In 1996, the late Tyler Christopher originated the role of Nikolas Cassadine. As the first and most authentic Dr. Prince, Tyler set the stage and paved the way for his successors. Today, his depiction of a true Cassadine lives on to inspire others.
Over the years Tyler Christopher became a household name, and the role of Nikolas Cassadine was iconized by the Emmy winning actor. That’s why it’s not surprising that those who’ve played the role after Christopher look upon his work as a guide.
Fast forward some years and a few Nikolas Cassadine recasts later, General Hospital found the perfect fit. GH fans warned up to Marcus Coloma in no time, becoming comfortable with his portrayal of this beloved character.
General Hospital news reports confirm that GH is onto yet another Nikolas. Adam Huss seems to be the permanent fixture after Coloma’s shocking GH exit. Despite the fan backlash, Marcus Coloma has yet to return. However, Huss has made a big impression on fans after the emotional scene with his tv son. Shockingly, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and his dad Nikolas reunited after dear old dad’s disappearance. The most shocking part of this all is that Nikolas and his son put their issues aside for Ace and for their own relationship. The scenes were natural and raw. Additionally, Nik and Spencer’s emotional scene seem to capture a familiar feel.
General Hospital news and spoilers report that Adam Huss revealed his secret. There’s no question that scenes like those take preparation. Evidently, Adam Huss extensively prepared for his first major Nikolas Cassadine scene. Recently, Huss revealed to Soaps In Depth, “I watched a lot of scenes between Tyler Christopher and Nicolas Bechtel. What a beautiful dynamic they had, especially in the scenes around the fire when Spencer got burned and Nikolas was at the hospital.”
From there Huss then filmed the Nikolas and Spencer reunion scenes with Nicholas Alexander Chavez. GH spoilers reveal Adam’s take on Nik and Spencer’s relationship. He continued to Soaps In Depth, “I believe what transpires between them is sincere, and there is a sincere want and need from Nikolas to reconnect with Spencer. Which is why he is ready to face whatever he is going to face when it occurs. I also believe he would be willing to do whatever it takes in that moment to get what he needs. It’s definitely interesting, the direction it goes in.”
Are you ready to see what becomes of Nikolas, Spencer, Ava, Esme, and Ace?
Well, well, well, if it isn’t dear old dad. Once again, Spencer Cassadine’s father mastered his disappearing act. The way Spencer sees it, Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) chooses himself over his son over and over again.
Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) is stuck between a rock and a hard place. He’s tangled in Esme and Nikolas’s web of deception and he doesn’t want his little brother to suffer. He knows that he must make the best decision for Ace, but when your two choices are Esme or Nikolas, it makes things difficult. How is Spencer supposed to choose between Ace’s parents? One is Spencer’s own father and the other is his semi-reformed, psycho ex-girlfriend.
Prior to Esme’s fall from the parapet, there’s no way in Hell that Spencer would have chosen to help his ex fight for her son. Retrospectively, Spencer despised Esme for the things she’d done. All the lies, the crimes, and the people she’s hurt were never going to get past Spencer. Then, his baby brother was born and Spencer saw a different side of Esme. The amnesia allowed the young mother to focus on her son instead of seeking revenge. But now that her memories have returned, Esme herself is torn between her old self and her new self.
Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) was once in love with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl). That was a life time ago in teen years, but the young couple can’t escape each other.
Fast forward and Spencer has moved on to Trina, and Esme is a mother. Things look a lot different these days after Spencer learned of all Esme’s betrayals. After Esme and Nikolas slept together Spencer couldn’t look at either of them the same way again. Today, Spencer’s moved on, and he and Trina are happy together.
Will Spencer Keep Esme’s Secret?
