General Hospital News: Agent Sloane Switch Up

SloaneThe role of Agent Sloane was originally portrayed by actor, Robb Derringer. For reasons that remain unknown, Derringer exited the role of Agent Sloane, and was replaced by Grayson McCouch.

Rebecca Budig’s BIG GH Contract News

HaydencontractRebecca Budig joined the cast of General Hospital back in February of this year. She is well known for her role on the former ABC soap All My Children, as Greenlee Smythe. She joined GH earlier this year as a con-artist named Hayden Barnes. Hayden’s main story was revolved around the big Jason Morgan identity crisis. Last month it was announced that Budig was returning to General Hospital, she signed a contract with the show, and her character Hayden was waking from her coma.

General Hospital spoilers and news have hit social media with more details of Budig’s contract with GH. The actress has signed a whopping 4 year contract with the ABC soap. It goes without saying, but it’s apparent that Hayden will be sticking around Port Charles for the foreseeable future.

As a daytime favorite, Rebecca Budig stole the hearts of her fans with her memorable role as Greenlee on AMC. She is no stranger to daytime, and will make a wonderful, full-time addition to the cast of General Hospital.

Where would you like to see the writers take this character? We want to know the fan’s thoughts on Budig’s 4 year contract, the character of Hayden Barnes, and what they would like to see for Hayden, including love interest, etc. Please leave your comments and share with friends.

Help Bring Michael Easton (Silas) Back to GH

Who killed SilasWhen fans found out that Michael Easton’s character, Silas Clay had been written out of the show, GH executives received a lot of backlash from that decision. Easton is a long time ABC soap vet, gaining most of his popularity as John McBain from ABC’s One Life to Live.

When he joined the vast of General Hospital, Michael Easton reprised his role as John McBain from Llanview, only now then he resided in Port Charles. Due to legal issues between ABC and Prospect Park, GH was no longer allowed to use the name John McBain. Easton was then brought to the show, as the brother of Stephen Clay, from the GH spin off, Port Charles.

General Hospital rumor has it that co-stars such as Kelly Monaco (Sam Morgan), are very displeased with the way Easton and his character were written off the show. The buzz started at the General Hospital Fan Club Weekend in California, where people claim that Monaco expressed her dissatisfaction with losing Easton at GH.

It is now our chance to help get Michael Easton back to General Hospital as Silas. There is a petition with almost 8,000 signatures already. All we have to do is band together and sign, in hopes that TPTB will be able to bring this character back, despite the way the story for Silas was written under Ron Carlivati’s doings. Now that Carlivati has been let go from GH and Jean Passanante and Shelly Altman are taking over, there is possibility that we can get Silas back to Port Charles.

Please help us get Michael Easton back on General Hospital! CLICK HERE to sign the petition.

Share this post as many times as possible in order to maximize the potential of every signature to get Easton back.

GH Blog wants to thank you in advance for you support.

Rebecca Budig Returns to GH with a Contract

RebeccaBudigThe ABC soap vet and All My Children alum, Rebecca Budig, joined the cast of General Hospital back in March of this year. She was brought on as her character was part of the Jason Morgan/Jake Doe story line. As of right now, in Port Charles, Hayden Barnes, played by Budig, holds the key to Jason’s true identity.

Sure, other people are aware that Jake Doe (Billy Miller) is actually Jason. Those people include, Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher), Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst), Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson), and Laura Spencer (Genie Francis). Well since Nikolas is the original person to harbor this secret and let Liz in on it because she is in love with Jake/Jason, and since Nik is now acting like a full blown Cassadine, there’s no chance of him or Liz coming clean. Nikolas told Lucky about this so that Lucky could have peace of mind if he decided to leave town. Knowing that Jason Morgan was caring for his children, Lucky felt it was right for him to leave and let Liz be happy. Therefore, Lucky has skipped town, and won’t be back to tell for the foreseeable future. Laura Spencer overheard a conversation Nikolas was having that she obviously was never meant to hear. Although she doesn’t agree with what Nikolas and Liz are doing, she feels that it isn’t her place to reveal the truth and expose their lies.

