It is with a heavy heart that General Hospital Blog shares the devastating news of GH star’s tragic death. On Saturday, May 25th Johnny Wactor passed away in Los Angeles.
GH’s Brando Corbin Johnny Wactor Dead After Robbery
According to TMZ, Johnny and a co-worker were walking in downtown Los Angeles. That’s when they noticed three men near the actor’s vehicle. Sources say that Johnny’s mother Scarlett was told that he was robbed and didn’t fight back. Sadly, Wactor gave them what they wanted (a catalytic converter) and was shot and killed anyways.
GH news reports confirm that Johnny Wactor played Brando Corbin on ABC’s General Hospital from 2020 to 2022. Brando had a major role as Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) cousin, Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) husband, and Gladys Corbin’s (Bonnie Burroughs) son. He got his acting career rolling in 2007 on the show Army Wives. General Hospital Blog and GH fans are shocked and disgusted by this news. Our hearts go out to his mom Scarlett, and the rest of his family and friends.
General Hospital news reports confirm that the GH cast has begun to share their condolences and memories of Johnny via social media. We will keep Johnny, his mother, and their family in our hearts as we mourn right along with his close loved ones.
How could she?! That’s the big question as of late. Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) has more b@lls than the Kerry Hotel ball pit in Pudong Shanghai, which is the largest in the world. In fact, the Kerry Hotel holds the title in the Guinness Book Of World Records. Now that’s big!
Disturbed is an understatement for the effect Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) storyline had on GH fans. According to GH news, fans have reportedly expressed that this storyline is too much and that they do not watch the scenes. Additionally, some threaten to step watching General Hosptial altogether if the torture doesn’t end ASAP for Sasha.
Personally, I find Sasha’s struggle with Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) and Dr. Montague (Darin Toonder) riveting. While undoubtedly disturbing, Sofia is able to showcase her true acting talents as she depicts Sasha’s agony. General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that the audience finally reaps the reward of sticking it out as the writers inflict more and more pain onto one young woman.
Brando Haunts Gladys
Gladys is about to get what’s coming to her, and Sonny Corinthos is the one to deliver! She’s so afraid of cousin Sonny that Gladys threw Sasha under the bus again to save herself from her cousin the mobster. Although it’s hard to imagine, but GH rumors tease that Sonny isn’t all she has to endure. What on Earth (or not) could possibly be worse than Sonny’s wrath? How about being haunted by your dead son. Ya know, the one who’s widow Gladys betrayed.
The loss of Brando Corbin and his portrayer, Johnny Wactor, from ABC’s General Hospital has hit the fan base community hard. The death of Brando came as a shock to many, having many unanswered questions.
General Hospital news reports confirm that Johnny Wactor’s role as Brando has been killed off the longest running soap opera, leaving his onscreen wife Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and mother Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) to pick up the pieces.
Fans have been anxiously waiting on a statement from Wactor regarding the confirmation of his departure. General Hospital spoilers reveal Johnny has taken to social media to speak out, reaching out to the GH fans. Johnny shared a heartfelt message that personally left us at General Hospital Blog in tears. He admits that he has been “blown away” by fan reactions, confessing he had no idea that we the fans cared so much.
Johnny Wactor goes on to praise General Hospital fans for their dedication. He reminds us all that theee is no fan base quite like this one, as GH fans are extremely loyal. He mentions how the shoe sits 252 episodes a years and we all keep coming back for more.
In the soap opera world, nothing is permanent or absolute. It’s true that we watched Brando die before our eyes, there is a body, and it would look as though there’s no way he could ever come back. However, being the loyal General Hospital fans that we are, we know that in soap operas, anything is possible.
GH spoilers reveal Wactor gave fans a shred of hope when thanking us for wishing him well in his future endeavors- whatever they may be. He didn’t leave out the answer to everyone’s burning question when he said that his future endeavors could include him returning to Port Charles someday.
In his video message below, Johnny expresses his genuine gratitude for having been given the opportunity to bring Brando to life and for the loyalty from the fans. He recognizes how blessed he is while making it clear that he will miss everything about playing Brando; from the job itself to the love and support from fans.
We can now only hope and pray that someday the writing on General Hospital will take some twists and turns which would land Johnny Wactor back in Port Charles.
We can’t deny that the death of one of our favorite characters, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) has effected our hearts more than we could have imagined.
We are extremely heartbroken by the death of Brando Corbin.
He and Sasha would have made it for the long haul. Brando was every example of how a man should love his wife. He supported her without judgement, was her inspiration, her rock, and her everything. Stood up for her even when she was wrong because that’s his one shows their strength and unity with the person they chose to walk through life.
Brando loved Sasha completely and selflessly. He stood by her even when she was wrong, out of control, and making choices that were severely effecting both of their lives in a negative way. He loved her anyway. He got her help in her darkest hours instead of kicking her while she was down or throwing in the towel when she made mistakes.
He understood her pain and had done everything in his power to help shield her from herself and those who sought out to harm her.
A love like Brando and Sasha’s doesn’t happen every day. As fictional love stories go, many in the real world can only hope and pray to find someone who loves them so unconditionally and completely, selflessly, and sacrificially.
