General Hospital News and Spoilers: GH’s Brooklyn Silzer Dazzles In A Teen Dream Come True

*GH’s Brooklyn Silzer Crowned Prom Queen*

General Hospital is full of youthful talent. Over the years, child actors have gotten their start at fame on ABC’s longest running television drama. The 61 year old Soap Opera showcases these children’s acting skills with the potential to grow along with the show, or build their skills and talents then move onto other projects. Either way, child actors can ultimately become major characters as they get older.

The Iconic SORAS

However, not all child soap stars are so lucky. In fact, it’s very common for a daytime drama to play around with the ages of these characters. The daytime community and its audience likes to call this action, SORAS. Which stands for Soap Opera Rapid Age Syndrome. Therefore, one day little Bobbie Sue could be a 2 year old, then before you know it the child is miraculously a 15 year old attending PC High. While no Bobbie Sue actually resides in Port Charles, you can get my drift.

As for Emma Drake, General Hospital has stayed relatively true to the character’s actual age until recently. Still, Emma has not been SORASed with a recast with Silzer in the role. GH recaps recall that Emma Drake was born on November 4th, 2008, which makes her 15. I remember this vividly as I was pregnant at the same time as Kimberly McCullough’s character, Robin Scorpio Drake. Coincidentally, my daughter was born on October 17th, 2008, just before Robin gave birth to Emma. Unlike Emma, my daughter Lola is 15. Although they were born in the same year, Emma is meant to be about 22 years old at this time.

According to General Hospital news, Emma’s original birthday was changed from 2008 to 2006. Then it was revised again to 2005 and finally settled at 2002. In real life, GH news reports confirm that Emma’s portrayer Brooklyn Silzer was born on April 27th, 2006. Evidently, Silzer is approaching her 18th birthday!

General Hospital Spoilers: A Breakdown Of Clues Helps Piece Together Jason Morgan and Agent John Jagger Cate’s Story

Timing Is Everything

Hear me out. On January 4th, General Hospital announced Steve Burton’s long awaited return as Jason Morgan. Co-stars Steve Burton, Kelly Monaco, and Laura Wright surprised fans during GH’s 60th anniversary celebration in Prime Time. From that moment, GH fans couldn’t put down all the possibilities for Jason’s new storyline.

Jagger Isn’t Just Any Old FBI Agent- He Has Ties To Port Charles

Then, on February 6th, GH brings back an iconic character, John Jagger Cates. Adam Harrington debuts as Jagger. The role was previously played by Antonio Sabato Jr. While any old FBI Agent would do, GH decides to bring back a character with history. This storyline involving Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Anna Devane (Finola), Pikeman, and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), could have sufficed with a random Agent. Instead, they brought back someone who has ties to Port Charles. Specifically Jason Quartermaine/Morgan and Sonny Corinthos.

Jagger’s Got Beef Over Karen, And Jason Can’t Remember A Thing

GH recaps recall that Jagger recently disclosed that his beef isn’t with Jason Morgan. Nope. He admitted that his problem was with Jason Quartermaine, the man Morgan was before the accident. Oddly enough, Agent Cates, aka Jagger, incessantly name drops his and Jason Quartermaine’s ex, Karen Wexler (Cari Shayne). He can’t seem to get over the past.

Like Father, Like Son

Moreover, other clues lead to the latest GH rumors. Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) pointed out the similarities between her mom’s best friend Jason, and Dex, the man Joss loves. Dex and Jason were both loyal to Sonny, and even more loyal to Carly Spencer (Corinthos). They’re both honorable men whose skills come in handy when a life is at stake. Is it a coincidence that Jason and Dex both had a hand in saving Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) life? Like Jason, Dex puts his own life on the line like he has nothing to lose. When in reality, they both have a lot to lose.

Overall, the timing of both Jagger and Jason’s return raised questions among fans. The writers could have easily brought a new character to the canvas. Instead, GH chose to utilize a role that has connections to Sonny and Jason, and the rest of PC. In addition, Agent John Cates admitted that he still can’t stand Jason Quartermaine, the man Morgan used to be. Another clue is that Jason confessed that he cannot remember anything from his high school days due to injuries resulting from his and AJ’s (Sean Kanan) car accident.

Dear Old Dad, Scotty Baldwin

General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Jason and Karen had a teen pregnancy. Most likely, Karen hid her pregnancy from Jason and almost everyone in Port Charles. So, how did she pull it off? Well, GH rumors tease that none other than dear old dad helped Karen cover up her pregnancy. Or Karen had a baby, where is the child now? Who is Karen and Jason’s secret child? One possibility has caused major debate among fans. Based on the latest GH rumors, today we know him as Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). Ironically, it just so happens that speculation around Dex’s paternity has been a hot topic among GH fans. GH recaps highlight Dex’s family history. His background seems blurry at best. Previously, we learned that he doesn’t get along with his brother’s. And his overall home life led him to stray from the family. According to GH rumors, Dex was adopted.

All of these clues paired with the fact that Soap Opera love a good “who’s the daddy?” story, leads to a highly possible outcome. Has Jagger’s resentment toward Jason lead him to have this vendetta?

There’s no doubt in my mind that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) is a loving and protective mother and wife. She may not have made all of the right choices when it comes to her family life, but her heart is always with the ones that she loves.

When it comes to Trina, Portia’s fears run wild. The thought of losing her daughter generates fear within her. As a result, Portia’s fears, drive her to do things that she normally wouldn’t do.

According to General Hospital spoilers and rumors, Portia is in the position to take matters into her own hands. As a doctor, Dr. Robinson (Brook Kerr) took an oath to always ethically take care of her patients. Essentially, even if the patient is a criminal, Dr. Robinson took an oath to always do the best she can to save a life.

GH spoilers tease that Portia is tempted to break the Doctor Hippocratic Oath. Indeed, Dr. Portia Robinson is a medical doctor. But first and foremost, she is a mother. As a mother, her instinct is to protect her daughter. That’s why she is willing to do whatever it takes to keep Trina (Tabyana Ali) from harm. First, Portia’s concern about Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and his family had her doing things she normally wouldn’t. And now that Heather Webber is a threat to Trina, Portia finds herself compromised yet again.
