Nina calls off the wedding!?!? …Will Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) make it to the altar?

GH Spoilers: Well, what do you know? This just might be the first unselfishly motivated act that we’ve seen out of Nina in a long time. Honestly, I’m impressed, and even surprised by this. So, let’s stop and think before we give her credit. Odds are that her decision is not completely selfless.

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has a one-track mind. She holds onto hope that her chosen path will lead to everything she’s ever wanted. The problem is that Nina doesn’t consider the damage inflicted on others. In her quest for a happily ever after, she sets the fires and then plays the victim. Because in Nina’s mind the end justifies the means. Additionally, anyone in her way is collateral damage.

General Hospital recaps highlight Nina’s latest revenge tactic. She’s got her eyes on the prize but gets in her own way with her jealousy and insecurities. Obviously, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is the source of Nina’s insecurities. So it’s just like Nina to try and eliminate the competition. Despite Sonny’s proposal and profession of love, Nina’s insecurities caused her to take action against her enemy.

How would she ensure that Carly is out of the picture?! Easy. That’s when she pulled out the incriminating information about Carly sent to jail. Although the plan seemed like a good idea to Nina, she’s quickly learning what a colossal mess she’s made. Most importantly, she fears she’ll lose Sonny when he finds out what she’s done to Carly and the entire family.

Luckily for Nina, she still has a friend left in her corner. But, this friend isn’t going to tell her what she wants to hear. Ava Jerome (Maura West) has ties to both Sonny and Carly. Obviously, Nina shot her self in the foot long ago when it comes to Willow. But, that young woman has an old soul and a heart of gold. Those who know Willow say she’s a loving and fair person. However, when it comes to Nina, she might be the one person that pushes one too many of Willow’s buttons. Sadly, even when Nina shows a minuscule act of kindness, she manages to destroy what little progress she made.

Nina’s no match for Sonny! Whether you are a fan of Sonny and Nina’s pairing, or you’re not, Nina’s lack of mob experience can’t be denied or ignored. Denying it only makes things worse in the sense that not all trauma is equal to mob-life type of trauma. And ignoring Nina’s lack of experience in Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) world is downright reckless.

That being said, no matter how you slice it, Nina and Sonny just don’t mesh well.

According to recent General Hospital spoilers and rumors, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) point out the obvious. Today, these two former Mob Queens come together with a surprisingly civil discussion. Of course, the topic is none other than Ava’s buddy and Carly’s pesky enemy, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

Recent General Hospital previews indicate that Carly wants to know all about her friendship with Nina. She can’t fathom what those two could possibly have in common other than their mutual hate for Carly. To Carly’s surprise, she and Ava agree on something. Carly and everyone knows that Nina isn’t equipped to handle Sonny’s life. Not in the way she and Ava are. And with that, Ava can’t deny Carly that fact.

Carly and Ava team up! Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) have a few things in common. For starters, they both know how to handle danger, and they both have children with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). As two strong, independent women, these ladies become a force when they band together.

General Hospital recaps recall, back in Nixon Falls, Nina Reeves’s (Cynthia Watros) version of Sonny sheltered her from his dark side. Sonny’s amnesia protected Nina from Sonny’s whole self, including his business. After his tragic fall, “Mike” didn’t remember his past life as a husband to Carly, a father, and a mobster. On the contrary, the woman who claimed to care for him knew about his true identity and said nothing. Still, her superficial awareness about his business means nothing in regard to knowing how to handle the dangerous reality.

Now, Nina’s bubble is about to burst. The man she knew as “Cowboy Mike,” is now back to his old self. Nina, meet Sonny Corinthos. Family man, friend, and mob boss. Of all Sonny’s exes, Nina knows the least about what it’s like to stand by your man- when your man is Mr. Corinthos. According to GH spoilers, Carly and Ava team up when word about upcoming danger passed through Sonny’s circle.

Recent General Hospital rumors tease Nina ends up on the outside looking in. Things become much clearer to Nina despite her view from the back. See, Carly Corinthos and Ava Jerome’s experience with Sonny’s life draws them together to protect their children. Ava’s daughter Avery, along with Carly’s daughter Donna, are the youngest of Sonny’s children. Therefore, Ava and Carly’s youngest daughters are most vulnerable to the situation. Odds are that Carly’s comments to Nina will start to sink in. She just doesn’t have what it takes.
