General Hospital Spoilers: Jason And Sam Face New Obstacles; Will It Tear Them Apart?

Jason Morgan and Sam McCall the night they met.

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) have been to Hell and back, faced death, and have been reborn. But do JaSam have what it takes to stand the test of time?

Sam has always been a fighter since the beginning. The moment Jason knew Sam’s true strength was when watching her fight through the grief of losing her baby daughter, Lila. That is when the true connection between Jason and Sam began. There have been countless moments of love and admiration for one another, but not alongside devastation and sorrow. These two have made their way back to each other time and time again, and many fans believe there is no reason things should differ this time around.

Sam is having a tough go, as she has been ordered to stay away from her true love while she is on parole for a crime she never even committed. All while Jason is trying to be responsible and told Sam he cannot see her anymore, not now, not until the time is right. Sam has always put her love for Jason first, and it never mattered what the consequences were. Some fault her for that, saying she is selfish and impatient. Sam just fights for what she loves.

The way Sam sees it, Jason has rejected her. Although that has never been Jason’s intentions, Sam believes Jason has abandoned her but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

General Hospital spoilers hint to a rocky road ahead for this iconic couple. As the days of dragon slaying seem for away in the last for this Bonnie and Clyde type duo, Jason and Sam seem to be struggling with menial, mundane, drama that’s been dragging these two down.

Are they worth fighting for? Will Jason and Sam find their way back to one another?

General Hospital Spoilers: Dev’s Connection To Port Charles Revealed; Will Brenda Barrett Return To Reunite With Someone?

Mother and Son?

Dev Cerci’s (Ashton Arbab) true background has remained a mystery since moving to Port Charles. Although the ever trusting, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), thinks nothing of Dev’s intentions, his right hand man, and very intuitive, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), thinks there may be more than meets the eye.
Genera Hospital rumors have claimed Dev to be the son of Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil), Sonny’s ex, and Alec Janacek Jr. (Antonie Knoppers). Alec was son of The Balkan, whom is now deceased, but was an enemy of Sonny. Both men have died at the hand of someone connected to Sonny. Dev Cerci kept bringing up that he was from Turkey and how important his traditions were to be carried on. He and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) had a tender moment when discussing Dev’s heritage and traditions. Genera Hospital rumors hint that the geographic connection of Dev’s background makes perfect sense when claiming Dev is the Grandson of The Balkan.
Genera Hospital news and spoilers pointed out Maurice Benard’s take on having Vanessa Marcil return to the role of Brenda Barrett. In a recent article by GH Blog, it was revealed that Maurice thinks bringing Vanessa back is a “no brained.” That being said, as Dev’s character develops, and we learn more about his past, General Hospital rumors hint that Brenda will return to reunite with her son- Dev.

General Hospital News And Spoilers: William DeVry Tweets “Deleted” Ship Name For Julian And Liz- New Couple Alert?

New couple alert! General Hospital rumors hint toward an unexpected yet pleasant idea for a couple, Julian and Liz!

Julian Jerome (William DeVry) needs a love interest and fans out there think Julian and Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) would make a great fit. Apparently William DeVry, GH’s Julian Jerome, thinks so too. In a tweet directed at a fan, DeVry mentions that Julian and Liz have “the most epic ship name. But it’s R Rated.” DeVry doesn’t go on to elaborate- but a fan does.

Take a look at the tweet and replies here below.

https://twitter.com/fantasyjb/status/1270100491880599554?s=21

Doesn’t DeVry know that couple “ship name” already has a history with General Hospital fans and dan wars? Here’s a little history lesson for those who may not know the back story… back in the day there used to be a much larger fan war between the Liz and Jason aka Liason fans, and Jason and Sam aka JaSam fans. The two fan bases battled it out over on the SoapNet Message Boards that night longer exist. The die hard Jason and Sam fans called the Liason fans, “Jizzers,” in a negative way to express their distaste for the couple.

Now that that’s all out in the open ?, we ask fans this, could you see Julian and Liz as a couple?

