Brooklyn Rae Silzer and Braedyn Bruner GH’s Emma Drake
General Hospital Recasts Emma Drake! …Decisions, decisions! Sudden changes around Port Charles seems to have concurrently flooded the set of General Hospital. First, GH fans were taken aback when their favorite characters displayed a personality adjustment. Actually, it’s more like some have done a complete 180° when it comes to their personalities. But what’s worse is that more and actors are being replaced entirely.
General Hospital news and spoilers reveal that storylines will continue to go astray as PC residents make unexpected moves. Lately, GH fans have noticed that Port Charles has turned into the upside down. That’s where the people of Port Charles experience somewhat of a parallel universe. The new dimension is eerily similar but things are askew. Our favorite characters act well, out of character, and even the expected faces we see in our favorite roles have gone haywire.
According to recent General Hospital news and spoilers, the ABC Daytime Drama shocks fans with an unexpected recast. General Hospital recasts Emma Drake, and replaces Brooklyn Rae Silzer. On December 23rd, Braedyn Bruner debuted as Emma Drake.
Reportedly, Brooklyn Rae Silzer’s time as Emma Drake is over. The actress debuted as little Emma Drake 13 years ago. In 2011, Silzer stole GH fan’s hearts as the adored daughter of two iconic GH characters. Dr. Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) and Dr. Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) welcomed Emma in November of 2008.
General Hospital is full of youthful talent. Over the years, child actors have gotten their start at fame on ABC’s longest running television drama. The 61 year old Soap Opera showcases these children’s acting skills with the potential to grow along with the show, or build their skills and talents then move onto other projects. Either way, child actors can ultimately become major characters as they get older.
The Iconic SORAS
However, not all child soap stars are so lucky. In fact, it’s very common for a daytime drama to play around with the ages of these characters. The daytime community and its audience likes to call this action, SORAS. Which stands for Soap Opera Rapid Age Syndrome. Therefore, one day little Bobbie Sue could be a 2 year old, then before you know it the child is miraculously a 15 year old attending PC High. While no Bobbie Sue actually resides in Port Charles, you can get my drift.
As for Emma Drake, General Hospital has stayed relatively true to the character’s actual age until recently. Still, Emma has not been SORASed with a recast with Silzer in the role. GH recaps recall that Emma Drake was born on November 4th, 2008, which makes her 15. I remember this vividly as I was pregnant at the same time as Kimberly McCullough’s character, Robin Scorpio Drake. Coincidentally, my daughter was born on October 17th, 2008, just before Robin gave birth to Emma. Unlike Emma, my daughter Lola is 15. Although they were born in the same year, Emma is meant to be about 22 years old at this time.
According to General Hospital news, Emma’s original birthday was changed from 2008 to 2006. Then it was revised again to 2005 and finally settled at 2002. In real life, GH news reports confirm that Emma’s portrayer Brooklyn Silzer was born on April 27th, 2006. Evidently, Silzer is approaching her 18th birthday!
Almost 18- GH’s Brooklyn Silzer Crowned Prom Queen- Living The American Teen Dream
According to General Hospital news and spoilers, Brooklyn Silzer’s life seems as sweet as it gets for an American teen. The General Hospital star is just shy of her 18th birthday and has even more to celebrate. Silzer’s recent Instagram post reveals exciting news about her personal life. Reportedly, Brooklyn Rae Silzer shared photos with friends as she lives her day to day teenage life. She’s living the American teen dream after being crowned Prom Queen!
What a surprise! Real ones know exactly how to bring a friend out of a funk, even if it’s temporary. Thanks to Robert, Anna was reminded of all that she’s thankful for. So, is Emma Drake back in Port Charles temporarily to brighten Anna’s Thanksgiving, or is she here to stay?
There’s no doubt that Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) is a true friend. Even more than that he is loyal and authentic. He’s there for Anna in good times and in bad, and he’d never betray her trust. On the other hand, Valentin Cassadine claims to love Anna but doesn’t think twice about compromising her well-being to suit his needs.
General Hospital recaps highlight the recent events that lead to Anna’s less-than holiday spirit. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has been down in the dumps after she accidentally shot Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez). Since Anna’s melancholia set in, she planned to spend Thanksgiving alone. Well, Robert couldn’t bear to see the mother of his child sulk in the dark, alone. So instead he took action and did what he could to cheer her up. Now that’s a friend.
General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Emma Drake and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) return and get swept away by romance. However, GH news has yet to confirm any rumors that claim Lipton’s returns GH. Additionally, Brooklyn Silzer is back, but the question is how long.