General Hospital spoilers and rumors indicated that Esme is in over her head. Since having those flashbacks, Esme can’t shake that old part of herself. In fact, she even justified her last actions to her mom, Heather Webber (Alley Mills). But now Esme pleads with Spencer for help while she says that she’s a changed woman. Is she really though? We know that Esme had flashbacks, that means she lied to Spencer after lying to Laura. But GH recaps recall that Spencer caught on to his ex-girlfriend after she accused him of dodging consequences his entire life.
General Hospital spoilers and rumors hint that “Spence” keeps Esme’s secret for Ace’s sake. She’s become a good mother and believes that Ace is better with his mom than without her.
Nikolas Cassadine has mystified himself by his cryptic disappearance and weird bank account activities over seas. No one has had a clue of his whereabouts for months, including his children, Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Ace (Jay and Joey Clay).
General Hospital recaps recall Nikolas and Spencer Cassadine’s troubled relationship. Once upon a time Nikolas and his son Spencer were a happy little family. Over time their bond deteriorated due to selfishness and vengeance. As for Nikolas’s son Ace, he doesn’t even know him. Ace is just a baby, and Nik disappeared just as he was being born.
Nikolas Cassadine Visits Ava
Reportedly, GH News confirms that Adam Huss returns to reports his role as Nikolas Cassadine. He was last on the show back in early September of 2023. After months of speculation and fan discussion over who will play Nikolas Cassadine, Huss has stepped back into the role. Prior to Huss, Nikolas was most recently played by Marcus Coloma until his 2023 exit. Back in early Fall the news broke that Coloma’s contract would not renew. Sadly, Marcus’s three years as Nikolas was over and dans weren’t happy. Before his sudden death, Nikolas Cassadine’s original portrayer, Tyler Christopher was rumored as a possible candidate for the role post Marcus’s exit. Unfortunately, his tragic death devastated fans and loved ones.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Nikolas is back to get revenge on Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), the mother of son, Ace. It’s no secret that she and her father, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) set out to destroy Nikolas and Ava’s marriage, and succeeded. One thing lead to another and that’s why Ava was the very first person that Nikolas saw upon his return. He wanted to address a little problem called Esme. As far as he and Ava are concerned, Ryan got what he deserved. But now Nik says it’s Esme’s turn. Will Ava team up with Nikolas to take down his baby mama?
Nikolas reclaims Wyndemere and fights Esme for Ace
It’s been almost a year since the last time that Ava Jerome (Maura West) saw her husband. She thought that she killed him and lived in fear ever since. With Austin’s help Ava was able to move and hide Nikolas Cassadine’s body. Although she and Austin were originally the only two [so she believed] who knew what she’d done, Ava eventually trusted Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) with her secret.
GH recaps highlight last February when Ava was met with the beginning of this ongoing nightmare. Nikolas eventually spiraled out of control. That’s when he barged in and threatened to disappear with Ava and Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) daughter Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola). We all know what happened next. Inevitability, Nikolas returns to Port Charles. He isn’t done with Ava just yet after she practically killed him and then slept with the late Dr. Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth). This means that Nikolas is ready for the ultimate comeback where he reclaims Wyndemere and fights Esme for Ace.
General Hospital spoilers warn that Esme could face a nasty custody battle. If she thinks that Spencer hanging over her shoulder is rough, wait until she experiences the Dark Prince. According to the latest General Hospital rumors, Nikolas returns with a vengeance. Spencer, Esme, and Ava are his driving force.
What will Esme and Spencer to do protect Ace? Just about anything… 😲
I don’t know how you all feel, but I love Joe Sonny is looking out for Ava. The thing is that she isn’t the one who killed Austin but it sure looks that way, doesn’t it? What if that’s exactly what someone has planned for Ava Jerome (Maura West)?
General Hospital recaps highlight the emphases that was made on Ava and Austin’s relationship. Sonny pointed out the not-so-obvious to Ava how an outsider could believe that she is the one who murdered Dr. Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth). Might they think, a lover’s quarrel? It’s quite possible that no matter how look at it, Ava looks guilty as sin.
