GH news reports reveal Executive Producer, Frank Valentini, along with General Hospital’s two longest running contract actors, Maurice Benard and Genie Francis, shared some inside scoop with ABC7 Entertainment Reporter, George Pennacchio, surrounding the special June 20th episode.

When speaking with Pennacchio regarding the remarkable longevity of GH, Francis disclosed, “Well, I don’t think anybody can believe that it’s been on this long. It’s quite an accomplishment, isn’t it? And it’s gone through different generations of people, Genie continued, “I’m very happy with how the character has grown and changed. In the beginning, of course, she was very, very vulnerable and now I focus much more on her strength.”
