In the 1990’s Julia Barrett founded Port Charles’s own cosmetics company, Deception. She launched the business with Dominique (Shell Danielson) and Scotty Baldwin and hired Julia’s sister Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) as the very first ‘Face of Deception.’ According to General Hospital history, when Dominique passed away in 1994, Scotty and Julian left the company, and left Lucy to run things as CEO. From there, the rest is history.

Fast forward twenty some years and Deception has found a new face and is ready to launch the modern day version of the cosmetic company. Things were starting to fall into place for Lucy when she discovered Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). Sasha was the perfect woman to represent Deception and Lucy was ready to run with it. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Lucy are working together to make sure this project becomes a success and they are counting on Sasha to help make that happen. Sasha is going through some major drama in her life after she and Michael broke up. Sasha is feeling overwhelmed and caved into being persuaded into taking drugs.

The Face Of Deception

Back then, women in Port Charles fought over John Jagger Cates, but he had a lengthy yet troubled relationship with Karen Wexler (Cari Shayne). Of course, there was also Brenda Barrett. His fiery and passionate relationship with Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) was the topic of conversation in Daytime TV.

According to General Hospital history, it’s been about two decades since Antonio Sabato Jr. played Jagger. But fans haven’t forgotten his name, or his face.

These days, Antonio Sabato Jr. has been making a name for himself in a different light. According to General Hospital news, Fox News reported on Sabato’s latest up and coming project. According to Fox News, Antonio Sabato Jr. revealed via Twitter on Thursday that he’s developing a “conservative movie studio for all patriots” and plans on taking on projects that other Hollywood studios “would never” do.

Antonio Sabato Jr. has supported our President Trump from the very beginning. Back in 2016 Sabato expressed his support for the conservative Oresident and received backlash for expressing his beliefs. He has since been blacklisted from Hollywood as a result of his expression. He like many others feel that their voice should not be muted, let alone his acting talents. Sabato Jr. is now making it his mission to do right by those in Hollywood that have had a similar experience while clashing conservatism and Hollywood.

Sofia Mattsson is fairly new to General Hospital and GH fans are just starting to get to know the real woman who plays the role of Sasha Gilmore and lives in Port Charles. In a recent post on Instagram, Sofia Mattsson announced her love for nature and hope that one day she will live countryside.
Sofia currently resides in California in order to be near her place of employment at Prospect Studios. Genera Hospital rumors have suggested if Mattsson leaves GH, she would most likely follow her dreams on where she wants to live. Hopefully someday she can settled down somewhere in the country.

Over the years, General Hospital has made history time and time again with its iconic storylines. Sadly, those creative and legendary stories won’t told for a while as we navigate through Covid-19. Although this won’t be forever, it is still difficult for the cast, crew, and fans alike to wrap our heads around the reality of it all. While we sit and wait for our world as we know it to go back to normal, we can reflect on the fond memories from our favorite Daytime Drama.

As fashion trends and TV show reboots from the 1990s have begun to resurface, one very memorable General Hospital storyline from the 1990s comes to mind. In the early 1990s I got sucked in and swept away. I started watching GH with my mom and sister and the story that was front and center revolved around Jason Quartermaine. Now, he goes by Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Jason, Jagger Cates (Antonio Sabato Jr.), and Karen Wexler (Cari Shayne) were stranded on an island and I was hooked!

Romance, drama, and adventure followed these three wherever they went, even on a deserted island! After being shipwrecked, they were stranded on a deserted island, making things very awkward for everyone involved since Jagger and Karen were a couple, Jason was annoyed, and the two men weren’t too keen on each other. This love triangle was secondary to that of Jagger, Karen, and Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil), but developed as Jason Quartermaine was basically a third wheel when he, Jagger, and Karen were stuck on a deserted island.

Tension was always thick between Jason and Jagger. Of course, it was all over a girl. Karen Wexler was the girl they both had their eye on. So, in one climatic scene, Jagger walked up as Jason embraced Karen from behind. Naturally, Jagger was angry and jealous, but it wasn’t what it looked liked. Instead, Jason was comforting Karen after the attempted rape. Like always, Jason Morgan has been a savior to women. He is a natural protector, quick thinker, and a fighter for what’s right. Jason Quartermaine never lost that part of himself, even after the car accident with his brother AJ (Sean Kanan), leading him to change his name from Quartermaine to another family name, Morgan.

At some point, Jason and Jagger had to put their pride and differences aside. This was necessary in order to work together to survive. Jagger was the muscle, while Jason was both the brains of the operation. Additionally, it’s apparent that both Jason and Jagger are strong and resourceful. Karen was resourceful in her own right, but definitely played the role of damsel in distress very well.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) has left Port Charles to try and heal from PTSD. He has been ignoring letters from his mom, Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero), and his estranged wife, Lulu Spencer Falconeri (Emme Rylan) has moved on with Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson). Dustin and Lulu’s frenemy, Brook Lynn Ashton Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) have history, and now that they are both in Port Charles, General Hospital rumors claim these two will rekindle an old flame, leaving Lulu out of the equation. That shouldn’t matter soon as there is fresh General Hospital news regarding Lulu’s great love, Dante.

General Hospital News: After Quarantine Hiatus Comes Highly Anticipated Returns

The Covid-19 Pandemic has put our nation and it’s activity on hold. What was thought to be about a two week hiatus has turned into much more. General Hospital cast and crew are currently out of production due to the Corona Virus lock down. The lock down and production hiatus was projected to last only about two weeks, which would have allowed episodes of General Hospital to air without any disruption. Lock down is still in place and the Executives at GH have incorporated flashbacks throughout scenes and Fridays are now repeat episodes in order to spread out the airing of new shows.

May Sweeps will be on hold since the hiatus has extended beyond the expected weeks. Many story lines will leave us hanging if General Hospital runs out of new episodes to broadcast. May Sweeps could be pushed out to June or even July since the end of the quarantine remains unknown.

It looks like Peter is close to being exposed as Robert Scorpio and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) zero in on evidence to prove Peter’s guilt along with clearing Dr. Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and Sam Morgan’s (Kelly Monaco). In General Hospital comings and goings, it has been reported that Kathleen Gati has left the show temporarily but will definitely return to proceed with her story line involving Obrecht’s arrest. The Quartermaine family has a lot going on at the moment. Brook Lynn Ashton Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) has recently moved back to Port Charles and hasn’t fallen short when it comes to bringing the drama to the scene. She has been having issues with her music producer, has been blackmailed, started a new job at the family business, ELQ, got fired, fought with her long time enemy, Lulu Spencer Falconeri (Emme Rylan), and much more. Dillon Quartermaine’s (Robert Palmer Watkins) Dad, Ned, is in town, and his mom Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) paid the family a visit around the holidays but has since left Port Charles. The Quartermaine family is on the front burner which would make for a great opportunity to have another member of the family in town.

General Hospital news and spoilers reveal GH’s Robert Palmer Watkins would be happy to return to the show. In a recent article, Daytime Confidential revealed Watkins take on a possible return to General Hospital. Watkins told the source, “I would be open to making a return at some point.
