Kristen Alderson OUT as GH’s Kiki Jerome

Shocking casting news has just hit the media. Long time soap actress Kristen Alderson joined the cast of General Hospital after One Life to Live was cancelled. Alderson played the iconic role of Starr Manning on OLTL until the ABC daytime drama met its demise. When she joined the cast at GH, she reprised the told of Starr, but because of legal issues with Proslect Park, the executives at GH were forced to change the character’s name. She became Kiki Jerome, daughter of Silas Clay (Michael Easton, ex- John McBain OLTL) and Ava Jerome (Maura West). She also co-starred with OLTL TV father Todd Manning played by Roger Howarth.

Soap Opera Digest has reported that Kristen Alderson will be wrapping up her role as Kiki Jerome very soon. the reason for Alderson’s departure has not yet been revealed. General Hospital Blog will keep fans updated on any information regarding this shocking GH casting shake up.

General Hospital Newcomer OUT! Check Out the Recast!

This past year has been the year for new characters coming and going from General Hospital. POrt Charles has been like Grand Central Station with all the old characters popping in and out of town, along with new faces to familiarize with. Lately it seems that every time we get used to seeing a new face, they disappear.

In 2014 we were introduced to Robb Derringer’s portrayal of Agent Kyle Sloan. He really has it out for Anna Devane, even still after they shared a dance on New Years Eve.

Sources report that Robb Derringer was let go by the executives at GH and the role of Agent Kyle Sloan has been recast. The role will now be played by aAs the World Turns alum, Grayson McCouch.

A Frisco Jones Return?

In the last year or so, the executives at GH have been known for bringing back fan favorites and vet characters. With all of the WSB and Frisco Jones talk that went on last week, could the writers be giving the audience a hint? Last week when Maxie was in her air plane dilemma, she reached out to her father, Frisco Jones to come to her aid and get her home to Nathan before the new year. Also last week, Agent Sloan brought up the fact that Frisco was now the head of the WSB to Anna Devane.

If Jack Wagner does return to his role as Frisco Jones, there are many possible story lines he could tie into. For one, his daughter Maxie will always hold a special place in her heart for her father, also he has many long time friends and colleagues that could be part of a Frisco story line. Since he is now head of the WSB, there is potential there as well with the involvement in the entire Fluke, Jerry Jacks, Helena Cassadine saga, since Victor Cassadine and Anna Devane have been linked to the WSB for many years.

Many times, name dropping like this is a way for the writers to hint that a certain character may be on their way back to Port Charles… but not always. Jack Wagner (Frisco Jones) was most recently part of General Hospital during the 2013 Nurses Ball. When the character was written off, fans had expressed opinions that implied their favorite character had been written out of character this go around. Jack Wagner himself had trouble with the direction the writers had taken Frisco and it was no secret that Wagner left the show on rocky terms with the executives. That being said, are the General Hospital rumors about Frisco returning true, or is it pretty unlikely to see Wagner back in the role of Frisco Jones? Perhaps fences have been mended between the actor and TPTB over at General Hospital. General Hospital Blog will keep fans updated with any information confirming or denying this GH rumor.

What do you think? Would you like to see Frisco return to Port Charles to possibly redeem his character from his most recent visit? Comment below!

General Hospital Favorite Renews Contract!

There has been a lot of back and forth regarding a certain GH character in regards to the actor’s status with GH. Earlier in the year, it was unclear if he would re-sign his contract due to involvement in other projects. This year he has been working on a very large project wich took much of his focus.

Today it has been announced that fan favorite and Port Charles’ most legendary mobster, Sonny Corinthos will be sticking around. Maurice Benard has sign a contract with ABC’s General Hospital, continuing his current status with the daytime drama.

It looks like Sonny won’t be leaving the show after all which is a huge relief for GH fans.

