Teresa Castillo Tweets About Her Return to General Hospital

Teresa Castillo’s character Sabrina Santiago has had a lot of ups and downs in her seemingly short time living in Port Charles. She moved to Port Charles to begin her career in nursing as a way to follow in her Mother’s footsteps. Sabrina’s mother was also a nurse. She passed away some time ago and now that Sabrina is grown she wanted to become a nurse and take care of others just as her mother did.

Shortly after arriving in Port Charles and landing a job at GH, she set her sights on Dr. Patrick Drake. Not knowing he was the husband of the (then) late Dr. Robin Scorpio Drake, she fell deeper and deeper for Patrick as time went on. She soon found out who he actually was, but she was battling with Dr. Britt Westbourne for his affections. Soon after Sabrina won her man, Robin turned up alive and made her debut at what was suppsoed to be Sabrina and Patrick’s wedding. After Patrick ultimately chose his wife Robin over Sabrina, Sabrina learned she was pregnant with Patrick’s baby. Robin left town at the request of Victor Cassadine in an atempt to being he rbest frined Jason Morgan back to life. Jason, along with a couple Cassadines, has been cryogenically frozen and only the skills of Dr. Robin Scorpio have the chance of bringing them back. Meanwhile, back in PC, Patrick, Sabrina, and Emma were involved in a serious car accident. The accident cause Sabrina to go into preterm labor. Shortly after she delivered baby Gabriel, he passed away. Patrick and Sabrina lost their child.

This all led up to the departure of Teresa Castillo’s character. Sabrina left Port Charles with her cousin Juan Santiago (Michael Saucedo) and went back to Puerto Rico to be with the rest of her family. The actress has been on maternity leave and is due to return to the set of General Hospital in just a few short weeks. She will begin taping scenes in about two weeks. Castillo sent out a tweet last week with her announcement of returning.

When Sabrina comes back to Port Charles after grieving for her boy in Puerto Rico, she will be facing a hard truth. Patrick and Sam are debating on whether or not it would help or hurt Sabrina, knowing who caused the accident and the events that unfolded before and after. Will learning that Rafe caused the accident give Sabrina closure? Knowing Patrick was the one to operate on Rafe and the outcome that resulted may have an effect on how Sabrina heals from the situation. Let us know what you think. Should Patrick tell Sabrina everything that has happened while she was away?

The General Hospital and Y&R Saga

It seems as though the General Hospital fans cannot seem to put down the Steve Burton story. It should be simple, right? Steve Burton left his role as Jason Morgan after 21 years because he moved to Tennessee for his family. At this point, we all wish it was that simple. This has been an ongoing saga for months on end now. After leaving General Hospital, it was shockingly announced that Steve Burton was joining the cast of The Young and the Restless as Dylan. Fans were outraged and accused Steve of plotting this with friend Jill Farren Phelps over at Y&R all along. Burton has already made numerous attempts to convince the fans that was not the case but for some reason some of the fans just cannot let it go.Not only is Steve getting grief from his devoted General Hospital fans who have felt abandoned by their favorite daytime actor, he is also receiving some negativity from the Y&R fans. Y&R fans claim that ever since Burton arrived the show revolves around his character Dylan, fans calling it “The Dylan Show.”

In regard to the entire issue with GH and Y&R fans, Steve explained what actually is going on, he said, “Listen, without the fans we don’t have a show. I understand their frustrations and I know that they don’t necessarily like change. I guess maybe my coming to Y&R upsets people because they don’t really know the truth of what happened. What you and I both know — that GH didn’t make a deal with me. And that’s the whole truth. My contract was up and they didn’t want to play ball and make it work. At the time, I didn’t want to throw anyone under the bus over there but of course, as soon as it was announced I was going to Y&R, people thought the whole thing was planned by Jill from Day 1, which it was not. I vividly remember my manager telling me how ABC Business Affairs had called him to say, “Hey, is Steve going to Y&R now that Jill’s over there?” And my manager said, ‘No, he wants to make a deal with you! Quit dragging your feet. Make a deal.’ But they wouldn’t.”