General Hospital News: Film Production Has Major Setback, Will Not Resume As Expected

On Friday, June 5, California Governor, Gavin Newsom, and the California Public Health Department made an announcement regarding Music, TV and film production; that it may resume in California no sooner than Friday, June 12th. Although General Hospital fans had high hopes, it is unfortunate for cast, crew, and fans alike, that the restart will not include Los Angeles County filming, which includes the Daytime Soap Operas on all networks, which means our beloved, General Hospital, will not resume production on June 12th as hoped.
Due to recent health concerns, Los Angeles County is holding off on restarting film production.
“There has been a slight increase over the last three days in the number of people hospitalized,” said Los Angeles County Public Health Director, Barbara Ferrer.
Even with guidelines for safely returning to wrk being met, there is no information on the time frame it will take to get back into the swing of things in LA County. We will keep you posted on any new developments.

General Hospital Spoilers: Dr. Obrecht Finds Proof To Expose Peter, Drew Cain Alive?

Dr. Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) has been wrongfully accused and charged with Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) crimes involving the death of Drew Cain (Billy Miller). However, we all know that Peter framed Liesl, just as he framed Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) for the death of cult leader, Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin).

Liesl is desperate to prove her own innocence. Everyone she loves, including her own daughter, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) has turned their back on her, believing that she committed said crimes. Jason and Sam Morgan (Steve Burton and Kelly Monaco) are onto Peter, but even with Spinelli’s (Bradford Anderson) help, they’ve found little to completely nail him. Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), although isn’t Liesl’s biggest fan, he cares for Peter much less and will help to prove he is deceiving Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), his girlfriend, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), and everyone else close to him.

General Hospital news revealed Kathleen Gati’s exit is only temporary. General Hospital spoilers and rumors have indicated that upon her return, she will bring back with her something so huge, it would prove she didn’t tamper with Drew’s plane in an attempt not murder.
General Hospital rumors claim that Billy Miller was in discussion with GH executives regarding a return. However, the unexpected global crisis, Covid-19 pandemic, caused everything to hit the brakes- including acting contracts, film, and production.

Now that we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel as lockdown comes to an end, it is possible the return of Billy Miller as Drew Cain could be in the works. Will Dr. Obrecht find Drew Cain alive and bring him back to Port Charles? Peter is running on borrowed time!

General Hospital News: GH To Potentially Resume Production In Less Than A Week

General Hospital news regarding the Covid-19 pandemic and it’s effects on Hollywood and the film industry has taken a positive turn.
The state of California has been under strict stay-at-home orders since March, originally stating General Hospital cast and crew would not be back to work until about August.
California’s Guidelines for the film industry was previously reported by General Hospital Blog and you can find that information HERE.
Genera Hospital news has confirmed that these recommended guidelines for the film industry to safely return to work, are not to be considered before June 12th. That is, if everything is in place and approved at the production studios in that short amount of time, California Governor, Gavin Newsom can give the green light to return to work and return to film.

General Hospital News: Breaking! California Releases Guidelines For Filming Return, GH Shooting Soon!

ABC Network has come up with a plan to get their casts and crews back to work ASAP. However, that isn’t going to come easily. Many precautions and guidelines are being out into place so that individuals may return to they roles as soon as possible.

New Developments

General Hospital news and spoilers had previously revealed that production would not commence until at least August. However, at that time, that’s what was believed to be true due to the California Government’s strict social distancing and stay at home order.
General Hospital cast members such as James Patrick Stuart (Valentine Cassadine) and Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis), tweeted that they would not be back to work until at least August.
General Hospital news can now report that it’s highly possible filming will return sooner than anticipated.

A Plan Of Action

ABC Network is working with the union for actors, along with other filming studios to come up with a safe and cautious way to get people back to work. If California Governor, Gavin Newson, gives the OKAY to resume, the plan of action must start with hiring a Covid-19 Compliance Officer. The plan includes needing a doctor’s note if you are 65 years of age or older, hand washing stations, mask wearing requirements, and cast and crew will be required to carry around hand sanitizer, along with more guidelines.

When Will GH Resume Filming?

General Hospital Executives, along with TPTB over at ABC Network have ironed out what seems to be a solid plan of action to safely return to work. If California Governor, Gavin Newsom, gives the green light, GH could start back up production this month.
This is fantastic and hopeful news for the network, cast and crew, and fans alike. It will be great to see new episodes of General Hospital sooner than originally anticipated.

