Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) was hired as Avery Corinthos’s (Ava and Grace Scarola) nanny. That lasted for about 2.3 seconds before Ava told Sonny the deal and he set his trap. Betty was working for Pikeman to help take down Sonny and blackmail Ava Jerome (Maura West). But did we ever stop to think about why Betty was so willing to put herself in the position to be “eliminated” by Sonny Corinthos?
Ava Jerome isn’t winning any popularity contests in Port Charles. Although I bet she’d win when pinned up against Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). That woman has less friends than Regina George after her Burn Book was exposed. Trina is probably Ava’s most loyal supporter in life as Trina has never kidnapped or killed any of Ava’s children. She also never framed her for a murder or stalked her at any time. Despite Trina’s loyalty, I think it’s safe to say that Ava has more enemies than friends.
General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Ava’s been framed! They’ve run through the obvious suspects and it looks like Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is already out of the runnings. Still, many GH fans believe that Nikolas Cassadine killed Austin Holt (Roger Howarth), framing Ava for the murder. But, what if it wasn’t Nikolas?
Last year, GH Blog shared a shocking hint to the Esme, Ryan, Heather Webber triangle. It just so happens that it’s not a triangle at all. Instead, it’s a square. According to General Hospital recaps, Heather and Ryan had a discussion in late December of 2022. In that discussion Heather revealed that there was not one but two in a cryptic remark to her once beloved.
GH spoilers and rumors tease that Betty and Esme are twins and that Betty helped take Sonny and Ava down to avenge Ryan and Esme. True, Esme isn’t dead in the physical sense. But like Taylor Swift song, for Esme it’s more like, “I’m sorry, the old Esme can’t come to the phone right now. Why? Oh, ’cause she’s dead!” Betty’s twin as she knew her is long gone and has been replaced with this white picket fence-fantasizing soccer mom. As for Ryan, well he’s as dead as a doornail and Betty isn’t happy about that either. She blames Ava for all of it. So why not frame her for murder?
Nikolas Cassadine has his share of reasons to stay far, far away from Port Charles. First, his relationship with his son Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) was rocky ever since Nikolas faked his death. It’s understandable that Spencer felt abandoned, and distances himself from his father. Emotionally, the two were further apart than ever. Spencer was back from boarding school and living at Wyndemere, distance separated father and son.
Nikolas had other problems in his life but they all stemmed from the same issue. It was a vicious cycle back when Spencer and Esme both had it out for Nikolas and Ava. As a result, Spencer’s resentment towards his dad and step mom helped fuel Esme’s agenda. Additionally, Spencer unknowingly fed into Esme’s trap which helped lead Ava and Nikolas astray from each other. It was the straw the broke the camel’s back for Spencer.
Nikolas Killed Austin Over Ava?!
Once Esme seduced Nikolas and she became pregnant, time eventually did its job. It was only a matter of time that Spencer found out about how his father Nikolas slept with Esme. At this point Spencer had been betrayed by Nikolas enough. And on top of that, he found out who is girlfriend really was.
Ava Jerome (Maura West) was roped into the middle of it all between Nikolas and Spencer. But Ryan’s fixation on Ava fueled Esme’s entire plot, resulting in Ava’s marriage to Nikolas. According to General Hospital spoilers, Nikolas gets his revenge! The last time that he saw Ava was the night she thought she killed him. Until recently, Ava assumed that he was dead. Thanks to Austin, Ava was able to hide Nikolas’s body, or so she thought. That’s when one thing lead to another and Ava ended up sleeping with Austin. Now, Nikolas wants revenge.
GH spoilers and rumors tease that Nikolas killed Austin for revenge. He knows that Ava thought that she killed him, and the fact that she slept with Austin might be enough motive.
Esme discovers Spencer is Ace’s father!? …Did you doubt it? I know I didn’t because there’s almost always a twist. “What you see is what you get” is not really a thing in the soap opera world. In fact, typically, things are not as they seem. So, paternity twists, baby switches, fake test results, and DNA shockers, are not uncommon.
Over in Chechnya, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma/Adam Huss) is most likely held captive for some sinister plot that will eventually come crashing down. All the while his family, including the mother of his alleged child, believe he’s escaped fatherhood from both Spencer and Ace. However, his mother Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) is the one person whose instincts tell her otherwise.
