General Hospital Ins and Outs and Summer Recast!

There will be a lot of characters walking in and out of Port Charles this Summer on General Hospital. General Hospital Blog has previously reported that Jeffrey Vincent Parise (Carlos Rivera) is OUT, and it doesn’t look like he will be returning. Sean Blakemore is also on his way out at GH as Sonny’s enforcer, Shawn Butler. In the midst of his legal troubles, and baby mama drama with Jordan (Vinessa Antoine), Shawn will be leaving Port Charles, will he take his son TJ with him?

Finola Hughes will be off for the Summer as Anna Devane will leave Port Charles since the death of Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan). Ian Buchanan has been out at GH since early May.

Lisa LoCicero will be on maternity leave for the majority of this Summer. Olivia and Ned will exit PC, as Wally Kurth has landed a role on Days of Our Lives.

Tony Geary is set to return to GH this Summer so that Luke Spencer can say goodbye to his loved ones in Port Charles. Geary is retiring for good, but we have good news that has confirmed Genie Francis will return as Laura Spencer for Geary’s exit. GH rumors have speculated that more GH alum will be returning to the canvas for Luke’s big goodbye. Jonathan Jackson who has played Lucky Spencer on GH, is currently on ABC’s Nashville. While Nashville is on Summer hiatus, it is highly possible that we will see Lucky return to Port Charles to see his dad, Luke, off.

General Hospital rumors have teased with one particular possibility for quite a while. Fans have been up in arms when it comes to Robin Scorpio Drake. Some want her back, some want her to stay gone, and others are willing to accept a recast. Although a recast of a fan favorite has been done in the past (Billy Miller taking Stave Burton’s place as Jason Morgan), it’s highly unlikely that Kimberly McCullough, who originated the character Robin will be recast. McCullough’s status with General Hospital remains unknown. However, there are a couple other possibilities for a Summer recast. Some claim that bringing Liz Webber’s sister, Sarah back to Port Charles is in the works, and since ABC’s fan February contest, social media has been buzzing that Serena Baldwin will make a return.

General Hospital Spoilers: Sean Blakemore Leaving General Hospital

Check out the spoiler photo revealed at the bottom of this post!

General Hospital has sprung many surprises on fans during this year’s Nurses Ball. May Sweeps, and the two day LIVE event. Duke was shot and killed by Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise).

Although it was previously announced that Ian Buchanan was leaving General Hospital, it still came as a shock to fans when Duke Lavery passed away. As a result of Carlos killing Duke, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) took the aw into her own hands, and shot and killed Carlos.

A shocking General Hospital spoiler that was stumbled upon accidentally reveals that General Hospital will also be losing another fan favorite character, Shawn Butler.

In a photo that has been circulating social media, it was revealed that along with Jeffrey Vincent Parise, Sean Blakemore is also leaving General Hospital. Check out the revealing photo below!

Can you make out what that says? Looks a lot like, “Sean and Jeffrey You’ll Be Missed Love Your GH Family”

General Hospital News: Finola Hughes Exits to Work On New Project

Closely following the exit of Ian Buchanan (Duke Lavery) from General Hospital, co-star Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) will also be making an exit.

In General Hospital casting news, the latest Soap Opera Digest issue has reported that Hughes will be leaving the set of General Hospital for approximately three months.

The long time GH actress will take a break from the daytime drama to work on another project. Hughes will be directing a file called, The Byrd and the Bees, which also features her good friend, Ian Buchanan. Head Writer, Ron Carlivati, tells Soap Opera Digest, “She will be back, rest assured.”

General Hospital Spoilers: Ned and Olivia Leave Port Charles This Month

Drama has risen when it comes to the baby daddy triangle between Olivia, Julian, and Ned. Now that Sam Morgan knows that Olivia is keeping this baby secret from her father, Julian Jerome, things are about to get more intense.

Previously, General Hospital Blog reported the departure of GH’s Wally Kurth (Ned Ashton) from General Hospital. Wally made the announcement to fans via twitter, that he will no longer be on GH as Ned Ashton, as he is also on NBC’s Days of Our Lives. He made a statement that he wished he was able to do both GH and DOOL, but unfortunately he is not.

GH Blog has also previously reported that Lisa LoCicero (Olivia Falconeri) is pregnant in real life with her second child, a baby girl. General Hospital spoilers reveal that Lisa LoCicero and Wally Kurth will both be leaving General Hospital in the month of May. However, there is good news, as Lisa is only going on maternity leave, and is due back sometime mid-Summer, around July.

Stayed tuned to ABC’s General Hospital to find out just how these two skip town. Keep checking back with us here at GH Blog for updates on the latest story line and news.

General Hospital Spoilers: Ian Buchanan OUT, But Will Duke Lavery Die?