Kelly Thiebaud’s (The Britch) Goodbye Message to Fans! MUST READ

Social media ran wild today as Kelly Thiebaud aired her last episode as Dr. Britt(a) Westbourne, aka The Britch. Daughter of iconic villain, Cesar Faison, and the eccentric Dr. Liesl Obrecht, Britta was one of a kind. A coniving little Britch but with a soft heart when it came to a certain few. The ones that truly brought out the good in her were Nikolas Cassadine, his son Spencer, and we got to see that she could actually be nice to someone when she was with her pal, Brad. Britt did a lot of damage around PC including meddling in and disrupting the lives of Patrick Drake, his wife Robin, daughter Emma, and her fellow co worker, Sabrina Santiago.

Today on General Hospital, Britta left Port Charles with her father, Cesar Faison. Dr. O stayed behind to look after her son and Britt’s brother, Nathan West.

After the airing of her last performance on General Hospital, Kelly Thiebaud sent out a heartfelt message to fans via Twitter and Instagram. Check out what she has to say to all her fans.

General Hospital Spoiler: Sonny Gets What’s Coming to Him

Which side of the fence are you on? Do you still have a soft spot for mob boss Sonny Corinthos, or do you think that it’s been a long time coming for Sonny to finally pay for his crimes?

Sonny is finally facing his demons and comes face to face with the harsh reality of being behind bars. With newcomer, new villain, “Heavy” out to stick it to Sonny, there is no telling how he will handle what’s about to happen to him. We all know Sonny’s mental health has been a barrier for him in the past when it comes to those tiny holding cells… will Sonny finally go off the deep end?

Crispin Alapag plays one good rough, tough, inmate, and “Heavy” isn’t going to go easy on Sonny Corinthos. As the enforcer of the Mexican cartel within Pentonville, “Heavy” is about as real as they come. Will Sonny be able to stand up to his new peers in prison and hold his own, or will he face a psychotic break?

Kelly Thiebaud Leaving GH

Back in early November, it was confirmed that Kelly Thiebaud will be off of her contract with ABC’s General Hospital. The actress has gone from contract to recurring status with the 51 year old daytime drama. More recently, there has been rumors that Kelly’s character, Dr. Britt Westbourne will be leaving the canvas altogether.

From the looks of the onscreen evidence, it seems to be that the General Hospital rumors regarding Britt’s departure from Port Charles is actually true. Britt is leaving town with her father, Cesar Faison, after Nikolas found out about her scheme with Spencer to get back into Nikolas’ heart. Helena was helping Dr. Obrecht and Faison out of town, and Obrecht was bringing Britta along with her. But when Nathan got shot, Dr. O decided to stay to keep watch over her precious son.

Keep checking back with GH Blog for more info regarding comings and goings and the status of your favorite GH actors.

Pentonville is About to Get a Little “Heavy”

A lot is about to go down in Pentonville. As Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) said, “There are a lot of people who hate the heeellll outta you” to mob kingpin Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)… so Sonny better watch his back.

Sonny has already run into Carlos and Johnny (Brandon Barash) during his “stay” in the slammer. Now that “the mighty have fallen” Sonny will be facing some real danger in prison. Sonny and Johnny Zacchara have always been arch enemies. The Corinthos and Zacchara families have been at war for many years, but with Johnny getting his own (grand)father, Anthony Zacchara out of Sonny’s way, maybe this will be an opportunity for Sonny and Johnny to face prison together, on the same side… or maybe not.

The Mexican cartel is huge in Pentonville and with how many people are frothing at the mouth just to sink their teeth into Sonny, things won’t be going well for the once over privilegded mobster. Did you notice someone new today? Yeah, General Hospital Blog introduces to you, “Heavy.” Heavy is the head enforcer in the Mexican cartel that runs the ring within Pentonville. Actor Crispin Alapag will be involved in making Sonny’s time behind bars a complete nightmare. Heavy is as tough as they come. WIll Sonny be able to withstand prison life?

Alapag also has a recurring role on Comedy Central, working alongside Ben Stiller and Cuba Gooding Jr. This project is scheduled to debut March, 2015. For more information regarding General Hospital’s newcomer, Heavy, played by Crispin Alapag, please visit imdb.me/crispinalapag.
