John J York’s first appearancesince cancer treatment
Mac Scorpio could hush the loudest of critics with his simple presence. As it turns out, his portrayer, John J. York has the same superpower. Despite all the shade that’s often thrown at characters, actors, writers, etc., York and Scorpio remain among the fan favorites. Truthfully, I’ve yet to hear or read a negative comment from GH fans about Mac or the man who plays him, John J. York.
Back in September, York announced that he was going on hiatus from ABC’s General Hospital. Since then he’s revealed his health diagnosis, and an explanation for his hiatus. Sadly, John J. York’s health diagnosis and treatment required him to take a step back from his role as Mac Scorpio on General Hospital. Fast forward about six months, with some updates in between (see article below), GH news reports confirm that York is ready for his first public appearance.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that York reached out to fans via X (formerly known as Twitter), to make a special announcement. Reportedly, John J. York revealed that he’s making his first public appearance since his cancer treatment. The post informs GH fans of an upcoming event. York and his costar leading lady Kristina Wagner reunite for a GH Fan event via zoom. The event takes place on July 14th, and instructions to purchase tickets can be found in York’s X post below.
We surely hope that this means that the beloved General Hospital Vet’s recovery is heading in the right direction. we continue to keep John J. York in our thoughts and prayers, and we cannot wait to see Mac on screen again!
Just as it seemed that Felicia (Kristina Wagner) got through to her daughter, Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) fears became validated again. She admitted to her mother that her fear of losing Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) is what holds her back from a relationship with him.
According to General Hospital recaps, it took some time but Felicia and Maxie’s heart-to-heart resonated with Maxie. Maxie’s anger covered up her true fear of facing her feelings for Spinelli. Then, Felicia calmly explained other points of view, and that’s when Maxie began to go soft.
General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that a strong moment came over her and she acquired the courage to call Spinelli. She’s so afraid of losing him in any way. Whether it’s a catastrophic fallout or fate stepping in to tear them apart by tragedy, Maxi doesn’t want to lose.
Spinelli’s Caught In A Mob War
General Hospital Spoilers tease that Maxie lets her guard down just as Spinelli takes a risk for organized crime. In the past, Spinelli helped Sonny Corinthos out of respect for his best friend Jason Morgan . But since Jason‘s been gone, Spinelli never had a reason to work with Sonny. Recently, all that changed when Sonny asked Spinelli for his services.
Unfortunately, GH rumors claim that letting her guard down leads Maxie to a let down. Maxie fears for Spinelli’s life when she almost loses him to mob violence. Ironically his best friend and the man who always had his back could be the man to threaten his life.
Is Spinelli caught in a mob war between Jason aka STONE Cold and Sonny?
What’s that phrase, “see something, say something,”? Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) isn’t the type to keep quiet in a library let alone a crisis. Anytime she smells bullshit Maxie calls it out as it’s not her M.O. to let things slide. A girl after my own heart.
GH recaps recall that Sasha has already warned Cody that Felicia is on his tail. Time is running out before his family knows the truth. Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) trusted only a few close friends with his secret, and thus far thrive kept their work to him. For the most part, the fact that Cody is Max Scorpio son remains privileged knowledge among very few. According to General Hospital spoilers, Cody can’t get this one past the skillful Felicia Jones (Kristina Wagner).
Moreover, Maxie senses something is a skew when talking to Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). It’s become apparent that things between Sasha and Cody are a little strange not necessarily in a bad way, but something has shifted and Maxie has noticed the change. GH previews indicate that Maxie grills Sasha about Cody. Can Sasha navigate around Maxie’s 20 questions, or will she spill the tea on his paternity OR her feelings for Cody?!
Back in September, General Hospital’s John J. York revealed some devastating news regarding his health. He confirmed a life threatening diagnoses and currently receives treatment for the illness.
General Hospital news reports confirm that John J York’s health status is going in a positive direction. In a recent social media post, John shared a video updating fans on his progress. He was very optimistic however, also mentioned that he still has a long road ahead.
John J York Shares Health Update
General Hospital fans are rooting for John as they send prayers, hugs, vibes, and all the support you can possibly think of to him and his family. Please keep John in your thoughts abs prayers as he battles through the rest of his treatments. Be sure to check out his video in the post below.
All of her life, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) has remained very close to her family. Over the years Maxie and the rest of the Scorpio-Jones families continue to love and support each other. They’ve been through the best of times and the worst of times, and they go along for the ride.
Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) would be so lucky to be apart of the wholesomeness that has become the Scorpios and the Joneses. From Mac and Felicia, to Robert, Robin, and Anna, and then some, Maxie always has a family support system. Maxie and Robin were always close growing up. Robin Scorpio Drake (Kimberly McCullough) and her husband Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) moved to California with their kids Emma and Noah. But that doesn’t release them from active family duty. Ultimately, Maxie’s family knows that they can count on each other.
Meanwhile, Cody is on the outside looking in as he longs for the family that’s just out of reach. Cody pines for what could have been, but he only has himself to blame at this point. As it turns out Cody actually is that lucky. GH recaps recall the DNA test that proved that Mac Scorpio (John J. York) was in fact Cody’s biological father. However, Cody lied about the test and said they weren’t a match. Now, Mac and the rest of his newfound family remain in the dark. And the only ones who know the truth are Dante, Sam, and Sasha.
According to General Hospital spoilers Cody’s secret will soon be known to all and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) is the one to make the discovery. Apparently, her new position at General Hospital paves the pay to uncovering the truth about Cody Bell. How will she approach the situation?
Yesterday, General Hospital star John J. York began his stem cell transplant treatment. The 100 day process begins with 8 days of “heavy chemo.” Reportedly, York explained the risks that go along with the transplant and chemo. In the post below, General Hospital Blog shared details of John’s interview with the news outlet, TV Insider. The full article can be read by clicking on the box below, the link ⬆️.
Today is a new day/week, with new hope for the future. General Hospital news reports reveal that today is also John J. York’s first week of treatment.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that York’s long time co-star and friend, Kristina Wagner reached out to fans via X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. She shared a photo of John with his medical team as all three share the brightest smiles. Below you will find Wagner’s post with the photo including Dr. Kassim, and Medical Practitioner, Anne.
According to Wagner, the chemo portion stats this week while the transplant begins on November 17th. Please keep John, his medical team, his family and supporters in your thoughts and prayers.
@JohnJYork with his medical team, Dr. Kassim, and medical practitioner, Anne. Chemo starts this week. The transplant is scheduled for the 17th. 🙏 pic.twitter.com/x1mtleDXCb
Despite the smiles, York knows the risks that come along with everything from the illness to the treatment itself. “I’ll probably lose my hair, and that’s OK,” he told the outlet. “And, you know, there’s just all kinds of issues. I could, I could pass away. I mean, maybe not from the chemo, but when the transplant starts.”
Felicia Jones (Kristina Wagner) has chosen Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) as her guide. Not long ago, Felicia made a decision to embark on a new life journey. She reflected on her life’s accomplishments, shortcomings, and even some regrets. That’s when she entertained the idea to shadow Stella over at General Hospital.
Recent General Hospital spoilers indicate that Felicia is read for a new kind of fulfillment, and she seeks it out in social work. Becoming a patient advocate is important her next step toward a different lifestyle. Since she can remember, Felicia has known herself to be an adventurer and a thrill seeker through her work as a WSB agent.
Before becoming a grandmother to Maxie’s three children Felicia lived a risky life. Consequently, many of her spy missions kept her from her family. Maxie and her children are Felicia and Mac Scorpio’s (John J. York) world. She’s happy help Maxie whenever she she’s in need. Of course, spending time with family is very important to Felicia. But now she has found another important outlet through her new job at the hospital.
According to the latest GH rumors, Felicia’s new direction is a nice change. And while her intentions are in the right place, this position as a patient advocate might not cut it for a someone like Felicia. That is, unless one of the patient’s that Felicia is assigned to leads her to another mission. Or something along those lines.
GH spoilers tease that although Felicia’s new job at GH as a patient advocate starts out slow and seemingly uneventful, (in the sense that she isn’t out saving Port Charles from disaster), something makes her feel right at home. Certainly, Stella and Felicia’s job at the hospital isn’t something to overlook. Helping patients connect with their doctor and to understand their condition is an essential part of medical care.
However, many GH spoilers and rumors tease that when something big arises, Felicia also rises to the occasion. Apparently Felicia is just the person this patient needs.
Felicia Jones (Kristina Wagner) is ready for a change. Clearly, leads a fulfilling life in Port Charles. Despite the good ole days of WSB adventures, romantic entanglements, and rescue missions, Felicia longs for something more. Or, maybe it’s not more that she hopes to find. Perhaps she seeks something different.
