This topic has been spreading around social media like wildfire. When an actor leaves the show, it always causes a huge stir. Whether or not they were let go or it was of their own free will, the announcement of a GH departure is never taken lightly. Despite the multiple articles from many online “sources” the confirmation of West leaving General Hospital has NOT actually happened. Apparently, someone decided to take a Tweet that Maura West wrote back in early March, and turn that into a so-called confirmation to the rumors that she was leaving General Hospital.
We are aware of the fact that Maura West is still under contract with General Hospital, living the mob life as Ava Jerome. GH Blog will keep fans posted with updates on the end of her contract, and the decision she and the show make regarding her status with GH, As for now, sit back and relax, because those so-called “confirmation” claims are just blowing smoke. Take a look at Maura’s tweet from March 3rd. It looks more like she was thanking fans for the live tweet session and calling it a day. It is a far stretch to consider that a confirmation she is leaving the show. Decide for yourself.
Most excellent GH fans: Thanks for watching with me…hanging out and playing! Let's do it again someday! Much love, Maura
General Hospital spoilers have revealed that actress Emily Wilson (Ellie Trout) has made an announcement to Soap Opera Digest that she was asked to reprise her role as the quirky, nerdy, lab genius, and girlfriend of Damian Spinelli.
As we know, Ellie and Spinelli moved to Portland Oregon for to pursue Ellie’s career. Spinelli was granted custody of his daughter, baby Georgie, and she lived with the intelligent pair. Since then, the two broke up and Spinelli has moved back to Port Charles with his daughter, and he, Georgie, and Maxie are currently back together as a family.
Ellie will make her way to Port Charles tomorrow, April 14th. Emily Wilson tells Soap Opera Digest, “I’m so excited! Ellie has such a special place in my heart and I was so happy that they’ve asked me to come back. I’ve kept in touch with Bradford (Anderson, Spinelli), and Kirsten (Storms, Maxie), Teresa (Castillo, Sabrina), and Marc (Anthony Samuel, Felix), but everyone there feels like family to me at this point. It was such a great feeling to walk back into the building!”
Maxie has finally given in to her feelings to her old flame, her essential person, Spinelli. Now that Ellie is back in the picture, will she be a threat to their relationship?
There has been a lot of back and forth in regard to the status of GH vet, Anthony Geary, whether or not he will be leaving General Hospital after the big Fluke/Spencer family reveal.
We finally know the truth the the fan’s burning question, ‘Is Anthony Geary leaving General Hospital?’ Fans, fear not, because there has been no confirmation of the rumors circulating that Geary would be retiring his 37 year role on GH as Lucas Lorenzo Spencer. However, in the most recent issue of Soaps in Depth, Geary told the magazine that he has briefly left GH. He stated, “I need to clear my head out.” With all the in and out Luke does in Port Charles, his absence will easily fit into the story line. He continues on to say, “it’s while they’re deciding legally whether he’s going to Pentonville or the loony bin.”
Anthony Geary will already be back on set taping this month. He is expected to be seen on screen some time in May. Enjoy the good news!
Last week, 1990s General Hospital fans were in their glory when a twitter conversation between GH’s ex-Brenda, Vanessa Marcil and Kimberly McCullough (Robin Scorpio Drake).
Many times, General Hospital spoilers, casting news, etc. are revealed through social media. Vanessa sent out an instagram photo which was also shared on twitter of herself in a mirror. GH co-star, McCullough tweeted, stating that Vanessa was in a GH dressing room. However, after the cliams that Vanessa Marcil would be returning to General Hospital for the Nurses Ball, and to get beterrn Sonny and Carly, the actress sent out a tweet today that let a fan know that Brenda will not be returning for the nurses ball, and her surprise announcement is not related to a GH return.
Take a look at Vanessa Marcil’s statement regarding the GH return claims.
@ladyd2826 No. Brenda won't be at the nurses ball. Just to clarify again. My news that I'm excited to share soon
The last anyone has heard from Robin Scorpio Drake is when she lead her loved ones to believe she was moving to Paris by her own desire, even though we the audience know that Helena (Constance Towers) is forcing her to stay away from Port Charles. Robin and Patrick have since divorced, and Patrick (Jason Thompson) has moved on with Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco).
The latest General Hospital rumors indicate that Robin will be headed back to Port Charles just in time for the Annual Nurses Ball event. This year, the Nurses Ball is to honor the memory of Robin’s first true love, Stone Cates (Michael Sutton). Brother to Jagger Cates (Antonio Sabato Jr.), and good friend of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Stone meant a lot to the people of Port Charles.