You win some, you lose some, and you can’t please them all. There was more real life drama in the soap world when actress Michelle Stafford left her role as Phyllis on The Young and the Restless and joined General Hospital. Fans over at Y&R are missing their longtime fan favorite of Genoa City just as GH fans are missing Burton. With the arrival of Nina Clay, Silas’ wife in Port Charles, Michelle Stafford hasn’t exactly gotten a warm welcome from General Hospital fans. Maybe Steve Burton is right, and people just don’t like to accept change. But if things don’t “change” at some point, or if fans don’t cling onto that small hope that their favorite actor or actress will be coming back to the roles they are best known for, these stories about Steve Burton and Michelle Stafford just may never be put to rest.

As for now, Steve Burton is happy at Y&R and intends to stay there for the foreseeable future. Stafford is happily playing the role of Nina Clay on General Hospital and has no intention of leaving and reprising her role as Phyllis on The Young and the Restless. The role of Phyllis has already been recast and will now be played by soap vet Gina Tognoni. Rumors are still up in the air on the Jason Morgan recast. It is still rumored that Billy Miller will be playing Jason Morgan, but no new news about a signed contract has been confirmed by executives.

Will Patrick Save the Life of the Boy Who Took His Son’s?

Only in the soap world would such a compromising position even exist for a doctor. Clearly Dr. Patrick Drake should not be the one to operate on Rafe. Patrick is grieving for the loss of his son Gabriel. He now knows that Rafe was the one who ran his car off the road with a pregnant Sabrina and little Emma as passengers. Rafe admitted to Molly that he was the one who caused it, but also revealed that it wasn’t an accident. Someone put him up to it and fans want to know who.

Dr. Obrecht has ordered Patrick to operate on Rafe due to his traumatic brain injury caused by the accident. Patrick is the best neurosurgeon in the state of New York and basically Rafe’s only chance at survival. Silas gave Dr. Drake a solid warning, stating that he will regret it if the thought of using a scalpel to get revenge even crosses his mind. Sam wants to support her friend Patrick but at the same time she loves Rafe and Silas and wants Rafe to live.

Will Patrick be able to save Rafe’s life? Or is Rafe going to die so that Alice will get his heart?

Billy Miller as Jason Morgan; Maybe Not?

Trying to figure out what is going on with the role of Jason Morgan is almost as dramatic as the character Jason Morgan itself. After months and months of rumors regarding a recast for the role of Jason Morgan, a few weeks ago it was confirmed, or so it seems, that The Young and the Restless actor, Billy Miller had left Y&R  due to a recent disagreement with Jill Farren Phelps, and was headed to General Hospital. Billy Miller was said to be replacing Steve Burton’s 21 year stint as Jason Quartermaine (Jason Morgan).

Now things are looking a little uncertain. ABC has not confirmed any contract with Billy Miller. As of now, the actor has not signed a contract with General Hospital. ABC may just be keeping this information private for the time being, but rumors state that Miller will join the GH cast this coming August. Time is running out if a contract indeed still needs to be signed.

Comment below and let us know what you think of replacing Steve Burton as Jason Morgan.

Who is Mickey Diamond?

It turns out that fake Luke, aka “Fluke” has a partner in crime. Let’s call Mickey Luke’s right hand man. Mickey is to Fluke as Jason is (was) to Sonny. He made his debut walking into the art gallery where Julian and Jordan were discussing their “real boss.” Lucky for Julian, he didn’t disclose that information to Jordan.

Mickey will be in charge for the foreseeable future as Fluke’s portrayer, Tony Geary is on vacation.

Nina the Walking Psycho

After today’s shocking outburst by Nina Clay, we are now aware that her sweet as pie persona really is fake and our gut feelings about her have been spot on. It seems as if Sam can see there is something off about her but Silas cannot. Isn’t that how it always works? The one who really needs to be watching out is the one who has the blindest eye. Not only is Nina playing Silas with her blessing for his and Sam’s relationship, but she also can walk, and well, she is CRAZY!