Aside from her impressive career wrap sheet, Felicia has been reflecting on her family life. While there will always be some other adventure to catch, Felicia and Mac’s grandkids only grow up once in a lifetime. The day to day has Felicia grateful for her impressive career, her children and grandchildren, and of course, Mac. Two major life events had a strong impact on Felicia’s at of life. Sadly, Felicia missed much of her daughter’s lives and wasn’t present for their most precious moments. And how she feels about what happened to Georgie never seems to ease up.
Moreover, Felicia and Mac Scorpio (John J. York) previously mentioned that they don’t have kids together. Although he considers Maxie, Georgie, and Robin as his own, the fact remains that Mac doesn’t know that he has a biological child and that it’s Cody Bell (Josh Kelly). Grandparenthood comes so naturally to them both… as of becoming grandparents was their destiny.
According to General Hospital spoilers, Felicia finds fulfillment in working as a Patient Advocate at General Hospital. As a result of her new career path, Felicia is able to connect with patients while advocating on their behalf. Needless to say, but it’s understandable that someone in that position is likely to develop deep friendships and bonds. Oddly, GH rumors hint that the former WSB Agent, Felicia Jones Scorpio, gets to know Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and her son Ace (Jay and Joey Clay) when he’s brought to the hospital with a medical issue.
Previously, GH rumors claimed that Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Linstrom) and Heather Webber are not actually Esme’s biological parents. Instead, many GH fans believe that Esme was mostly likely kidnapped by Ryan, Heather, or both at some point. Put that together with Soap Opera logic and math that isn’t mathing (most will understand the joke), and we just might have a story about Esme’s REAL biological parents.
Will Felicia’s new career path lead her and Mac down an unexpected road? It’s only natural that Felicia would connect with Esme and Ace if she’s assigned as his Patient Advocate. After all, the instinctive bond between a mother and her children/grandchildren is undeniable.
Are Felicia and Mac Esme’s biological parents?? As for Mac, will he learn that he has not one child, but two?!
Is Mac Scorpio leaving GH? John J. York explains… So much excitement and drama surrounds the people of Port Charles. On a typical day, one might discover their long lost daughter, another might betray a lover they’ve sought out for years only, some could fall victim of a baby napping, and various other traumatic life events.
When it comes to the vet actors, their characters have been through the wringer for years and years. Thankfully, characters like Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and his wife Felicia Jones (Kristina Wagner) have stuck around to endure it all of these years!
Currently, Mac Scorpio has a potentially prominent storyline. Cody Bell waltzed into Mac’s life and everything is about to change. After GH spoilers revealed that Cody is Mac’s son, fans have been waiting for that story to unfold. However, recent GH news reports share an update on York’s GH status. John toon to Twitter/X to address fans about his recent status change with the 60 year old daytime drama.
In his announcement York explains that he’ll be on a few week long hiatus. As a result, Mac Scorpio keeps things low key. Additionally, the actor explained that he will be away from the scene for a bit. His tweet can be read below.
Have no fear, we won’t leave you in the dark about Mac and neither will John. Make sure to follow General Hospital Blog on Facebook and check back for updates on the GH cast!
Walt Willey returns to GH! Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and Felicia Jones’s (Kristina Wagner) excursion got them into some hot water. When it comes to the endgame, hot or cold water, it doesn’t matter to Lucy as long as she gets what she needs. Not to mention, rubbing elbows with Pine Valley’s hotshot Attorney, Jackson Montgomery isn’t so bad.
General Hospital recaps recall Jackson Montgomery’s role as Martin Gray’s (Michael E. Knight) divorce lawyer. Lucy’s suspicions about her man got the best of her, and she recruited her pal Felicia to help. First, two extensively experienced gal pals headed out to Pine Valley. There they made a juicy discovery, as well as got themselves into some trouble. That’s when Felicia had to make an awkward phone call. Still, Martin remains unaware that Lucy’s digging into his personal affairs. Let’s just say that Lucy’s trip to see Jackson Montgomery as wasn’t a total waste of time.
Meanwhile, Lucy worries about her future with Marty. At this point in their relationship, she’s dealing with the fact that he won’t marry her. And now that she knows why, they may not over come this. Will Mr. Montgomery step in?
Walt Willey Returns to GH
According to GH news and spoilers, Jackson Montgomery swoops back in. Daytime TV icon, Walt Willey confirmed that he will return to the GH canvas as All My Children’s Jackson Montgomery. What’s in store for Jackson? Will he pay Port Charles a visit, or will Lucy take another trip?