General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Ava has to do some quick thinking to save her own behind. Not too long ago she had to scramble to find a way to cover up what she thought was a homicide. As it turns out, she didn’t kill Nikolas Cassadine at all. In fact, he’s very much alive.
According to the latest GH spoilers and rumors, Nikolas isn’t just alive, he’s out for revenge. From the looks of things, Ava as a motive for murder. Nikolas frames Ava for Austin’s murder as the perfect payback. For one, Nikolas knows that Ava thinks that she killed him. And for two, it’s possible that Nikolas knows all about Ava’s bedroom rendezvous with Austin Holt.
Will Nik’s anger and jealousy send Ava straight to Pentonville?
You’re probably wondering how in the Hell Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Nikolas Cassadine (last played by Adam Huss) would ever get together. Well, it’s complicated. It’s no secret that Portia can’t stand the entire Cassadine family, but ill feelings didn’t stop Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) from their random crypt encounter. In fact, something much bigger than themselves resulted from that night.
So, does that mean that someone has to die inorder for Portia and Nikolas to throw themselves at one another? Odds are that won’t be the case. Instead, one thing leads to another upon Nikolas Cassadine’s return. General Hospital spoilers tease that Portia isn’t done meddling in her daughter Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) love life. Currently, Trina and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) are at odds over this situation with Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) and baby Ace (Jay and Joey Clay). Regardless, Trina and Spencer truly love each other. Maybe they’ll work this out, maybe they won’t. But this is for Trina to decide.
Spencer and Trina Spark Nikolas and Portia’s Tawdry Affair
GH spoilers tease that Nikolas’s return triggers Spencer. Nikolas abandoned his son in the past and Spencer can’t see past the selfishness. So when Nik comes home, odds are he won’t receive a warm welcome from his son. But instead Spencer lashes out at his father. Additionally, GH rumors tease that Trina finds out that Portia has even sabotaging her relationship. After all, Trina’s mother is the reason that Esme moved into Laura Spencer’s (Genie Francis) home in the first place. Of course, Portia knew exactly what she was doing when she nudged Esme to move in close to her ex.
Shocking General Hospital spoilers and rumors claim that Trina is so angry with Portia that she shuts her out. Moreover, Spencer follows suit and writes off his own father. These dysfunctional parents both pushed their kids to the limit and now they face the consequences. As it turns out, life gets lonely when your children won’t speak to you. But how lonely will Nikolas and Portia get? Enough so that they lean on each other to cope with mistakes?
It’s a good thing that Roger Howarth’s versatility is evident through in his performances. The roles he plays tend to change up like the wanderer trying to find themselves. Over the years Howard has played many different roles in daytime television. But his iconically known role is one soap fans will never forget. Undoubtedly, Roger’s portrayal of Todd Manning is one of the most recognized roles in the genre.
Furthermore, Howarth was brought on to play the iconic Franco after James Franco stepped away from the infamous role. Then, Roger’s portrayal of Franco’s unexpected demise shook the fans. Then lastly, Howarth returned yet again, this time as a mysterious a doctor from Pautuck, Dr. Austin Gatlin Holt. As it turns out, Austin is also a Quartermaine.
Last month General Hospital news reports confirmed Howarth’s upcoming GH exit. I’m early October, Roger addressed Austin’s departure and explained the nature of the exit. Thankfully, General Hospital spoilers reveal that they Austin isn’t gone for good. Despite the latest cliffhanger Friday episode, GH news and spoilers confirm that Dr. Austin Holt isn’t dead. Therefore, Roger Howarth’s GH exit is only temporary.
For the full story please check out our article that was shared on October 11th. Howarth’s explanation is posted below.
If you think Cyrus Renualt (Jeff Kober) found God, please think again. Most GH fans believe that he is lying through his teeth. Maybe at first, but now it’s safe to say that practically no one believes his newfound spirit. Surely, Cyrus has gotten about as close to finding God as I have to finding my keys when I’m late for an appointment.