Meanwhile, Ace’s (Jay and Joey Clay) mom, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), tries to co-parents with her son’s big brother, and her ex-boyfriend, Spencer. GH spoilers and rumors tease that Ace’s appointment with Dr. Austin Holt (Roger Howarth) leads to a shocking discovery. According to GH rumors, Esme discovers Spencer is Ace’s father, not Nikolas!
Laura protects Ace from Kevin! The well-being of Esme Prince’s newborn son is in question. As his mother faces sentencing, the alleged father is nowhere to be found.
General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that because of Esme’s predicament, Laura becomes Ace’s legal guardian. The new mother puts her trust in the baby’s grandmother to care for Ace and keep him safe. Seemingly, choosing Laura to be Ace’s legal guardian is the most responsible decision Esme could make in this situation. But, unsuspecting danger turns a safe choice into the worst possible scenario.
Initially, the goal is so that Ace’s mother and family can rest easy knowing that he’s in good hands. As GH recaps recall, Esme got wind of Spencer’s intended custody request. So, she took appropriate consideration in her son’s well-being. As a result, Esme believes that Laura is the best option for Ace.
However, according to recent General Hospital rumors and spoilers, Laura is thrown for a loop when Kevin begins acting peculiarly. Despite Esme’s safe choice, choosing Laura becomes a regret. No we’re not saying that Laura is the reason. Ace falls victim to unsuspecting danger. However, it is her husband Kevin, that will become the threat. A true nightmare, Kevin struggles with cognitive dissonance as conflicting ideas zip through his mind. Soon, Kevin takes on the thoughts and actions of his brother Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom). It then becomes imperative that Laura protects Ace from Kevin.
Laura becomes Ace’s legal guardian!? As they say, babies will change your life. It’s no secret that welcoming a baby into the home requires a lifelong commitment. Essentially, raising a baby into adulthood is the toughest job around.
General Hospital spoilers tease that the well-being of Esme’s baby is judged by self-serving adults who are out to settle a score. Ace’s mother brought him into the world with no recollection of who she was. Moreover, Esme doesn’t even remember her baby’s father. Apparently, a jump into ice cold water while pregnant will do that. After saving herself from imprisonment by her alleged baby’s father, Esme became a completely different person. But, just because her traumatic experiences erased her memory, they don’t erase her last crimes.
With Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma/Adam Huss) missing, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) thought he had his custody motion in the bag. As baby Ace’s big half brother, Spencer figured he’d be granted custody over Ace’s unfit/absent parents. However, Esme wants nothing to do with her ex-boyfriend raising her child. Her hands are ties as she awaits judgement day. Legally, it looks like Esme is able to bring baby Ace to Spring Ridge upon her time of sentencing. But, incarceration isn’t really an a life event a baby should experience.
Laura Becomes Ace’s Legal Guardian
General Hospital spoilers reveal that with that in mind, Esme displays impressive parenting. The new mother is willing to do what’s best for her baby. Therefore, Esme asks Laura to become Ace’s legal guardian while she serves her sentence in Pentonville.
Laura faces a big decision. Is she willing to juggle parenting all over again as well as her obligations as Mayor?
Baby Ace triggers Esme. …Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) gave birth to a baby boy. Young woman’s super sudsy soap opera birth is unconventional yet typical. Accordingly, Esme’s, her baby, and all who surround them lead the next front running storyline.
General Hospital recaps recall Elizabeth Webber’s (Rebecca Herbst) role in Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) devious game. As history tells it, the people of Port Charles recognize Elizabeth and Nikolas’s friendship for representing loyalty and strength. Always coming to each other’s rescue, Liz and Nik knew they could always depend on one another. And due to Elizabeth’s unwavering loyalty to Nikolas, she was roped in to help him keep Esmé captive. During that time, Nurse Webber tended to Esme’s prenatal needs.
Although the situation wasn’t exactly optimal, the prenatal care that Esme received from Elizabeth was genuine. After a few surprisingly effective discussions with her Nurse, Esme displayed a real bond with her unborn baby boy. As a result, the captured accused (of the hook killings) started calling the baby, “Ace.”
