General Hospital News And Spoilers: Kelly Thiebaud Returns! What Does This Mean For Britt… And Jason?!

Kelly Thiebaud Returns!

When she first arrived in Port Charles, Dr. Britt Westbourne was trouble. She was a successful doctor which helped her ego, and a little baddie when it came to her personal life. She knew what she wanted and she went after it.

Over the years Dr. Westbourne went from living up to her nickname, “The Britch,” to becoming a much softer version of herself. Eventually, she and her mother repaired their troubled relationship and became very close. Her shocking death rocked Port Charles as Britt died in Liesl’s arms.

Kelly Thiebaud left the soap in early January of 2023. The star’s exit devastated fans in a way that was more hard hitting than many other GH exits. This makes it extremely difficult for her character to return. However, it’s difficult but not impossible. After all, this is a Soap Opera. According to General Hospital news reports, Kelly Thiebaud returns home to the United States after living in London with her then boyfriend PJ Harrison. Last month General Hospital Blog shared a possible clue that was posted by Thiebaud on the social media platform, X.

General Hospital can be a revolving door for certain actors on the show. Throughout the years many have gone on to other things with the safety net of a welcomed return. That is, only if you’re a fan favorite. Because not everyone has the luxury of popping in and out. Often times an actor leaves and the role is recast.

Saying goodbye to a favorite character/actor can be tough. And that’s exactly how we all felt when Dr. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) lost her daughter. Unlike many other soap opera deaths, sadly, Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is gone for good.

Moreover, Liesl didn’t stick around much after Britt died. She did what she had to do as Willow Tait Corinthos’s (Katelyn MacMullen) bone marrow donor and went on her way. Liesl had a few conversations with Scott (Kin Shriner) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) before she left Port Charles and since hasn’t been seen in months.

Sonny and Carly reconnect Sonny and Carly back together

Sonny and Carly reconnect! …Willow’s health is fading. Given the sensitivity of the situation, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) doesn’t need any added stress. Scott and Liesl breakup Liesl slaps Elizabeth

Scott and Liesl breakup!

“The truth will set you free, “ -John 8:32. Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) confessed to her role in aiding Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) in his crimes against a pregnant woman. In good conscience, Elizabeth implicated herself by admitting that she helped Nikolas Cassadine keep Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) prisoner.

Ironically, the thought that coming forward with the truth will set you free is virtuous and cleansing although damning to one’s reputation. Furthermore, admitting involvement in activity that caused a series of unfortunate events has its consequences. For Elizabeth, the guilt of it all weighs on her even though she’s free and clear where the law is concerned. However, just because she won’t experience legal ramifications doesn’t mean she’s off the hook.

General Hospital recaps recall Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) takes her aggressions out on Elizabeth. The slap has GH fans hyped on debating whether or not Liesl is justified in slapping Liz. Until now, Liesl had no knowledge of Elizabeth’s contribution to Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) death.

Dr. Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) character has come a long way since she arrived on the scene as the most dreaded woman. What she had done to Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) as a way to get back at her mother, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), was considerably unredeemable.

General Hospital recaps explain how Liesl had Robin captive while making it look as though she had died in a lab fire at GH. Robin’s mother Anna, her husband, Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson), and daugter Emma Drake (Brooklyn Silzer), along with Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and many other loved ones mourned her alleged death for years.

It’s safe to say that Dr. Obrecht has turned a new leaf.
