My how time flies! It’s coming up on 4 years since Amanda Setton joined General Hospital. She made her GH debut as Brook Lynn Quartermaine on November 18th, 2019. Setton has since built a large fan base as the new Brook Lynn.
Now, four years later and GH fans are rooting for this young woman. Amanda has undeniably made this role her own after taking over from Adrianne Leon. Many years are between Leon’s GH exit and Setton’s debut. Reportedly, Adrianne Leon told Soaps Opera Digest in August of 2019 that she’d be happy to reprise her role as Brook Lynn Quartermaine. However, GH cast Setton in the role just a few months later.
BLQ has come a long way since her life as Ned (Wally Kurth) and Lois’s (Rena Sofer) daughter began. The new version of this Bensonhurst Beauty is just starting to bloom, and I think that we can thank Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Detective Chase (Josh Swickard) for that. According to recent General Hospital news and spoilers, GH’s Amanda Setton gives an inside scoop to Soaps In Depth
Amanda Setton Spills The Tea, Reveals New Brook Lynn Quartermaine
It’s an exciting time for Setton’s character, Brook Lynn, aka BLQ! The Quartermaine family dysfunction is at a high point, but it’s nothing unfamiliar. Instead, the Q’s embrace the chaos and dysfunction. It’s almost like they need it to survive. General Hospital spoilers indicate that Lois’s return plays a major role in BLQ’s life. Consequently, the effects extend to other family members as well. Changes are ahead, starting with Brook Lynn. Setton reflects on BLQ’s storyline when she and Maxie did whatever it took to protect baby Bailey Lou from Maxie’s crazy baby daddy, Peter August (Wes Ramsey). She admitted, “I think that whole maternal scheme transformed Brook Lynn and softened her and showed us a completely different side of her,”
It was BLQ and Maxie’s bond, along with the song and dance she’s doing with Chase that contributed to the start of something new. “She has that trust with Chase and doesn’t really have it with anyone else,” Setton said. “She can’t trust her grandmother. Her father is not who he says he is [Ned’s slip and fall accident conveniently turned him into Eddie Maine]. She’s been fired from her job.
“She’s sort of in this transition time,” she clarified, “but, you know, she’s still got her grandmother’s streak in her! She’s reformed, but she’s still Brook Lynn Quartermaine.”
Thankfully, General Hospital news and spoilers reveal that fans can rest assured that Setton is sticking around. The new Brook Lynn Quartermaine may have a few tweaks, but she’s still true to her own heart!
Photo Credit: TV Line Rena Sofer returns to GH as Lois Cerullo
Last month, General Hospital news reports confirmed Rena Sofer’s GH return. The iconic actress got her start on Loving from 1988-1991. Then, in 1993 Rena Sofer landed the role of Lois Cerullo from Bensonhurst, on General Hospital. The role became wildly popular as Lois Cerullo brought strength and sass, and a “don’t mess with me,” vibe.
Previously, GH spoilers and rumors speculated about Sofer’s (potential) return after news reports confirmed her Bold and the Beautiful exit. While a current storyline on General Hospital sends a nostalgic vibe, fans being to reminisce of the 1990s in Port Charles. Today, Ned Quartermaine goes by the name Eddie Maine.

GH recaps recall the slip and fall accident that knocked Ned out and triggered a memory disorder. Now, Ned only wants to be be referred to as Eddie Maine, as he has no recollection of his life as Ned Quartermaine.
General Hospital news and spoilers confirm Rena Sofer’s return to GH as Lois Cerullo. An exclusive sneak peek from TV Line gives a look inside Lois’s Port Charles arrival.
Surprise! GH spoilers reveal that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) opens the door to her mother, Lois Cerullo. She came all the way from Bensonhurst because she read an article about how Decpetion fired her daughter Brook Lynn. Now here she is, at the Quartermaine mansion.
An exclusive clip from TV Line shows a brief clip to Tuesday’s episode. On October 10th, Lois learns that Tracy manipulated and blackmailed her daughter into corporate espionage against Deception.
The moment Sprina fans have been waiting for is also the moment that Tabyana Ali has been waiting for! The 21 year old General Hospital starstill has some “firsts” to encounter in her career. But now she can confirm that she’s checked another “first” off of her list of professional milestones.
According to the latest General Hospital spoilers, Spencer and Trina’s trip to Manhattan gets hot and heavy. It seems like forever since these two first laid eyes on each other. So, it’s about dang time that their relationship blossoms into what the fans have hoped for.
Tabyana Ali Shares Very First Love Scene
GH news reports reveal Tabyana Ali shares the details of her long-anticipated, upcoming love scene with Nicholas Alexander Chavez. In a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, Ali articulates her feelings and experience as she prepared to and acted through her first love scene. She mentions that Trina mentally prepared for her’s and Spencer’s first time. But, not in the way you’d think. Instead, she meant it in an an excited sort of way, and then explained Trina’s thought process. Ali said, “I think she’s trying to get mentally prepared,” Tabyana started. “Not like, ‘Oh gosh, I need to mentally prepare for this,’ because I do think she’s already been thinking about it.” She added. “When I say ‘mentally prepared’ I mean it more like, ‘Okay, I need to calm my nerves of excitement.”
GH’s Ali had nothing but praise for her co-star and friend, Nicholas Alexander Chavez. When it comes to her easing her anxiety, Tabyana said that Chavez, “He would ask me, ‘What are the places you are okay being touched? What should I not touch? Is it okay if I do this or that?’ He was very respectful, which I definitely appreciated, and I tried to do the same thing with him.”
And when it was all over… Tabyana reflected on her experience with Nicholas Alexander Chavez. Indeed, Ali and Chavez’s first love scene experience together is one for the books. “They were already close mentally, and this brings them closer together physically,” Tabyana audibly analyzed.
We have to give it up for Cynthia Watros and James Patrick Stuart. There is something about that scene that is so very authentic. Shockingly, Valentin and Nina react to what they’ve witnessed. To their dismay, they find Valentin’s daughter, Charlotte Cassadine suspiciously entering Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) Metro Court suite.
General Hospital recaps recall the desperation in Valentin Cassadine’s eyes when he asked Nina not to share the evidence with anyone. Evidently, she never gave him her word. Instead, Nina just gave the “soap opera stare” (made famous by Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) and (Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos)) lol!
According to GH spoilers and rumors, Nina has Valentin’s back. Luckily, he is able to buy some time when Nina deletes security footage from the Metro Court. General Hospital rumors tease that Nina uses Olivia’s computer to keep things under wraps for Valentin.
But what does this mean for him and Anna? Despite the fact that he lied through his teeth, Valentin does love Anna. But now he’s stuck between a rock and a hard place, having to choose to throw his own daughter under the bus or letting his lady love live in fear.
We have exciting news to share as Genera Hospital spoilers and news have revealed the cast of General Hospital has gone back to work as of yesterday.
GH actor Joe Flanagan who plays Neil Byrne took to Instagram and posted a 24 hour Insta story revealing he has gone back to work. In the video you will see Flanigan in his vehicle, driving to his place of employment. He mentions how pumped he is to be back after the “Zombie Apocalypse,” and expresses his excitement to get back to work. See video below.
