General Hospital News: After Quarantine Hiatus Comes Highly Anticipated Returns

The Covid-19 Pandemic has put our nation and it’s activity on hold. What was thought to be about a two week hiatus has turned into much more. General Hospital cast and crew are currently out of production due to the Corona Virus lock down. The lock down and production hiatus was projected to last only about two weeks, which would have allowed episodes of General Hospital to air without any disruption. Lock down is still in place and the Executives at GH have incorporated flashbacks throughout scenes and Fridays are now repeat episodes in order to spread out the airing of new shows.

May Sweeps will be on hold since the hiatus has extended beyond the expected weeks. Many story lines will leave us hanging if General Hospital runs out of new episodes to broadcast. May Sweeps could be pushed out to June or even July since the end of the quarantine remains unknown.

It looks like Peter is close to being exposed as Robert Scorpio and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) zero in on evidence to prove Peter’s guilt along with clearing Dr. Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and Sam Morgan’s (Kelly Monaco). In General Hospital comings and goings, it has been reported that Kathleen Gati has left the show temporarily but will definitely return to proceed with her story line involving Obrecht’s arrest. Peter framed Sam and LIesl for his crimes and has gotten away with it thus far.

General Hospital spoilers had indicated Dr. Obrecht will make a shocking discovery while she is away. General Hospital rumors have hinted Obrecht will be the one to prove her own innocence, freeing Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) as well. Peter August (Wes Ramsey) had to set up a distraction after catching the vibe that DA Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) was on his tail and close to finding out the truth. Robert received a phone call learning that Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) was dead. However, General Hospital rumors hint a return for the Holly after Liesl brings her back to Port Charles along with Drew in order to take down Peter and set herself free.

General Hospital Spoilers: Robert Is Shaken, Peter’s Plan Backfires- Leads To Shocking Twist For Holly And Drew

Peter August (Wes Ramsey) doesn’t miss a beat when it comes to covering his tracks or taking care of a situation he feels he doesn’t have complete control over. After his encounter with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) at Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Finn’s (Michael Easton) house for Violet’s (Jophielle Love) birthday party, Peter made a cryptic phone call. Peter is suspicious of Robert and has a feeling Robert will be a problem in the near future. Peter’s focus is keeping up with his lies, which means Robert is in his way. Peter was successful in rattling DA Scorpio, however, General Hospital rumors claim Peter won’t be ahead in the game for too long.

Robert answered a phone call and received news that his long time love and friend is dead. Robert went straight to Anna with the news of Holly Sutton’s (Emma Samms) death. Robert, Anna, and Holly have a great deal of history together

General Hospital fans can’t help but wonder, who is Peter calling? Who does Peter have in his back pocket, in high places, and able to carry out his dirty work? General Hospital rumors have been claiming different theories to figure out who Peter is working with. Anna’s sister, Alex could definitely be the person on the other end of Peter’s phone, helping him keep up this charade which is deceiving the people of Port Charles, including his loved ones. Previously, General Hospital Blog reported GH rumors and spoilers involving Dr. Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) finding evidence that could lead to her exoneration and clear Sam Morgan’s (Kelly Monaco) name as well. Liesl Obrecht has been arrested for the murder of Drew Cain (Billy Miller) but was framed by Peter. If Drew Cain is found alive, Dr. Obrecht and Sam Morgan will be able to live their lives freely, providing full redemption for these two woman Peter tried to railroad.

General Hospital rumors are flying after Robert received the news about Holly. It’s likely that whoever Peter has been calling and working with has set up just exactly what Peter wanted- a distraction for DA Scorpio. But is Holly actually dead? It’s quite possible that she is dead, but Holly has been such an iconic character that it wouldn’t make much sense for the character to be killed off, off-screen.

Some General Hospital spoilers suggest Holly Sutton and Drew Cain will turn up alive, which would completely blow up Peter’s plan to go on living his lie while letting Sam and Liesl take the fall.