Previously, General Hospital Blog reported that long time GH vet, Ian Buchanan is leaving General Hospital. Ian Buchanan made the annoucement to fans through social media. GH fans, especially fans od Duke and Anna are saddened by the news of his departure.

General Hospital spoilers reveal that during the Nurses Ball, a mob war is going to break out, and Duke is caught in the crossfire. It has been rumored that this mob hit is an attempted hit, but also that Sonny wonders who is responsible for the death of his friend and business man. With that information, GH rumors have surfaced, claiming that the “attempted” mob hit will be Duke’s and everyone will think he has died. We can hope right?

As the Nurses Ball comes to a close, and the drama is about to go down with the Jerome and Corinthos organizations, what do you think will happen to Duke Lavery? Hopefully Ian Buchanan’s out from GH will leave room for him to return some day to reprise his role as the genuine, handsome, love of Anna’s life, Duke.

Have Duke and Anna danced the Tango for the last time? Let us know what you think, leave a comment below.

GH’s Perry Shen Posts, “Reunited and it Feels So Good” The Britch is Back!

It looks like the fans (and Dr. O) aren’t the only ones who are ecstatic that Dr. Britt Westbourne, AKA The Britch is back in Port Charles. Kelly Thiebaud’s co-star Perry Shen who plays Britt’s bratty BFF, the lab rat, Brad Cooper, is also beside himself with excitement that his partner in crime is back by his side.

Perry Shen posted a photo on his Facebook page, of himself and co-star Kelly Thiebaud, as Brad and Britt that read, “We’re back Britches.” Let the fun begin now that these two are back in action!

General Hospital took home 6 Emmy awards at the 2015 Daytime Emmys, including but not limited to, Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series, Best Lead Actor in a Drama Series, Best Guest Star in a Drama Series, Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, and more!

Daytime Diva Donna Mills won the Emmy for Best Guest Star and in an interview with ABC’s ‘The View’ Mills revealed that her character, Madeline Reeves, will return to General Hospital for May Sweeps.

We look forward to seeing this devious character back in Port Charles in the upcoming month of May.

Congratulations again to the cast and crew of General Hospital!

Rebecca Budig On Her Way Out

It was big news when General Hospital officials announced that TV fan favorite was headed to Port Charles. Rebecca Budig has been a great part of ABC daytime for many years as she played Greenlee Smythe on All My Children.

News of the talented actress’ arrival to PC came with much excitement as well has many questions regarding the story line with Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) and Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco). JaSam fans were up in arms because along with the knowledge that Rebecca Budig would be joining the cast of GH was a brief summary of who she would be playing. Rebecca currently plays a woman that has claimed to be Jake Doe’s (Jason) wife, Hayden. This didn’t sit well with fans of the super couple because this woman would be yet another set back to the long awaited JaSam reunion.

If the recent General Hospital rumors are true, JaSam fans can have a bit of relief that this crazy story of Hayden pretneding to be Jake’s wife. GH rumors claim that Rebecca Budig has just taped her last scenes and the character she portrays is on her way out of Port Charles.

If Hayden is on her way out, we are one step closer to Jake finding out the truth and to a Jason and Sam reunion. Happy dance!

General Hospital Spoilers: TJ Has Bad News For Shawn

This week on General Hospital, intense drama leads up to the Nurses Ball as a mob war breaks out between the Jerome and Corinthos organizations. Many GH rumors have been flying around in regard to who is about to go down. GH rumor has it that there may be two people who get hit with gunfire.

It has been said that since General Hospital spoilers have revealed the departure of Ian Buchanan (Duke Lavery) from GH, rumors speculate he will be the one to get caught in the crossfire. Another GH rumor teases that Jordan, the undercover agent will be shot. Although there are no GH news reports confirming Vinessa Antoine’s departure from General Hospital, it is still possible that Jordan could get shot and injured during the mob shootout. Rumor has it that Duke is the one who orders a hit on Jordan.

All this drama will take place by weeks end, so be sure to watch General Hospital to keep up with the latest hospital drama, mob violence, and romantic scheming.

General Hospital News: Michelle Stafford Takes On New Role

One of General Hospital’s finest recent gems was snatched up from another network. Long time Y&R actress Michelle Stafford left the CBS network to join ABC’s General Hospital in 2013. Her iconic role as Phyllis Newman on Y&R was left for actress Gina Tognioni to fill Stafford’s shoes while Michelle became GH’s crazy Nina Clay.

In the most recent issue of Soaps in Depth, Michelle Stafford revealed that she has taken on a new role… but don’t fear, she will not be leaving General Hospital. She was working on a side project last month, filming for the independent feature, Durant’s Never Closes. Stafford already filed for this movie and she was able to work around her hectic GH schedule.

Michelle Stafford is also working on another side project that is being kept under wraps for now, she is in the director’s seat for that project.
