It was big news when General Hospital officials announced that TV fan favorite was headed to Port Charles. Rebecca Budig has been a great part of ABC daytime for many years as she played Greenlee Smythe on All My Children.
News of the talented actress’ arrival to PC came with much excitement as well has many questions regarding the story line with Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) and Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco). JaSam fans were up in arms because along with the knowledge that Rebecca Budig would be joining the cast of GH was a brief summary of who she would be playing. Rebecca currently plays a woman that has claimed to be Jake Doe’s (Jason) wife, Hayden. This didn’t sit well with fans of the super couple because this woman would be yet another set back to the long awaited JaSam reunion.
If the recent General Hospital rumors are true, JaSam fans can have a bit of relief that this crazy story of Hayden pretneding to be Jake’s wife. GH rumors claim that Rebecca Budig has just taped her last scenes and the character she portrays is on her way out of Port Charles.
If Hayden is on her way out, we are one step closer to Jake finding out the truth and to a Jason and Sam reunion. Happy dance!
It appears that the drama doesn’t only happen on screen in a fictional city we like to call Port Charles. According to the latest from TV Guide’s Michael Logan, there is ongoing drama between ABC and CBS networks.
CBS’ Daytime talk show called The Talk is hosting a Daytime Emmy after party for those Daytime Emmy winners. Should any actors from General Hospital take home an Emmy on April 26th, ABC is not allowing them to attend The Talk‘s post Emmy special.
Apparently there is an ongoing feud between ABC and CBS, and the executives over at ABC do not want General Hospital actors involved in the CBS network show. ABC officals have not commented on this alleged feud, nor have they confirmed that this is indeed a wish of theirs, that the actors must avoid the post-Emmy party hosted by The Talk.
Take a look at TV Guide’s Michael Logan’s tweet referring to the recent allegations.
Seriously ABC? #GH is not allowing its @DaytimeEmmys acting winners (should there be any) to go on The Talk's post-Emmy special on Monday!
With all that is going around right now in Port Charles, it isn’t surprising that someone’s secret gets accidentally exposed. In recent General Hospital spoiler leaks, it has been revealed that Sam overhears a private conversation. As of right now, we are uncertain who this conversation involves and what could possibly be about, but there are many scenarios to consider.
Just to name a few, first, another General Hospital spoiler states that Molly is clued in on Ric’s plans. If Sam overhears a conversation that involves Ric scheming Jake, Sam just might get closer to figuring out that Jake is actually Jason.
Another possibility could be that she overhears Olivia, or someone talking about Olivia. More General Hospital spoilers claim that another person, other than Franco and Nina know about Olivia’s secret. It could very well be Sam who finds out because she fits perfectly into the story. After all, she is Julian Jerome’s daughter, and that child Olivia is carrying is also Julian’s child.
Finally, there is Nikolas, Sam’s cousin. He has a lot to hide right now in regard to his cousin Sam and her husband Jason, and his involvement with psycho granny, Helena. This too could bring Sam closer to discovering her husband has been right in front of her for months.
What do you think is the secret Sam learns in a private conversation she overhears? Let us know if one of these scenarios seems plausible, or if you have any other ideas in mind.
Jackal P.I aka Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) is back in Port Charles and he is ready to get back into the swing of things. Currently he is happy living with his love Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms Barash) and their daughter Georgie (Harper Rose Barash). When he first arrived in Port Charles, Spinelli had a run in with newcomer Billy Miller as Jake (Jason Morgan). Almost instantly, Spinelli found Jake to be oddly familiar and admitted that he reminds him very much of his best friend, Jason Morgan.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Spinelli asks his good friend and business partner, and wife of Jason Morgan, for help. General Hospital rumors have been circulating that Spinelli and Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) next P.I. case will be to investigate Jake. Spinelli has a sneaky suspicion about the guy Maxie referred to as “Jason’s body double.”
Spinelli may be very close to discovering Jake’s true identity. So far he has been the only one to see through the physical differences, and recognize familiarity in the way Jake speaks, as well as his body language. General Hospital Blog previously reported that GH Head Writer, Ron Carlivati is well aware of the fan’s restlessness to get this story moving. He assured fans that it will be sooner rather than later that Jason and Sam will have their long awaited reunion.
This week on General Hospital, intense drama leads up to the Nurses Ball as a mob war breaks out between the Jerome and Corinthos organizations. Many GH rumors have been flying around in regard to who is about to go down. GH rumor has it that there may be two people who get hit with gunfire.
It has been said that since General Hospital spoilers have revealed the departure of Ian Buchanan (Duke Lavery) from GH, rumors speculate he will be the one to get caught in the crossfire. Another GH rumor teases that Jordan, the undercover agent will be shot. Although there are no GH news reports confirming Vinessa Antoine’s departure from General Hospital, it is still possible that Jordan could get shot and injured during the mob shootout. Rumor has it that Duke is the one who orders a hit on Jordan.
All this drama will take place by weeks end, so be sure to watch General Hospital to keep up with the latest hospital drama, mob violence, and romantic scheming.
General Hospital Head Writer, Ron Carlivati gave a hint to fans as to what can be expected on today’s episode of General Hospital. In a General Hospital spoiler via twitter, Carlivati revealed that today, Jake (Billy Miller) may remember that he is Jason after discovering his wedding ring.