General Hospital News: Robert Palmer Watkins Addresses Bringing Dillon Quartermaine Back To GH

The Quartermaine family has a lot going on at the moment. Brook Lynn Ashton Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) has recently moved back to Port Charles and hasn’t fallen short when it comes to bringing the drama to the scene. She has been having issues with her music producer, has been blackmailed, started a new job at the family business, ELQ, got fired, fought with her long time enemy, Lulu Spencer Falconeri (Emme Rylan), and much more. Dillon Quartermaine’s (Robert Palmer Watkins) Dad, Ned, is in town, and his mom Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) paid the family a visit around the holidays but has since left Port Charles. The Quartermaine family is on the front burner which would make for a great opportunity to have another member of the family in town.

General Hospital news and spoilers reveal GH’s Robert Palmer Watkins would be happy to return to the show. In a recent article, Daytime Confidential revealed Watkins take on a possible return to General Hospital. Watkins told the source, “I would be open to making a return at some point. I loved the role of Dillon, and General Hospital will always be family.”

Throwing another Quartermaine into the mix could be exactly what the family needs to handle the current issues involving ELQ, Nelle (Chloe Lanier), Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), and everything else that is weighing on the Quartermaine clan.

General Hospital News: Kimberly McCullough Opens Up About Returning To GH And Body Image

Kimberly McCullough gets real and vulnerable as she opens up about returning to General Hospital as the role she originated back in 1985, little Robin Scorpio. McCullough made her debut on the Daytime Drama when she was just 7 years old. She played alongside the names in Daytime, such as, Finola Hughes who plays her mother, Anna Devane, Tristan Rogers who plays her father, Robert Scorpio, and John J, York, aka Uncle Mac, who raised Robin, just to name a few.

In recent years, McCullough has been on and off the set GH after her character Robin, husband Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson), and their daughter Emma Drake (Brooklyn Silzer), moved to California. Robin and Emma have been back to visit Anna a few times here and there, but McCullough has not played a large role on GH since her character moved away for work. Kimberly has been working on Directing, pulling most of her focus on being a Director rather thank actor. McCullough has directed many productions, some including, Pretty Little Liars, K.C. Undercover, Shake It Up, and more.

In previous General Hospital news and spoilers, McCullough had posted on Instagram, mentioning she had retired as an actor. Currently, McCullough tells Soaps In Depth she is open to bringing Robin back to Port Charles. She went on about how hectic her current work schedule is, and with having an almost 2 year old son, she really wants to spend her time off from directing at home. However, she does proceed to say, “No, I don’t think it;s the last you’ll see if me, but you know, I also don’t look like an actor anymore. I’ve gained weight and I’m fine with that. For me to maintain that level of fitness, it’s like being an athlete. You have to maintain it. It takes money, time, effort, and focus- and I’m focused on other things. I’m focused on my brain. I’m focused on being a mother, and on growing in other ways. And honestly, I just don’t have the time to do that right now.”

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his father Mike Corbin (Max Gail) have grown much closer in recent times, coming a long way from a rocky past as father and son. When Mike was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, Sonny, Carly (Laura Wright) and the rest of the Corinthos family had to process the devastating news, and after some denial period for Sonny, the family has accepted the fate of this progressive disease. Mike has had bad days and good days, and they have all been emotional roller coasters of days for his son and family.

General Hospital spoilers indicate actor Max Gail is getting ready to wrap up his story line as the iconic mobster’s father. General Hospital rumors claim that after Mike’s turn for the worse coming toward the end of this month, it’s only a matter of time before Mike’s disease takes control and the Corinthos family will have to say goodbye.

Max Gail has been an amazing addition to the cast of General Hospital, taking on the role of Sonny’s dad with a complicated relationship with his son. GH fans fell in love with his charm and talent he exudes on screen. Gail should really receive an Emmy for this role. There is no way Britt is going to let her Mutter go down for a crime she didn’t commit.

Britt really isn’t the type to care too much about the bad that happens to many others, but this is different since her own mom is about to go down for all of Peter’s crimes.
