General Hospital News And Spoilers: Lydia Look Dips Out Of GH, Details On Her Departure And Future Storyline

There’s a new Mob Boss in town and she’s just starting to make her impression among the residents of Port Charles.

General Hospital spoilers reveal. On top of all the personal family drama that’s happening with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), upcoming circumstances rock his business boat.

Selina Wu (Lydia Look) has been both beneficial and intimidating when it comes to her role as part of The Five Families. She’s definitely earned her place of respect in Sonny’s eyes after saving Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). What she wants in return will ultimately be the start of a new mob drama. But not just yet.

General Hospital news reports confirm that Lydia Look has taken some time off from her role as Selina Wu on GH. She explained that December and January are reserved for family. After being asked about her work schedule availability, Look responded that she’d need her storyline to pause until she returned from visiting her family in Singapore.

It has been a year in the making, and General Hospital fans have been long over this storyline. They haven’t been shy when it comes to their opinion on Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) having a romantic relationship.

Although a small group of GH fans have come to Nina’s defense and have actually been Team Nina as opposed to Team Carly, the majority of the outward complaints on social media have been against Nina. Fans have even called out the writers for the script. They aren’t happy with a romance between Nina and Sonny since the bond between Sonny and his wife, Carly, has always been strong enough to weather any storm.

One of the most popular General Hospital-related spoilers and overall topics is whether or not long-time GH star, Emme Rylan, is returning to the soap opera.

General Hospital wouldn’t be the same without the actress portraying Dr. Britt Westbourne, Kelly Thiebaud. Thankfully, General Hospital spoilers reveal her absence is only temporary.

General Hospital news reports confirm Thiebaud is taking time off of ABC’s GH while she recovered from Covid. On January 12th, Kelly took to IG stories to inform her fans that she was Covid positive.

Kelly reveals how Covid has affected her, stating, “Getting COVID has given me a lot of things, good and bad,” the actress tweeted. “One good has been the time to finally binge GAME OF THRONES. I do really wish I would’ve watched this with the rest of the world.”

Kelly seems to be in lighthearted spirits and recovering nicely. It won’t be long before she is back on the set of the 58-year-old, daytime drama. Although quarantining, it’s like letting her scenes are being rescheduled so that there isn’t a huge gap in her presence on screen as Britt.
