She found out she is carrying the genetic marker for Huntington’s and Disease which she inherited from her father. She curses Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) name for the inescapable memento he left behind. 

Unfortunately for Britt, what Cesar left behind can’t be passed down or thrown away. General Hospital spoilers reveal Dr. Westbourne has been coasting along after she learned she had the genetic marker. Some mild symptoms aligning with the disease were overlooked. However, according to Britt’s recent medical review, her Huntington’s Disease prognosis is further along than anticipated.

Discovering she carried the genetic marker for Huntington’s Disease served as a stepping stone toward Britt’s bond with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Because of the threat Britt was facing, she was able to experience her own vulnerability. Furthermore, expressing her vulnerable side allowed for that connection to be made with Jason.
