replace Vinessa while she wanted time away?

General Hospital comings and goings report news that Dr. Portia Robinson makes her debut on Thursday, March 5th when she checks into General Hospital as the newest Doctor.

It looks as though Trina’s father, Detective Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) has died a hero after protecting and saving his daughter Trina from Port Charles latest villain, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Trina’s mother arrives just in time to support her daughter in this tragic time.

General Hospital Spoilers: The Britch is Back! Kelly Thiebaud Returns To General Hospital

It’s no secret that Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) doesn’t have many friends in Port Charles. He destroys every relationship he touches with his schemes and deceptions. Things may start to turn around for Brad when his BFF Britt Westbourne returns to Port Charles! General Hospital spoilers reveal the Britch is back and actress Kelly Thiebaud is taping on set of General Hospital.

Britt Westbourne has many ties in Port Charles, she has a new half brother, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) since they are both offspring of Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). Dr. Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) is Britt’s mother, and Brad of course is her BFF. Britt also had a close relationship with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and the last she knew, Nik was presumed dead.

Britt will have a lot going on when she makes her return, and don’t forget the last time she was in Port Charles, Brad confided in her regarding the Baby Wiley/Jonah switch. She is yet another person who knew of Brad and Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) despicable act.

In an recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, Kelly Thiebaud explains how GH Executive Producer, Frank Valentini, how the return of Britt Westbourne came about this time around. Thiebaud tells Soap Opera Digest, “Frank Valentini reached out to me the beginning of this year and mentioned that the writers wanted to bring me back for a bit, I said, ‘Of course I will! I would love nothing more than that!’” Kelly gave appreciation to GH fans recognition by stating, “a huge reason why I always enjoy going back…. Even if it’s just for a couple of episodes they always seem to really enjoy seeing that character and that makes it more fun and exciting for me.”

It’s unclear what the writer’s intentions are with bringing back this character, but we do know Britt will have a lot do with many of the current residents of Port Charles. Based on the interview, it seems as though her return could be on the shorter side, although we are hoping for a longer run. Are you looking forward to Kelly Thiebaud reprising her role as the spunky and fiery, Britt Westbourne?

General Hospital Spoilers: Anna Sees The Light, Turns On Peter

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has been in denial and is blinded by motherly love when it comes to the man who is believed to be her son. Although Anna knows that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) may not be her son but actually her nephew, she still feels a personal responsibility for him and feels guilty that he was abandoned as a child and subjected to be raised by Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).

Anna has refused to listen to reason which ultimately cost her the relationship she had with her ex-fiance Doctor Finn (Michael Easton). Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) came to Anna asking for help in his and Sam Morgan’s (Kelly Monaco) time of need. Jason needed Anna to help prove the things Peter has done in order to exonerate Sam. Anna couldn’t go against Peter as she his trying to build and maintain a mother/son bond with this man she newly discovered was her child. Although General Hospital rumors suggest Peter is actually Anna’s nephew, for now, Peter is known to be her son.

General Hospital spoilers indicate that Peter’s time is almost up and Anna will soon do what’s right and turn her back on Peter. GH rumors claim Anna will see the light after learning all the awful things Peter has done, not only to help Jason and Sam, but Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) as well.

It’s about time Anna comes around, Sam’s name gets cleared, Maxie knows what she’s dealing with, and Peter gets what he deserves.

General Hospital News: Real Andrews’ Heartfelt Goodbye To Fans, Taggert’s Death Certain

General Hospital fans are up in arms after the death of Detective Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) so soon after his long awaited return. Real Andrews returned to General Hospital after 17 years of being away. He came to Port Charles to help Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) take down a common enemy and ended up on the same side as long time enemy Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

General Hospital rumors suggested that Taggert’s “death” was all part of a grander plan with Sonny Corinthos to fake his death in order to pull one over on super villain, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). However, Real Andrews posted a heartfelt goodbye to his Instagram page in what seems like he is officially thanking the crew over at General Hospital for the opportunity as if he is closing out his run as Marcus Taggert.

General Hospital spoilers reveal Trina’s mom is about to come to Port Charles. Doctor Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) will be making her debut on March 5th.

The burning question that is weighing on GH fan’s minds is whether or not Taggert is really dead. It seems as if it wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense to introduce the mother of Taggert’s child shortly after his death. General Hospital rumors are still strongly suggesting Taggert is still alive, however, Andrew’s recent message to fans leads fans to believe he is really gone.

General Hospital Spoilers: Is Taggert’s “Death” Part Of A Master Plan With Sonny?

Detective Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) and Port Charles mobster Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) set their differences aside to band together for a common goal- to take down Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) who is out to get revenge on Taggert and Port Charles Commissioner, Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry).

In an action filled episode of General Hospital, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), Taggert and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), were able to save Trina Robinson (Sydney Makayla) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) from being kidnapped by one of Cyrus Renault’s men. Their fake driver brought them to a warehouse after contacting Taggert to let him know they had kidnapped his daughter. Cam had sent his mom, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) a text that simply read, “kidnapped” while still in the car, before being brought to the warehouse.

Previously, General Hospital spoilers revealed Marcus Taggert and Sonny Corinthos are working together to protect their loved ones form Cyrus as he has his focus on destroying the city of Port Charles, including taking over Sonny’s territory.

Marcus Taggert returned to Port Charles after being away for almost two whole decades. He and Sonny were arch enemies back then and things have pretty much remained the same, except for one common ground. General Hospital spoilers suggest that Taggert’s untimely death is just a decoy. GH rumors claim Marcus Taggert, Trina’s dad, is not actually dead. He was shot and rushed to GH, stabilized, and then suddenly flatlined. Dr. Lucas Jones explained this is not uncommon for gunshot victims to be stable and then die suddenly due to a blood clot. Trina is beside herself throughout this tragedy. Her father had just told her he would be staying close to her in Port Charles permanently, just moments before his death. Odds are the GH rumors are true, and Taggert and Sonny have plotted to fake Taggert’s death in order to let Cyrus think he is winning, and to protect their loved ones.

General Hospital Spoilers: Dev Is Ready To Leave Port Charles, Can Anyone Change His Mind?

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has a lot going on right now as he and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) are focused on protecting their families from drug lord mobster, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) who recently was transferred to Pentonville. Cyrus managed to get himself transferred to Pentonville in order to get himself close to Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry). Cyrus is out for revenge on Jordan and Taggert (Real Andrews), but he also has a target on Sonny’s back which has been ordered by a secret partner of Renault’s over seas.

General Hospital spoilers previously hinted that the boy Sonny has welcomed into his home, Dev Cerci) (Ashton Arbab), may be in Port Charles for other reasons than initially claimed. Now that there is a full blown mob war that has hit Port Charles, there has been talk of Dev leaving for boarding school. If it were up to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), Dev wouldn’t be going anywhere! With Sonny’s focus on the mob, it was decided that Dev will be sent off to boarding school in order to make things easier on the Corinthos family by not having to protect Dev not only form Cyrus, but to protect his identity as well.

Is Dev (Ashtom Arbab) leaving General Hospital?

Dev and Joss discussed his upcoming departure and it was obvious she wasn’t happy with the news. General Hospital rumors suggest that Dev will not go through with leaving. But what stops him? Will Josslyn convince Dev to stay in Port Charles, or will something go down at the school dance that would change the direction of Carly’s (Laura wright) plans for Dev.