According to General Hospital spoilers, insight from a recent interview reveals that soon, all is forgiven for the boarding school seductress. Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson’s interview with Avery Pohl’s alluded to her character’s rebirth. It seems Esme’s amnesia is real by the way she so naturally reacts to Heather and Ryan’s lunacy. That being said, she remembers nothing about her past; now even her pregnancy as a prisoner in Wyndemere. However, recent General Hospital rumors speculate that perhaps baby Ace triggers his mom, sparking her memory. Perhaps she’ll instinctually call him, “Ace,” simply by admiring her newborn. unfortunately for Liz, if Esmé remembers calling her child ace, she just might remember everything.
Nikolas is alive?! After the intense showdown with Ava Jerome (Maura West), Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), and Mac Scorpio (John J. York), Ryan’s death provides mixed emotions. Undoubtedly, the death of a serial killer provides relief to all; especially Ava.
As General Hospital recaps recall, Ryan’s obsession with Ava had her looking over her shoulder for years. After all, he is the reason her marriage to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma/Adam Huss) is over. Now that he’s truly gone, she can rest assured that Ryan won’t harm her or anyone she loves again. But safety and peace of mind aren’t all why she’s particularly relieved. In a vulnerable state, Ava confessed to killing Nikolas to Ryan. Now that he’s gone, her secret stays safe between herself and Dr. Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth).
General Hospital spoilers indicate that Ava and Austin have unfinished business. The elephant in the room, on shall we say, the Cassadine in the closet, needs tending to. Earlier, Austin showed up at Wyndemere to help his new friend move Nikolas’s body. Then, their plans changed and suddenly Ava had a house full of chaos. In the midst of all the drama, Ava confessed to killing Nikolas. Thankfully, her secret died with Ryan.
Nikolas is Alive?!
General Hospital rumors hint that Ava might not be out of the woods. Although Ryan seems to be as dead as can be, someone other than Austin knows her secret. GH rumors speculate that her ex husband is missing from where she stashed him, and very much alive.
Now, she and Austin discover an empty closet where Nik’s body was placed. How mysterious! As a result, Ava will be looking over her shoulder fearing Nik’s tell-all return. Nikolas could expose Ava for attempted murder. However, things could be worse. On the bright side, if Nik is alive, she can’t go down for killing him. But, attempted murder isn’t off the table.
General Hospital news reports remain silent regarding the role of Nikolas Cassadine. Last played by Adam Huss, Nikolas has seemingly met his untimely death. His death stunned fans, leaving the audience in disbelief. Many GH rumors speculate a return as it’s almost unfathomable that the writers killed off a main character from a core family. However, it’s been done in the past; killing off multiple members the iconic Quartermaine family. As for the Cassadine family, Nikolas is the primary Cassadine in Port Charles and it simply wouldn’t be the same without him.
Esme saves Josslyn from hook killer?! Esme’s plan to escape captivity from Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) was her only shot at freedom. Starting a fire is a huge she was willing to take in these desperate times. Things didn’t go exactly as she planned, but, she was gutsy enough to take another major risk.
General Hospital recaps recall Esme’s shocking free fall. She found herself in a place of uneasy familiarity in her efforts to outrun the fire. Suddenly, she was right back where Ava Jerome (Maura West) last saw her. Nikolas was close behind after putting out the fire.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Esme’s instincts told her to take the plunge off the parapet, even though her circumstances are different from the last time. This time, Esme consciously throws herself over the ledge. Her options were limited as she either succumbs to Nikolas’s pleas; or risks killings herself and the baby inside her. She reacted the best way she saw fit in her desponding moments.
General Hospital spoilers tease a wave of bewilderment swoops over Nikolas when he gets word that Esme has nine lives. Esme is many things; a fighter being one of them. While GH rumors hint that what she isn’t is the hook killer. Some GH rumors were driven from fan speculation about what happens when she gets out of the water. Will her baby survive?
Esme’s off the hook after she saves Josslyn?!
General Hospital previews spark the latest GH rumors and wild speculation surrounding Josslyn Jack’s (Eden McCoy) fate. The hook wants to finish what (s)he started. In their first attempt to victimize Joss the hook killer took out an unintended target. You know what they say, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Brando lost his life because he saw too much. Nevertheless, the killer plans to fulfill their goal. Josslyn comes face to mask with the hook killer. She needs her survival skill instincts now more than ever. But, will that be enough?