Previously, General Hospital Blog had reported Carlivati’s take on the JaSam reunion, and he made a statement that acknowledge GH fans were getting antsy in regard to waiting for Jake to find out he is Jason, and for Jason and Sam (Kelly Monaco) to have their long awaited reunion. Carlivati assured fans that it won’t be too long before the fans receive what they have been waiting desperately for, a JaSam reunion. That being said, with this newest GH spoiler regarding Jake finding Jason’s (his) wedding ring, it could definitely trigger memories of his life with Sam, bringing Jason and Sam, along with the fans, close to the big discover, and reunion.
Check out Carlivati’s tweet below. Let us know what you think, is it about time Jake figures out he is really Jason Morgan?
Today on @GeneralHospital, will Jake recognize his own wedding ring and remember he's Jason? Tune in and find out! #GH
Romantic drama has always been a huge part of daytime soaps. It isn’t juicy unless there is some sort of love triangle going on, and juicy, romantic drama is what we are going to get where Nathan, Maxie, Spinelli, and Ellie are involved.
Ellie Trout is back in Port Charles, just in time to mix things up with the love triangle going on between Spinelli, Maxie, and Nathan. Ellie and Spinelli just recently broke up because Ellie felt that Damian was still in love with his first love and mother of his child, Maxie. Maxie was involved in a fairly new relationship with Detective Nathan West when Spinelli came back to Port Charles to profess his love for Maxie. He wants to be a family with Maxie and their daughter Georgie. After some resistance, and after her boyfriend Nathan told her she should take some time to make a decision, Maxie chose Spinelli.
Literally the moment Maxie and Spinelli declared being together again, Nathan knocked on her door, asking to get back together. Not long after that, Ellie shows up in Port Charles. General Hospital spoilers indicate that Nathan and Ellie will get together. Nathan will escort Ellie to the Nurses Ball this year. General Hospital rumors have been circling, claiming that Nathan and Ellie’s involvement together will make both Maxie and Spinelli jealous. This love triangle just added a fourth element, a square perhaps? Now that Ellie has put herself into an already complicated situation, Maxie and SPinelli may rethink their recent decision to be together.
What do you think about Nathan and Ellie becoming a romantic couple? Is it time to call them “Nellie” yet? Maybe their date to the Nurses Ball will evolve into something more, or maybe it will a catalyst to Maxie realizing she wants to be with Nathan, and Spinelli realizing he wants to get back together with Ellie.
The subject of Nathan’s paternity has been put on the back burner for a long time. Back when Nathan come to Port Charles, everyone including Nathan, was under the impression that his mother was Madeline Reeves.
It turns out that she is actually his aunt, sister of Dr. Liesl Obrecht, Making Dr. O Nathan’s mother. The question of Nathan’s paternity came up along with all these new discoveries, including Nina now his cousin, not his sister. Dr. Obrecht told Nathan that Victor Cassadine is his father, but we all know that’s not the truth. Dr. O even mentioned that his real father, who has not yet been named, is far worse a man than Victor. Who could be so bad that even Dr. Obrecht doesn’t want to admit she fathered his child? GH rumors have speculated everyone from Cesar Faison to Jerry Jacks.  We aren’t exactly sure but General Hospital spoilers indicate that Nina has some information regarding Nathan’s biological dad. If Nina does know the truth, it’s highly likely she will use it to her advantage, to hang over Dr. O’s head.
Do you know who Nathan’s father could be? If you have a guess, leave it in the comments below.
One of General Hospital’s finest recent gems was snatched up from another network. Long time Y&R actress Michelle Stafford left the CBS network to join ABC’s General Hospital in 2013. Her iconic role as Phyllis Newman on Y&R was left for actress Gina Tognioni to fill Stafford’s shoes while Michelle became GH’s crazy Nina Clay.
In the most recent issue of Soaps in Depth, Michelle Stafford revealed that she has taken on a new role… but don’t fear, she will not be leaving General Hospital. She was working on a side project last month, filming for the independent feature, Durant’s Never Closes. Stafford already filed for this movie and she was able to work around her hectic GH schedule.
Michelle Stafford is also working on another side project that is being kept under wraps for now, she is in the director’s seat for that project.
It’s that time of year again! May Sweeps and The Nurses Ball, two things that always include action packed scenes with loads of drama, and many character returns.
Major drama includes the General Hospital spoilers that have confirmed vet actor, Ian Buchanan has been let go from General Hospital. It has been rumored that his character Duke Lavery, will be shot and killed while the Nurses Ball is going on.
General Hospital rumors have already been circulating, and the buzz is that Kimberly McCullough may be returning for the Nurses Ball, since this year it will honor Robin’s great love, Stone (Michael) Cates (Michael Sutton).
The drama and surprises don’t stop there. There is reason to believe that GH fan favorite, Kelly Thiebaud (Dr. Britt Westbourne) will be returning to General Hospital in the near future. Some believe that she will be back for the Nurses Ball, and others seem to think she will be tangled in the Spencer family story line. Whichever the reason, we hoe these rumors are true.
Yesterday a fan tweeted to Kelly Thiebaud, wondering if she will make a surprise return to GH for the Nurses Ball. Although Kelly didn’t directly answer the question, she retweeted the tweet to her own page. This could be an inclination that Kelly will be coming back, most likely for a brief appearance.
Take a look at the fan’s tweet, and Kelly Thiebaud’s retweet on the topic of her return.
