It has been a whole year since Robin Scorpio has left behind her friends and loved ones. In between, we have seen her come and go as we know she is being held captive by Cesar Faison. Still, her husband, parents, child, and friends do not know she is alive. General Hospital’s 50th anniversary is coming up this April 1st, 2013. We have been prepared that there are going to be many surprises waiting for us. Some of these surprises we already know about, such as Rick Springfield’s return as Dr. Noah Drake, Jackie Zeman reprising her role as Bobbi Spencer, etc. Some surprises we have already scene, including Jack Wagner as Frisco Jones, Scotty Baldwin played by Kin Shriner, Laura Spencer played by Genie Francis, and more. Could General Hospital be saving the biggest for last? Will Robin Scorpio returning for GH’s 50th and The Nurses Ball?
Julie Marie Berman, whom we all love and adore has been said to have taped her last episode today, February 26th, as Lulu Spencer Falconeri on General Hospital. As a fan of Ms. Berman and her character Lulu Spencer Falconeri, I am saddened by this news but also wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors. Julie has been an amazing Lulu since October, 2005. Her resemblance to TV Mother Genie Francis as Laura Spencer made it even easier to embrace the talented actress when she first arrive to the GH canvas. Julie’s scenes with TV Father Anthony Geary (Luke Spencer) we nothing short of fabulous. Those two could make you laugh, make you cry, and tug at your heart strings all at once. Ms. Berman and TV husband Dominic Zamprogna (Dante Falconeri) have had undeniable on screen chemistry and have established quite a large fan base for the coupling. Lante, as fans have nicknamed the duo, have been fan favorites for the last few years.
Well Heather has really outdone herself this time. After attacking Olivia with a knife for “getting in the way” of her relationship with her son whom she refers to as Steven Lars, she accidentally stabbed the knife into Steve’s abdomen just as Olivia saw in her vision. Who knows what will happen with Heather’s sanity (or lack thereof) after she faces responsibility for killing her own son.
Scott Reeves who plays Dr. Webber made an announcement a few months back that he was let go from General Hospital. R.I.P. Dr. Steven Webber.
Coming this April, Dr. Noah Drake will be BACK at GH for several episodes. Musician/Actor Rick Springfield will reprise his infamous role as legendary Dr. Noah Drake, Father of our favorite doc hottie, Patrick Drake. Rick Springfield will be accompanied by his real life son, Liam Sprinthorpe, a new to Port Charles character who will be an undercover cop. Springfield’s son has a band called History Lessons. He stated that he feels a bit weird being on the same show with his Dad, but also feels a bit of comfort knowing that GH help launch his Father’s career.
I am just beyond excited to learn that General Hospital’s Ingo Rademacher, Jasper Jax, is one of the 11 contestants on Dancing with the Stars 2013. He will be dancing with the very talented professional, Kym Johnson. It’s so wonderful that GH has yet another cast member dancing their heart out. Congratulations to you Ingo! We know you will be amazing. You have our full support!

This Michael Fairman interview with Steve Burton is absolutely amazing. All the questions the fans have been asking since Steve left General Hospital have finally been answered. Many fans are disgruntled, confused, and even angry at what they THINK the facts are related to the entire situation. From Steve leaving GH to move to Tennessee, to then returning to soaps by joining The Young and The Restless, to the way Jason was written off; fans thought the worst of Steve and/or ABC. I sure hope ALL General Hospital and Steve Burton fans read this interview.
The rumors about Steve plotting to go to Y&R all along, or the executives at GH not offering Burton a compromise are untrue. Steve Burton also explains that Jason’s send off was due to lack of time. Time was running out and the writing team had to come up with something. It would be really great to stop reading such negativity from fans who think Steve was untruthful or that ABC just didn’t care enough to keep him. That is entirely not the case. In the interview, Michael asks Steve about the day he left. Steve explains how difficult it was emotionally and mentions that it was very hard on Maurice Benard (Sonny). This actually brought tears to my eyes. He also mentioned that it was very difficult leaving Kelly Monaco Sam), and that it is still weird not being able to see her everyday.
Michael Fairman also asked Steve if there were plans for Jason’s return to GH for the anniversary show. Steve Burton expressed that he would love to come back for the 50th, but since he is now on CBS he is not sure if that will be allowed. All this being out it the open, I hope fans and Steve Burton have closure now in regards to what really happened during and after the time of his exit. After all thins said and done, Steve did what was best for his family and his life.

If you hadn’t watched General Hospital’s spin off Port Charles some ten years ago, than you probably wouldn’t have much of an idea as to who they were talking about today on GH in regards to the Vampires. Back in the day on Port Charles, King of Vampires, Caleb Morley had two alternative identities One was Michael Morley, a former Priest, and the other was a rock star named Stephen Clay. His stage performances included ‘acting’ like a Vampire. Lucy still believes that the danger in Port Charles is because of the evil doing of a Vampire, named Caleb. McBain tries to explain to her that Stephen Clay is just a sick serial killer.
Hi all! I know I don’t typically post about outside projects or what the actors are doing in their personal lives, (except Kelly Monaco and DWTS), but I felt that Maurice’s amazing work should be recognized. Not only is he a General Hospital vet who we can’t imagine the show without, his talents exceed more than what we see every day at 2PM. It’s apparent in his work that he is an extremely talented actor. His multifaceted artistic talents never cease to amaze. Now GH’s favorite mobster, Sonny Corinthos, played by Maurice Benard, is stepping into a new role in a film called “The Ghost and the Whale.” We are very excited to get to see him in another project along with his work on General Hospital. A recent article in Soaps in Depth magazine suggests that the actress Julie Marie Berman, who plays Lulu Spencer Falconeri, may be leaving General Hospital. Her contract with the show is ending soon and Berman is undecided on whether or not she will stay. She wants to pursue other endeavors but may extend her role a few months to give Lulu a proper send off. GH has also sent out a casting call notice for a possible recast. If the role of Lulu does indeed get recast, how would you all feel if Jen Lilley was the one to take Julie’s place?