GH spoilers and news reports reveal Brooklyn Silzer’s statement regarding her GH status. Recently, Silzer spoke with Soap Opera Digest regarding her GH return. “My mom told me I was jumping for joy,” She admitted. GH spoilers reveal that Brooklyn Silzer also disclosed the duration of her time at the Daytime Emmy winning drama. “I was so excited to be back and see everyone! I was there for two days, and I was so glad I got to spend a little extra time with some of my favorite people, like [on-screen grandparents] Finola [Hughes, Anna] and Tristan [Rogers, Robert].”
Sadly, it looks like the all grown up Emma Drake was only here to brighten her grandparent’s holiday.
Reportedly, the 17 year old has been applying to nursing school. “I’m pretty busy with school,” Silzer explained. “I’ve been applying for nursing school. That takes up most of my time. I’m taking pretty hard classes this year, but I’m hoping to stay local for college, maybe I can come visit General Hospital more often. That would be really cool.” It’s kind of an ironic career choice she and admits that her time on General Hospital “definitely inspired” her career path. She continued to divulge her reasoning, “ever since I started, I’ve known I wanted to be a nurse, I think since I was six years old. I always said, ‘I want to be a nurse when I grow up,’ and it just stayed with me, and I’ve become more inspired as I’ve been doing volunteer work throughout my high school years.”
General Hospital news and spoilers report that Silzer conformed that she’s all about visiting GH more often. It’s obvious that her experience as Robin and Patrick Scorpio-Drake’s daughter has been a positive light her life, along with her GH family.
It’s never a dull moment in Port Charles, but excitement at this level should come with a warning! If you think that your family has holiday drama, then you need to take a seat and watch the Quartermaine family do Thanksgiving. As a General Hospital fan it’s just one of those things. If you know you know.
General Hospital Thanksgiving 2023
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Port Charles is right on track with the typical holiday season hijinks. The Quartermaine’s do not disappoint when they come together in celebration of the holiday. Despite the bickering, blackmail, and betrayal, the wild bunch is full of love for one another.
This year, the Q mansion has a little added spice to go around at this year’s Thanksgiving meal. Now that Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) is in town, the family has additional added Bensonhurst flare!
Previously, GH Blog shared the latest Thanksgiving spoilers. Robert came through for Anna in a big way! Brooklyn Silzer’s GH return took fans by surprise when Robert presented her to her grandmother. She’s just what Anna needs during this difficult time.
GH spoilers tease that there’s much more where today’s thrills came from! You won’t want to miss a beat when it comes to Thanksgiving in Port Charles!
Earlier this year Cameron Webber (William Lipton) for his heart broke when his childhood crush turned into his first real relationship. He and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) seemed perfect for each other. But sadly, appearances fade in time, and the true nature of the relationship is exposed.
GH Recaps: Although Joss and Cam’s relationship developed over time and through their friendship, they ended up growing apart romantically. Cameron went off to college on a soccer scholarship after Josslyn broke up with him for Dex Heller (Evan Hofer).
According to General Hospital news reports, William Lipton continues to make music in his band called The Runarounds. His project with Lighthouse Films has him starring in a series called, The Untitled Band Project. Webber’s status with the daytime drama is in question due to his successes outside of General Hospital. Reportedly, Lipton’s last appearance as Cameron Webber was on March 30th, 2023. Although he exited the role, GH news and spoilers clearly alluded to a future return. This Summer, General hospital spoilers and rumors teased that Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) son would return for the Summer. Now the Summer has came and went, and there was no sign of Lipton.
Fast forward a few more months and GH rumors claim that Cameron returns to Port Charles for the holidays. And the twist, he’s not the one who is broken-hearted. According to recent GH fan theories, Cam returns home with a new girlfriend, and Joss can’t handle it.
Do you think that Cameron’s new girlfriend is indeed is someone from Joss and Cam’s past?
Is William Lipton leaving GH? Sometimes, after a painful breakup, a fresh start is necessary to move on. Though, it’s tough at times to travel the same roads as when we were in love.
Breaking Up Is Hard To Do
It wasn’t long ago when two best friends realized they had secretly been crushing on one another. Josslyn jacks (Eden, McCoy) and Cameron Webber built their relationship and friendship and mutual trust. Seemingly, the young lovers had what it takes for the long haul. But, it’s not uncommon for young lovers to grow apart. Sadly, it’s most devastating when one partner outgrows the other. And that’s exactly what happened between Joss and Cam.