Who would have thought that Cyrus and Nikolas Cassadine would work so closely together? It’s true, things aren’t always as they seem. According to General Hospital spoilers and rumors, Nikolas and Cyrus have more of a relationship than anyone imagine. However, not all relationships are good. Even those among family. Cyrus may very well be Nikolas’s uncle, but that doesn’t mean they have a good relationship. In fact, Nik’s long lost uncle is one of the last people he’d want to be in cahoots with.
GH recaps recall the tragic event that changed the Spencer family in an instant. That’s when Cyrus ordered a bomb to the Floating Rib and Julian Jerome (William deVry) carried out the attack. Then, in an instant, the incident landed Nikolas’s sister Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) in a coma.
Back in 2021, Nikolas threatened his big bad uncle after what happened to Lulu. Since then, Cyrus has had it out for Laura’s son. GH spoilers tease that Nikolas is working with Cyrus. To clarify, GH rumors tease that he’s working with him out of obligation, not by choice. This could be Renault’s way of getting back at Nikolas for threatening him back in 2021.
Cyrus most definitely has something up his sleeve. We know that Nikolas is connected to Mason (Nathanyael Grey) and Austin (Roger Howarth), while those two goons report to Nik’s uncle Cyrus. That leads fans to believe that Cyrus is in charge of his nephew too. Remember when Cyrus had Martin give all of his l key away? Well, maybe since jikolas has money, Cyrus figured he can bank on that. That said, GH fans want to know who wants to buy Wyndemere. GH rumors tease that it’s Cyrus, but he uses Nikolas’s Cassadine fortune. But what will Nik get out of it? Nothing, or did he and Cyrus somehow form an alliance and put their differences aside?
Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) misses her son and went to great lengths to find him. Risking her life, Laura and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) set out on a journey to find her son. So, where is Nikolas Cassadine? Or a better question is, “Who is Nikolas Cassadine?”
Nikolas Cassadine is arguably one of the most popular characters on ABC’s General Hospital. His family lineage includes decades of eccentric, powerful people, who are also known for their dangerous schemes and power moves. That said, General Hospital fans everywhere undoubtedly know exactly who Nikolas Cassadine is. After all, he’s Spoon Island and Port Charles’s Dark Prince.
For years, Tyler Christopher was the only name and face that came to mind when fans think of GH’s Nikolas Cassadine. However, as years passed and Tyler and GH went their separate ways, other stepped into the role. Ultimately, the second to become the face associated with the Dark Prince is actor Marcus Coloma. From 2019-2023, Coloma too was Nikolas Cassadine through and through. Despite the incredible shoes to be filled, Marcus impressed fans and warmed into our hearts.
His sudden General Hospital exit came as a shock to fans as Coloma had become such a fan favorite. Then, GH news repoets confirmed that Adam Huss would step in for Coloma’s last scenes. According to GH news recaps, Coloma was unable to fulfill his obligation to the role due to Covid.
Is Marcus Coloma Ready To Return To General Hospital
The latest General Hospital news and spoilers reveal that Marcus recently addressed a GH return. While Nikolas remains living as an expatriate in his attempt to remain mysteriously missing, he’s bound to return home soon. A recent fan event reveals that Marcus Coloma addressed a GH return. Fans were pleasantly surprised when Coloma revealed his future General Hospital plans. Undoubtedly, the current storyline surrounding Nikolas is peeks curiosity and fans ask the burning question. When addressing a potential GH return, Coloma left the door open. “If I felt like the fans were unanimously reaching for me to come back, then I would go back for the fans.”
The people of Port Charles, along with GH fans haven’t seen Nikolas Cassadine in months, other than a brief cameo played by Adam Huss. Ultimately, since we know that Marcus is willing to return to the role, are TPTB ready to welcome him back as Nikolas?