Robin’s in and out has ruffled a few feather’s with fans, the uncertainty of this character’s future is unsettling to some. However, Robin is an iconic character, and the actress who portrays her is well respected by fans and TPTB at GH alike. As long as Kimberly McCullough wants to keep making appearances on General Hospital, it is safe to say that she will always have a home there.
It is uncertain how long Robin’s return will last this time around, perhaps long enough to tie of a few loose ends, or maybe even to create more.
General Hospital Blog will keep fans updated on the latest General Hospital spoilers, news, and any confirmation regarding the return of Kimberly McCullough as Robin.
Breaking news in General Hospital comings and goings. Long time GH star, Wally Kurth has announced he is leaving the show.
Wally’s character, Ned Ashton has played a significant role in the legendary Quartermaine family for many years. As the son of Tracy Quartermaine, Ned has been involved in many front running story lines. Currently, he is the the almost-love interest of OLucia Falconeri who has had her eye on Ned for quite a while. Ned is always there to help out a good friend, and right now he is claiming to be the father of some other man’s child just to protect Olivia. She is carrying mob boss, Julian Jerome’s child and doesn’t want him to find out.
Now that Wally Kurth has announced his departure from GH, it will be interesting to see how Olivia’s baby drama will unfold. Without Ned around, will she be able to keep her secret under wraps?
Check out the tweet confirming Wally’s exit from GH, announcing he has signed a contract with ‘Days of Our Lives.’
Hey all, guess I should confirm. I did sign a contract with #Days. Which will require me to leave #GH. It's bittersweet I can't do both.
There will be many shockers coming up this Spring including huge character reveals and cast exits. There have been GH rumors circulating regarding the exit of a long time fan favorite. It has been said that Ian Buchanan (Duke Lavery) is making his way out of Port Charles and General Hospital for good.
A Shocking General Hospital spoilers was revealed when TV Guide’s Michael Logan tweeted his opinion on this GH casting news. He feels is it a poor decision to let Buchanan go. ABC has no comment on this topic.
It has been rumored that Duke Lavery will be killed off GH in a shocking plot twist.
Check out the tweet below!
SO WRONG I'm hearing Ian Buchanan out at #GH in dire plot twist. ABC PR says "No comment." Fantastic actor. Legacy character. Poor decision.
Vanessa Marcil has played the unforgettable role of Brenda Barrett on and off on General Hospital for many years. Vanessa originated the role in 1992, and later left the role for 4 years, to return again in short term appearances.
Brenda Barrett and mobster Sonny Corinthos had an epic love affair that fans still swoon over to this day. Brenda has also been in love with another high powered Port Charles businessman, Jasper Jacks. Sonny and Jacks have been at odds for years as they were both in love with the beautiful Brenda.
Recently, Vanessa spoke with Soaps in Depth regarding the possible return of her character, Brenda. General Hospital spoilers reveal that the actress has been talking to sources at SID about a possible return to GH. Marcil said, “There’s always conversations. I’m a big fan of surprises, there won’t be an announcement before you see me on air. Like how they brought me back during the 2013 Nurses Ball, I was on set before people found out.”
Vanessa may be returning to the canvas, but it is uncertain whether she would be a long term player. She is currently working on other projects, including opening a restaurant.
No confirmations of her return have been made, and Executive Producer, Frank Valentini has not commented on either side of this news.
Now that Carly and Sonny seem to be in a happy place together once again, do you think it’s time for Brenda to waltz in and make a mess of things for Carly? Let us know what you think? Are you excited at the possibility of having Brenda Barrett back in Port Charles?
On today’s episode of General Hospital, actress Hayley Erin made her debut as the new Kiki Jerome. General Hospital Blog previously reported that Kristen Alderson chose to leave GH to pursue other projects. In a video to her fans, Kristen explains her decision to depart from General Hospital. You can watch that video by clicking here. GH Blog wishes Kristen all the best in her future career endeavors.
General Hospital Blog would like to welcome the recast of Kiki Jerome, Hayley Erin. We wish her the best of luck on her new journey with ABC’s General Hospital.
The General Hospital previews for today’s show looks immensely sad. Spencer’s father, Nikolas Cassadine is waiting at GH while his son is being treated for his injuries. Spencer and Emma were involved in a fire at Wyndemere, and Spencer became trapped in the burning room.
In the GH previews, Emma waits nervously at the hospital along with Nikolas. The two are obviously extremely sad and shaken up by what has happened. They share a heart warming and comforting hug as they wait to hear about Spencer.
General Hospital Head Writer, Ron Carlivati sent out a tweet to fans yesterday, questioning whether or not Spencer will survive. He tells fans to tune in and find out!
