In terms of “getting what he wants,” that doesn’t necessarily mean what he wants is solely to benefit himself. Many times Valentin felt the ends justified the means when it came to helping others. When it comes to Peter August (Wes Ramsey), Valentin would protect him at all costs. Peter and Valentin have what mimics a father/son type of relationship as Valentin understands Peter had a tough past with Faison (Anders Hove) as his father.
