Steve Burton Not Thrilled About ‘Jason Morgan’ Recast

There has been a lot of talk in the last couple of months that the role of Jason Morgan will be recast in the near future. Recently fans have learned that Jason is not actually dead but he is frozen along with some Cassadines. Victor Cassadine has called upon one of Jason’s oldest and best friends, Robin Scorpio to help him help Helena and Stavros (who are in the same predicament as poor Jason). Robin agreed to help in order to save Jason.

With Robin off to God knows where with Victor Cassadine working on saving her friend, the fans are wondering what is going to happen with the role of Jason Morgan. Will he be recast? Will Steve Burton reprise the role? Last month Steve Burton announced on Twitter that he is staying put at The Young and the Restless.

It has been rumored that ex Y & R star, Billy Miller would the the first choice to take on the role of Jason. Although Steve Burton isn’t thrilled about some else filling his shoes as the iconic mob enforcer, he did make a statement regarding Billy Miller. Burton recently told Soaps in Depth, “When all that talk was going on, I said to myself ‘Billy would be perfect.’ It’s a character I played for a long time, and I have a huge emotional connection to him and the people there. It’d be weird to see, but they have to do what they have to do. I understand that.

Now that we have Steve’s blessing to recast Jason with actor Billy Miller, what do the fans think about this potential recast?

General Hospital Casting Call

The Executives over at GH have put out a casting call for a new female character. Although the description of the new role sounds a lot like Sabrina Santiago (actress, Teresa Castillo), we have been assured that this is not to replace the actress.

Teresa Castillo is out on maternity leave but they will not be replacing the actress, however there may be a temporary recast for Sabrina while Castillo is away on leave.

They are looking for an actress to play the role of a young woman who is from Mexico (Sabrina is from Puerto Rico), and wants to build a foundation in Port Charles with a medical career.

What ties will the new young lady have with the current residents of Port Charles? Will she butt heads with Sabrina or become her BFF?

Let us know what you think about the new character announcement by leaving a comment below.

What is Wrong with Luke?

Everyone wants to know, What the heck is going on with Luke? Something is seriously off about the already eccentric and quirky Lucas Lorenzo Spencer. Lately he is acting beyond bazaar, even for him. He has Tracy’s wheels turning, trying to figure out what has happened to him. Ever since he got back from the Miscavige Institute, he has been behaving in a manner that the people of Port Charles and we the fans have never seen before.

The most disturbing behavior we saw from Luke’s character was when he started snorting cocaine. He and Julian have it out for Sonny and plan to sabotage his coffee shipment with illegal drugs. Since this was such an extreme act for this character, what do you think is really going on with Luke?

Here are some theories that have been thrown out there by fans:

Luke was injected with drugs by the Cassadines

Luke is not really Luke and someone is wearing a Luke “mask”

Luke has been brainwashed.

General Hospital Welcomes Newcomer Zachary Garred!

Port Charles will be getting a new resident and he will debut this April 3. Australian actor Zachary Garred will be playing the role of Levi. He is said to cross paths with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) as she returns from maternity leave.

Confirmed! Sean Kanan Leaving GH and the Bitter Departure!

Ron Carlivati has confirmed that Sean Kanan has decided to leave General Hospital.

Sean stated that even though he was thrilled to work with Frank Valentini, he was not “over the moon” about the way his character AJ was being written. He commented on how panic attacks and relish wasn’t what he had signed up for. Carlivati replied to Kanan’s comments with this tweet, “His comments are like school in the Summertime. No class.”

It it seems as if there have been bridges burned between actor Sean Kanan (AJ Quartermaine) and Executives at GH, Ron Carlivati and Frank Valentini.

Sean Kanan leaving GH!?

General Hospital Blog has surprising news that General Hospital’a Sean Kanan (AJ Quartermaine) may be leaving the role. It has been rumored that Kanan is leaving GH to reprise his role as Deacon on B&B.

Billy Warlock (ex-AJ Quatermaine, GH) sent out tweets with his thoughts on the topic. He expressed that he feels for the character of AJ.

General Hospital Blog will keep fans updated as the story unfolds.

Who is Ready for Ned Ashton’s Return to Port Charles?

Yes you read that correctly! Ned Ashton will be coming back to Port Charles as his portrayer Wally Kurth has confirmed via Twitter. We definitely need more Quartermaines on our screen. Brandon Barash Returning to General Hospital?

Recently there has been word that coming later this Spring, Brandon Barash will be coming back to General Hospital to reprise his role as Johnny Zacchara. It has been said that Johnny will be back in Port Charles and will ultimately team up with King Mobster, Sonny Corinthos in an attempt to take down Julian and the rest of those involved in the Jerome Family organization.

Trevor Lansing (Ric’s Father) has been rumored to be the one bank rolling Julian’s organization and to have taken over Barrett Enterprises. The whole story involving Barrett Enterprises may somehow have to do with the Zacchara’s. There is a lot more to all of this than we currently know.

With a story like that who wouldn’t be excited? If you’re excited for a Johnny Zacchara return, SHARE this post with friends and fellow fans!

Is AJ Going to Die?

Ava Jerome has caused a lot of trouble since she has come into town. She is responsible for manipulation, lies, and murder. AJ finally figured out that he wasn’t the one to kill Connie Falconeri and that Ava Jerome was. Connie wrote “AJ” in her own blood causing Sonny to believe that AJ Quartemaine is responsible for his love’s death. Today we all learned that AJ is innocent. Sonny however is none the wiser. After Sonny walked in on AJ choking Ava, just as he walked in on him choking Connie at one point, Sonny had enough. In a fit of rage, Sonny pulled the trigger. Meanwhile, Michael is assuring Monica that Sonny has promised him he wouldn’t hurt AJ.

It looks as if Ava is still in the clear for now. With AJ being shot and unable to reveal the truth, Ava will be able to keep up her lies and false innocence in regards to killing Connie. What will happen to AJ next? The question everyone wants an answer to is whether or not Sean Kanan is leaving General Hospital. Ito has been noted somewhere that Head Writer, Ron Carlivati stated that Sean (and AJ) are not going anywhere. General Hospital Blog will update fans with the validity of this statement as soon as a definite source can be revealed. In the mean time… Keep watching General Hospital!

Rick Hearst to Return to General Hospital!

The brother of mob boss Sonny Corinthos will soon be back in Port Charles. Ric Lansing, played by Rick Hearst will be rejoining the cast of General Hospital after four years of being away. Not only will Sonny be reunited with his brother, Molly will be reunited with her Father.

Ric made quite a reputation for himself with the people of Port Charles. From lying, scheming, and kidnapping a pregnant Carly, to Fathering the daughter of top lawyer Alexis Davis. We just aren’t sure what to expect! Will he be naughty or nice?

Look for Ric Lansing to come to Port Charles on Monday, February 24th. We look forward to his return and the possible story lines that come from this character!