Aside from playing Cameron Webber, Lipton’s music career is hitting new heights. The Runarounds members, GH’s William Lipton, Jeremy Yun, Axel Ellis, Zendé, and Jesse Golliher displayed their musical talents at General Hospital this past September.
Is William Lipton Leaving GH?
In addition, The Runarounds played a special performance on the hit Netflix series, Outer Banks. Due to his increasing success with the band, as well as Cameron playing soccer at Stanford, GH fans speculate that William’s GH exit is near.
Did his break up with Josslyn run Cameron out of town? Or, will an old friend move back to Port Charles and give Cam an reason to stay? Rumor has it that GH fans hope to see Brooklyn Silzer return to reprise her role as Emma Drake.
Although General Hospital news reports have not yet confirmed Lipton’s upcoming exit, fans question his status as Cameron.
Dr. Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) character has come a long way since she arrived on the scene as the most dreaded woman. What she had done to Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) as a way to get back at her mother, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), was considerably unredeemable.
General Hospital recaps explain how Liesl had Robin captive while making it look as though she had died in a lab fire at GH. Robin’s mother Anna, her husband, Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson), and daugter Emma Drake (Brooklyn Silzer), along with Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and many other loved ones mourned her alleged death for years.
It’s safe to say that Dr. Obrecht has turned a new leaf. Although far from squeaky clean, Obrecht is now a contributing citizen as she works as a Doctor at GH, and has a loving bond with her daughter, Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), along with boyfriend Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner), Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), and more.
General Hospital news and spoilers reveal Gati joined the cast of General Hospital on July 31, 2012. General Hospital spoilers reveal she has shared a photo and related caption to her Instagram account, announcing her 10 year anniversary with the almost 60 year old soap opera.
In Kathleen’s Instagram caption below, she thanks Executive Producer, Frank Valentini, Mark Teschner, and all e cast and crew for, “ten years of love and kindness.”
We are so happy Kathleen has been a part of General Hospital for a decade, making Port Charles a lot more colorful. She is an amazing woman on and off screen! We at General Hospital Blog are proud to say, meeting Kathleen Gati was our absolute pleasure!
One of the most iconic Daytime TV children is history is General Hospital’s very own, Kimberly McCullough. McCullough joined the legendary cast of GH in 1985 at the age of 7. Kimberly is the only child star on General Hospital that hasn’t fallen victim to the dreaded SORAS, aka Soap Opera Rapid Age Syndrome. Her character, Robin Scorpio, has remained true in age since she made her debut in Port Charles.
Currently, Robin Scorpio is still a relevant name among the residents of Port Charles, as her mom, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), along with other family and friends still live in Port Charles and actively talk about Robin and Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson). Robin and Patrick have since moved on to California with their family to pursue their medical careers. However, Kimberly’s TV daughter, Emma Drake (Brooklyn Silzer), pops into Port Charles from time to time to visit her grandma.
General Hospital news reports have informed GH fans of Kimberly’s whereabouts regarding her career since departing GH. Kimberly has taken a different direction in Hollywood, focusing on Directing. McCullough has quite the credentials as a Director, with big TV show names such as, Pretty Little Liars, Shake It Up, Raven’s Home, The Conner’s, and more.
General Hospital news and spoilers report Kimberly McCullough state’s via Twitter how much she misses her General Hospital family. She goes on to credit the soap opera for giving her the relationships necessary to build a foundation for what her career has become today.
In all seriousness, I miss my @GeneralHospital family so much. My relationships there gave me the greatest foundation for what I’m doing now in life and in my career. Really special humans on that show https://t.co/YT9nR93OPu
General Hospital vet, Finola Hughes, who plays Anna Devane, has made an announcement regarding a new project.
General Hospital news reveals Finola Hughes has launched a new series with some of her General Hospital co-stars. As featured on Finola’s Instagram post, those co-stars include, Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix DuBois), Brooklyn Silzer (Emma Drake), Ian Buchanan (Duke slavery), among with Hughes herself.
Finola has revealed a short trailer for the very first episode of the new IGTB series, EnterExit. Take a look at the trailer below.
It’s always refreshing to see our favorite characters return to the canvas. We know that on soaps, it doesn’t matter how many times someone has been kidnapped and fed to mobsters, fallen into the water off the pier, burned in a lab, hotel fire, or car explosion, there is always room to come back.
Little Emma Drake left Port Charles when her parents, Robin and Patrick moved to California to practice medicine. The actress, Brooklyn Rae Silzer, posted on her personal Instagram account, announcing the return of Emma Drake to Port Charles. Brooklyn is back on set, however, the air date of her return has not yet been disclosed.