She has been hated by most since her debut in the park, crashing little Danny’s birthday party. The writers did something right, we hated her, and we were meant to. General Hospital Blog gives a big shout out to actress Michelle Stafford for doing such an amazing job with her new character. Goal accomplished. Stafford has succeeded in making the fans loathe Nina.

What is Nina up to exactly? Is all this to get back at Silas for cheating on her 20 years ago with Ava Jerome? Some speculate that Nina was never even in a coma, but a mental ward. Some say that because we saw her wake up, that she was indeed in a coma. But that could have been an awakening from a catatonic state or a number of other reasons.Others speculate that her Mother is in on this entire thing and it’s payback time for a cheating husband. Rumors have been flying that Nina knows more about Jason Morgan than she is leading on and that perhaps they were in the same facility. She sure is prying Silas and getting under his skin when it comes to Sam’s feelings for Jason.

We now know that Nina has been watching Silas for months and that she was in fact the one to trash his apartment, not her Mother, Madeline Reeves. What does she have in store for Silas and Sam, and for Ava?

Keep watching General Hospital to find out what happens next!

Victor Cassadine Returns! Who Will He Bring With Him?

Actor Thaao Penghlis who plays Victor Cassadine on General Hospital will be returning to Port Charles. He was recently in town to blackmail Robin Scorpio Drake into helping his fellow Cassadines come “back to life.” Stavros Cassadine are frozen in a facility… the same facility where Victor told Robin her dear friend Jason was being held. With his body being in the same state as the Cassadine clan, Victor presented Robin with the option of saving Jason’s life as well as helping Stavros. Robin thought Jason Morgan was dead, so of course this all came as a shock to her. Robin agreed to leave with Victor even though she had just been reunited with her family after being help captive.

Who will Victor bring with him to Port Charles this time around? There must be a purpose for his return. Therefore, does this mean Robin did her job and she can come home to her family? Maybe Robin AND Jason will be returning to Port Charles and shock the town.

When Kimberly McCullough left GH, she stated that she wanted her role to be left open so that she can return. She was working on another project but said she would be happy to return to General Hospital when she was done. With the recent news involving cast confirmation of Billy Miller to GH, this all could mean that BOTH characters will be due to return.

Comment below and let us know what you think! Is it time for Robin and Jason to return to their families?

Is GH’s Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) Taking Time Off?

This information is not concrete, but more of a rumor that has been circulating among the General Hospital fans. Word out on the street is that Maurice Benard will be taking about 6 months off of his role as Sonny Corinthos and heading out of Port Charles! Why? you ask, well speculations suggest that the time will be used to promote a movie Maurice is in. Apparently Maurice is working on a project that he will be soon able to tell fans about.

General Hospital Blog will keep fans posted with any upcoming or solid information verifying or denying this rumor. Keep checking in with us and LIKE us on Facebook!

According to a recent Tweet, Maurice made the indication that he has filmed something he can’t wait to share with fans. Check it out below!

The Awakening of Nina Clay

In the next few days we will be introduced to Silas’ wife, Nina Clay, (played by actress Michelle Stafford). Last week, Silas received a mysterious bouquet of flowers that were sent to the hospital. The card read, “I miss you, Love, Me.” At first he thought they were from Sam. When Sam told Silas she did not send the flowers, Sam started to wonder who they could be from and why. She realized that it has to be someone who knows Silas quite well for the person to sign the card with “Me.”

Silas believes that his wife Nina passed away because her Mother, Madeline Reeves told him that she died after being in a coma for over 20 years. We the fans know that Madeline was the one who put Nina in that coma because she was pregnant.

Sam and Silas seem to be very happy in their relationship. Now that Nina is alive and awake, what will this mean for the new couple?

Let us know what you think of Silas, Sam, and Nina triangle!