Redeemed and Off the Hook
Josslyn and Esme are more alike than they want to believe. Both are fighters, and their will to survive kicks in whenever danger is imminent. Like Joss, Esme is also facing a life or death situation. General Hospital rumors suggest Esme survives the plunge of the parapet and manages to emerge from the Winter cold waters.
Here’s where things get interesting. GH rumors tease Josslyn escapes death by the hook killer for a second time and she has Esme to thank for that. It’s possible that when the hook is ready to sink its barbed curve into Joss, Esme miraculously swims to the pier. GH spoilers and rumors claim Esme saves Josslyn when she arrives in the nick of time. Now that Joss sees first hand that Esme and the hook killer are present at the same time, it’s apparent they pegged the wrong girl. Esme is off the hook as the prime suspect in the recent hook killings. It can’t possibly be her if Josslyn lives to tell how she was approached by the killer when a pregnant Esme made it to the pier.
Nikolas fakes his death! By now almost each and every General Hospital fan knows the situation with Marcus Coloma. Coloma’s three-year contract is the almost 60 year old soap opera came to an end. Well, many actors negotiate a new contract to remain in their current role. General Hospital news reports confirms that is not the case with Marcus.
General Hospital comings and goings news reveals Marcus will exit as Nikolas Cassadine by the end of January. Previously, General Hospital spoilers revealed a controversial debate surrounding the reason he did not fulfill his last obligations.
General Hospital recaps recall Tyler Christopher left the role of Nikolas Cassadine in 2016 Nicolas faked his death and left his young son, Spencer Cassadine, without a father. Three years later, it was revealed that Nikolas was alive and faked his death in 2016. At that time, Marcus Coloma took over the role of Nikolas from Tyler Christopher.
GH news reports confirm Coloma will exit before the end of January. That being said, the current storyline is leading up to his departure. General Hospital rumors hint Nikolas purposely leaves Spencer fatherless yet again. When Esme sets her tower on fire, the opportunity presents itself and Nikolas does what he has to do. What if Nikolas fakes his death, making it look as though he perished in the fire?
General Hospital news reports have yet to conform whether Nikolas will die or if the role will be recast. Having Nikolas fake his death leaves the door open for the latter.
Esme escapes from Wyndemere- Esme sets fire to her Wyndemere tower but freedom comes with a price. Just how solid is Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) plan to set herself and baby Ace free?
Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) went from Wyndemere to the Haunted Star. Back at Wyndemere, she fulfilled her duty of Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) hired nurse, aka accomplice in keeping Esme prisoner. Elizabeth’s nursing efforts provide prenatal care for the baby Esme claims is Nikolas’s. Elsewhere, the guest list for Britt Westbourne’s birthday party include some of the General Hospital staff along with Britt closest companions. Of course, that means Liz’s ex, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) is present. After she was approached by her bestie Dr. Terri Randolph (Cassandra James), Liz furtively floated along the dance floor, slamming a shot under pressure.
Finn saw her take that shot while believing his ex girlfriend is pregnant with Nikolas’s baby. How will she explain her actions? Well, she may not have to. General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease the secrets Liz is keeping are about to reveal themselves. Meanwhile, back at Wyndemere, Esme plans her great escape. GH spoilers Esme escapes Wyndemere after she uses a match that she slipped into her possession after manipulating Dimitrius.
General Hospital previews indicate Britt’s party is just getting started. Britt kicked off her night with an incredible karaoke display with her bestie Brad Cooper (Parry Shen). Cheers and shouts filled the room as partygoers celebrated Britt on this New Year’s Eve.
General Hospital rumors claim the guests cheers and shouts will soon be replaced with blood curdling screams. The hook killer makes their way to the Haunted Star where one unfortunate partygoer will become the hooks latest victim.
Freedom Comes With A Price
Meanwhile, Esme’s escape along with the hook killer’s emergence take place synchronously. The pregnant prisoner is already the number one suspect according to the PCPD and some uninformed Port Charles residents. GH rumors speculate Esme’s freedom is short lived when the hook claims another victim and Esme is spotted. It could be assumed that she just attacked her latest victim and get brought into custody. However, Esme is noticeably pregnant. Therefore, it’s unlikely the accusations against the pregnant escape artist will stick. Meanwhile, the real hook killer remains at large.
