Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) was heartbroken when Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) suddenly pulled the rug on their potential as a couple. Britt and Jason connected when they both needed someone most, just for Jason to go ahead and blind side Britt with the news of marrying Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).

Now that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is back, everything is right in the world, or so it should be. Carly and Jason’s marriage no longer stands, making Jason a free man.

Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is trying to juggle everything that’s been thrown her way in the recent past. From adventure to illness, heartbreak to job change, and now her mother’s disappearance, Britt must face yet another hardship.

Britt’s mother, Dr. Liesl Obrecht has been abducted by Viktor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), by the order of his contact, Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Peter intercepted Liesl and Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) plan to lure him to St. Lucia where Liesl was planning for him to meet his demise.

According to recent General Hospital spoilers, Britt’s worry for her mother grows and she is faced with making a decision. General Hospital previews indicate Britt will be leaving the country and heading off to Greece in search for her mother.

Peter August has already admitted to being the one to arrange Liesl’s abduction by his point of contact, (Viktor Cassadine). General Hospital rumors suggest Britt will get a tip on her mother’s possible whereabouts, leading her to Greece.

Charles Shaughnessy had played as Shane and Drew Donovan on DOOL, on and off from 1984-2017. In between he has had significant roles such as playing Mr. Sheffield, alongside Fran Drescher on, The Nanny.

Although the identity of the role remains under wraps, General Hospital rumors have begun, making claims on which character, new or recast, will be played by Shaughnessy.