Their love story was epic. Let their story serve as hope for the hopeless romantics; those who just want to know they are safe with the one they love and is loved in return.
For a few weeks, the people of Port Charles have been rattled and left unsettled knowing there is dangerous attacker in the loose. After ruling out Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), the attack on Ava Jerome (Maura West) seemed to have been chosen at random.
General Hospital spoilers reveal, these two attacks were anything but random. GH recaps recall events leading up to the assumptions that these people were targeted purposely as individuals who are close to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
General Hospital rumors and spoilers suggest that Selina Wu (Lydia Look) is marking her territory in Port Charles, letting Sonny know what he’s up against if he ever crossed her.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) leads the way in suspicions that Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) was intentional. His symptoms which caused his death don’t correspond with his initial injuries.
Sasha, Gladys, and Sonny need answers as they grieve for Brando without closure. GH rumors speculate that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) may have been the one to have taken Brando out. We was the one visibility around when Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) left and Brando followed. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) wants to destroy Sonny from the inside out- and this may be his way of doing just that.
As Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) comes face to face with the unscrupulous hook attacker, his family awaits his return as the dinner table.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Brando won’t be returning to his family dinner with his wife Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and his mom Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs). Brando stepped out for a moment which then Sasha told him to hurry back.
General Hospital recaps recall Sasha reluctantly succumbing to the deal to keep herself out of Pentonville, but comforted in knowing that her husband Brando will be there for her every step of the way.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Sasha is blindsided by yet another blow to her life and emotional/mental state when she finds out Brando become the attacker’s next victim.
General Hospital rumors hint that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will be suspicious of Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) since he was around the area at the same time of the attack.
General Hospital rumors claim that Brando will die, leaving Sasha to go it alone. She needs Brando now more than ever, and if he dies, she could be forced to serve time in Pentonville, or worse, completely break down, reversing her healing process. This woman has endured so much loss in recent times, and if General Hospital rumors are true, she’ll be mourning the loss of Brando, too.
Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) took a huge step in her self healing process by agreeing to signing her rights over to her husband, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor).
General Hospital spoilers reveal Sasha has put her trust in Brando after he has shown he will do anything and everything to help her get through her darkest days.
General Hospital previews indicate that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Sasha have a heart to heart about her situation, and Sonny’s words of support and encouragement were meant to comfort Sasha. Sasha knows she can count on Brando, and sonny made it a point to tell her he will always be there for her.
General Hospital spoilers and previews reveal Sasha’s devastation sets in when Brando is discovered bleeding out from another brutal attack by the mysterious hook attacker. GH previews show Brando coming face to face with a life or death threat, and the identity of the attacker.
General Hospital rumors have been going crazy, speculating the death of Brando and Johnny Wactor’s exit in the role. GH news and comings and goings reports have yet to confirm Wactor’s exit, so fans should hang tight and watch the story play out. All we can do is hope that Brando doesn’t die. Sasha needs him now more than ever.
Every time Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) has a public meltdown, one can only think she’s finally hit rock bottom.
General Hospital recaps recall Sasha’s disastrous incidents which resulted in not only personal and professional embarrassment, but harm and destruction to others.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Sasha is finally ready to receive the help she needs after rejecting Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) legal proposal presented by Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight). Her latest outburst in public when discussing her role at Deception with Founder, Lucy Coe, has left Sasha vulnerable and in desperate need. Thankfully she has Brando on her side.
General Hospital rumors hint it may be too late for Sasha to get out of paying the price for her actions. Public disturbance and destruction of property are crimes in which require time served. Is Sasha headed to jail and is Brando ready to handle what’s next?
There isn’t a doubt in the world that Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) are the real deal when it comes to true love. But sometimes love isn’t always enough.
General Hospital recaps recall Sasha’s most recent breakdown after being mentally and emotionally triggered during her feature talk show appearance while testing our baby products. Brando rushed to her side, along with her other supporters, co-workers, friends, and family. They all want what’s best for Sasha even if she doesn’t see things their way.
General Hospital spoilers reveal this unresolved issue with Sasha will create a rift between the fairly newlyweds. General Hospital previews indicate Sasha will question Brando’s faith in her. Although he believes his wife has the best of intentions for herself, he doesn’t trust she’ll be able to follow through. Brando knows all too well how strong the hold addiction has on someone.
General Hospital rumors speculate Brando wants to stand by his wife, but I’d sue isn’t helping herself there’s no telling how long they’ll be able to hold on before their love is no longer enough.
Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) has tried his hardest to stand by his wife, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), as she battles addiction.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that even someone as kind and understanding as Brando reaches a breaking point. Sasha keeps on insisting that she doesn’t need help with her life and the choices she’s making as a result of her drug addiction.
General Hospital previews and spoilers show Brando and Sasha having a heating conversation in the middle of GH. Sasha keeps insisting that she doesn’t need/want to be controlled. At this point, after refusing rehab and having the delusion that she has things under control, Brando tells her like it is and says that maybe someone does need to take control of her life.
Brando feels for Sasha and everything she and the both of them have been through. But General Hospital rumors hint that Brando is at the point where he feels enough is enough. Can their love and marriage make it through their dark days?