This leaves Hayden Barnes. Hayden is the woman that Nikolas out a hit out on in order to keep her quiet. Recently, Patrick has been receiving reports of her condition, that she is waking up.

General Hospital spoilers have revealed that Rebecca Budig has already started taping for GH, and her character will return this Fall. According to Soap Opera Digest, Budig has signed a contract with General Hospital and is here to stay… well at least she’s here until her contract is up.

General Hospital Blog will keep fans updated on any news related to Rebecca’s status with GH.

GH Breaking News: Fan Favorite RETURNS to General Hospital

Lexi1There have been multiple breaking news stories regarding the cast and crew of General Hospital this past week. Some news disappointing, some see them as it being a good time for a change. However, this most recent GH breaking news is one that should make the majority of General Hospital fans extremely happy.

One of our personal favorites on General Hospital, spoilers have just revealed that actress, Lexi Ainsworth will be returning to General Hospital to reprise her role as Kristina Corinthos Davis. The daughter of Alexis and Sonny, sister of Sam Morgan and Molly, Kristina has been on and off the canvas for years.

Lexi Ainsworth joined the cast of General Hospital in 2009, and was replaced by Lindsey Morgan in 2012. It was rumored that the executives over at GH wanted a more mature looking young woman for the role. GH received a lot of backlash when Ainsworth exited the daytime drama, as fans were unhappy with her departure,

Soap Opera Digest has conformed the return of Lexi as Kristina and it has been said that she is expected to make her first air date in late August to early September.

General Hospital Blog is ecstatic to welcome Lexi back to General Hospital, as her performance as Kristina was absolutely STELLAR.

General Hospital Breaking News: Confirmed, Michael Easton OUT at GH

SilasYesterday, General Hospital Blog shared a rumor that had been flying around, claiming that Michael Easton was leaving General Hospital. As it turns out, that rumor has become true.

Michael Easton joined GH after the fallout of our two beloved ABC soaps, All My Children and One Life to Live. He first came to Port Charles as John McBain, his character’s name from Llanview on OLTL. Due to legal issues between Prospect Park and ABC, ABC was forced to change the OLTL name. With some clever writing, Michael Easton soon became Dr. Silas Clay, with ties to the show, Port Charles.

This morning, Daytime Confidential has confirmed that Michael Easton has ended his character as Dr. Silas Clay on General Hospital.

How do you feel about this breaking news? GH Blog is uncertain if Michael Easton has decided to walk away from GH or if the actor was let go. We will keep you updated with any information related to this story.

General Hospital Rumor: Is Michael Easton OUT at GH?

McbainThe latest casting buzz following the news of GH Head Writer, Ron Carlivati being let go, is that Michael Easton may be on his way out. Michael Easton joined the cast of General Hospital after One Life to Live was cancelled. Easton went on to continue playing the role of John McBain until ABC had some legal issues with using the names from the axed soap. The GH writers were forced to drop the OLTL names, and wrote Michael Easton as Dr. Silas Clay.

Rumor has it that Michael is on his way out, but nothing has yet been confirmed. Daytime Confidential has also reported of this rumor, apparently, this type of news travels quickly.

It seems as though there has been much potential for Silas. First with Sam (Kelly Monaco), then with Nina (Michelle Stafford), and also with Ava Jerome (Maura West). There is so much that could be done with his character, since he has Kiki (Hayley Erin) as his daughter, Nina as his crazy ex-wife, Ava his ex-mistress and their love/hate relationship. A while back there was a GH rumor going around that Nina didn’t actually lose her baby with Silas, but that Madeline and Ava were in cahoots to take Nina’s baby (Kiki) and pass her off as the product of Ava and Silas’ affair.

Hopefully with the new writing team coming into place, they will be able to find a way to elaborate on Silas’ past and develop his character. Many fans have expressed that a Silas and Ava pairing would be a great idea, especially since there is so much history between those two.

General Hospital Blog will keep fans posted on any new developments related to the status of Michael Easton with General Hospital.

We want to know what you think! Would you like to see Michael Easton stay on GH as Silas Clay?
