Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is a wanted man (no pun intended). He disappeared in November of 2021 when a cave collapsed on Cassadine Island. His miraculous return has raised questions about whether or not Jason is on Sonny’s side or not. Is he a bad guy? A good guy? Or is Jason’s situation even more complex than we’ve all imagined?
Agent Cates (Adam Harrington) is out for blood, and he’s fixated on Jason Morgan. GH recaps recall John Cate’s first few encounters with Port Charles residents. Particularly, his engagements with Carly Spencer Corinthos (Laura Wright). Soon enough Carly suspected why he kept coming around. Jason and Dex
At first, Cates was deceptive and misled Carly about his indentity. Then shortly after, GH spoilers and rumors hinted toward his involvement with the entire operation. Fast forward to present time and we know Brennan’s true identity. Agent John Jagger Cates is on a mission to end organized crime in Port Charles. Whatever Cates has going on with Jason also involves many others. For starters, Sonny Corinthos. But now more people have been pulled in.
Thanks to Nina (Cynthia Watros), Josslyn (Eden McCoy) knows all about Dex’s plans to kill Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Of course, the orders to kill and not to kill came from none other than Sonny. But Joss wants nothing to do with Dex now that she’s aware of what he’s actually capable of, and willing to do.
GH previews indicate that Jason isn’t comfortable with how the situation has spiraled. Too many people have been roped in and Jason needs a solution. According to GH rumors, Jason and Dex turn themselves into the police. Like father, like son? Will Dex and Jason have the same idea when it comes to making business moves?
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is head over heels for Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). At first, they kept their relationship under wraps due to the nature of his business, and his connection to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
General Hospital recaps recall Josslyn’s apprehension about her feelings for Dex. Growing up, Josslyn’s mom Carly was in love with a mobster. She spent almost her entire adolescence as Sonny Corinthos’s stepdaughter. So, one would think that Joss would be all too familiar with the lifestyle.
As we know, Sonny and Nina’s relationship caused a rift between Sonny, Carly, their son Michael, and her daughter Joss. Ever since he left Carly for Nina, Josslyn’s outlook on Sonny is much different than when she was younger. Still, she can’t help who she felt for and that he works for Corinthos. But what she can do is stand by him, worry about him, and hope he leaves that mobster life.
According to General Hospital spoilers, Josslyn foreshadows Jason and Dex’s fate when she continues to make comparisons between her boyfriend and her mother’s best friend. Ironically, they both happen to be Sonny’s right hand man. Joss points out that Dex is a lot like Jason. They’re both totally loyal, they risk it all for Sonny, and they’d never leave a good man for dead.
Agent John Jagger Cates (Adam Harrington) popped back into Port Charles out of the clear blue sky. One minute John “Brennan” was sniffing around Bobbie’s (formerly known as Kelly’s), then the next he whipped out his FBI badge and began flashing is all over PC.

Sonny wants to know who decks is protecting not physically, but who he’s protecting with his word. The answer is Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Who do you know that is loyal to Carly above anyone else? Yes, you got that right. It’s Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Jason Morgan was loyal to Carly above all else. Most times even Sonny came second to Jason’s BFF unless it was about his business.
Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) shows his loyalty to Sonny Corinthos time and time again. At this point there’s nothing that he can do to stop what happens next.

While it’s true that Dex has only good intentions, that surely wasn’t the case at first. Clearly, Nina’s motives were strictly vindictive. On the contrary, others in Port Charles use deception in the name of protection. But that still doesn’t excuse the lie. It’s a whole complicated web of actions and intentions, and the Corinthos family is in the thick of it.