If you’re as excited as we are, share the news with all your GH fan friends!

General Hospital Recaps: Remember When? Island Edition

General Hospital Recaps: Remember When The Island Jagger Cates
General Hospital Recaps: Remember When The Island Jagger Cates

Over the years, General Hospital has made history time and time again with its iconic storylines. Sadly, those creative and legendary stories won’t told for a while as we navigate through Covid-19. Although this won’t be forever, it is still difficult for the cast, crew, and fans alike to wrap our heads around the reality of it all. While we sit and wait for our world as we know it to go back to normal, we can reflect on the fond memories from our favorite Daytime Drama.

As fashion trends and TV show reboots from the 1990s have begun to resurface, one very memorable General Hospital storyline from the 1990s comes to mind. In the early 1990s I got sucked in and swept away. I started watching GH with my mom and sister and the story that was front and center revolved around Jason Quartermaine. Now, he goes by Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Jason, Jagger Cates (Antonio Sabato Jr.), and Karen Wexler (Cari Shayne) were stranded on an island and I was hooked!

Romance, drama, and adventure followed these three wherever they went, even on a deserted island! After being shipwrecked, they were stranded on a deserted island, making things very awkward for everyone involved since Jagger and Karen were a couple, Jason was annoyed, and the two men weren’t too keen on each other. This love triangle was secondary to that of Jagger, Karen, and Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil), but developed as Jason Quartermaine was basically a third wheel when he, Jagger, and Karen were stuck on a deserted island.

General Hospital Recaps: Remember When The Island Jagger

Tension was always thick between Jason and Jagger. Of course, it was all over a girl. Karen Wexler was the girl they both had their eye on. So, in one climatic scene, Jagger walked up as Jason embraced Karen from behind. Naturally, Jagger was angry and jealous, but it wasn’t what it looked liked. Instead, Jason was comforting Karen after the attempted rape. Like always, Jason Morgan has been a savior to women. He is a natural protector, quick thinker, and a fighter for what’s right. Jason Quartermaine never lost that part of himself, even after the car accident with his brother AJ (Sean Kanan), leading him to change his name from Quartermaine to another family name, Morgan.

At some point, Jason and Jagger had to put their pride and differences aside. This was necessary in order to work together to survive. Jagger was the muscle, while Jason was both the brains of the operation. Additionally, it’s apparent that both Jason and Jagger are strong and resourceful. Karen was resourceful in her own right, but definitely played the role of damsel in distress very well.

General Hospital News: Daytime Emmy’s To Be Broadcast On Television!

There is a bright spot in all the sad news regarding General Hospital’s hiatus due to Covid-19. As we know, today is the last episode of GH until the cast and crew restart production. They are tentatively supposed to start taping in August.
On June 26th, the 47th Daytime Emmy Awards will air on CBS Network for the first time in FIVE years. The award show has spent many years in the back burner, only being able to be seen via Pop TV channel or streaming. In the past, the three main networks will trade off hosting this event, but before going to cable channels and stream, CBS became the home for the Daytime Emmy’s.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Daytime Emmy’s will be virtual, hosted, presented, and awards accepted, all from their homes!
This indeed is an exciting time for Daytime TV fans despite what’s going on around us. It’s definitely a silver lining!

General Hospital News: See What Maurice Benard Misses During Lockdown, It’s The Little Things

This global pandemic has taught the people of our nation and even the world some hard lessons. A great takeaway from this whole situation is that almost everyone can say they miss the little things in life. Things that we have previously taken for granted, such as material things, services, or acts we enjoy, are a luxury to some, convenience to most, but also can be a necessity. Something as simple as a haircut or getting your hair blown out and styled by another human can really make a difference.
In a recent Instagram post, General Hospital’s, Maurice Benard, aka, Sonny Corinthos, displayed a video of his hairdresser and friend over at GH giving his hair a blow out.
In the caption, Benard writes, “Do you know how bad I want to get my hair blowdryed by my friend @hairby_anzhela

What do you miss most about your daily life you may have taken for granted?
