Today, April 1st, marks the 57th Anniversary for the every popular Daytime Drama, General Hospital. It seems like yesterday we were all celebrating the 50 year milestone, and here were, seven years past that. Time surely does fly, especially when you’re having fun. For me, I have thoroughly enjoyed each year we have been blessed with this soap opera on our television.
Let’s look at this milestone as a bright spot during these trying times. If we have to be in quarantine while we over come this Covid-19 pandemic, at least we have General Hospital to make us smile!
Here’s to celebrating many more years of General Hospital spoilers, news, rumors, drama, and excitement!
The Executives over at ABC have decided to scale down the weekly episodes of the Daytime Drama, General Hospital.
General Hospital will be celebrating it’s 57th year on air on April 1st, 2020. As the anniversary of the soap quickly approaches, the network has made a mjor announcement in regard to the current Covid-19 Pandemic.
General Hospital spoilers reveal breaking news of a new schedule tailored to help extend the weeks with new episodes. General Hospital will air new episodes on Monday through Thursday, and airing old episodes on Fridays.
It’s important in these trying times to stay loyal as fans and continue to support the cast and crew of GH.
Trina Robinson (Sydney Makayla) is grieving the loss of her father, Detective Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews). Taggert wasn’t back in Port Charles long before the tragedy occurred. It had been nearly two decades since Port Charles mob boss, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had seen his enemy, and at there first recent encounter, it was like things hadn’t changed. Taggert and Sonny were on each other’s nerves right away, however, this time, Taggert informed Sonny he wasn’t in town to take him down. It turned out Sonny and Taggert both wanted to take down Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
Taggert saved his daughter Trina and her friend Cameron Webber (William Lipton) from a kidnapped orchestrated by Renault. Taggert died as a result of the tragedy and now his daughter and ex-wife, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) are mourning his loss. His partner Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) is mourning the loss of a co-worker and friend. However that may not be the case.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Jordan Ashford made a phone call to a mystery person from a burner phone. This wasn’t just any person Jordan was reaching out to. It wasn’t someone to listen and comfort and give support. This person was the only person who could truly help Jordan at this time. She assures the individual on the other line that she is on the burner phone that is meant for only that person. She said, “I wouldn’t have called you if it wasn’t important.” Jordan then seems to asks her friend for approval.
General Hospital have teased that Taggert had actually faked his death as part of a plan to take down Cyrus. General Hospital rumors claimed he and Sonny Corinthos were in on the plan together. New General Hospital rumors claim it isn’t Taggert and Sonny who have the plan, but Taggert and Jordan.
Jordan most likely called her friend and partner, Marcus Taggert as he lays low in order to set the stage for Jordan to catch Cyrus. General Hospital rumors suggest Taggert is alive. Trina is mourning his loss, but if General Hospital spoilers are true that Curtis is Trina’s father, there will be a lot more for Trina to deal with when she discovers these truths.
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is fighting for the well being of his child, against the child’s own mother. Wiley (Erik and Theo Olson) needs heart surgery to repair a hole in his heart that he has had since birth. Wiley’s symptoms are progressing, and although the situation is not an emergency, it remains imperative that Michael and Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) agree that Wiley must undergo surgery to repair the issue. Michael and his grandmother, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson), have presented the case to Nelle, explaining the issue and why it is completely necessary for to go ahead with the heart surgery.
Nelle is being difficult to say the least, and is refusing to sign the consent form for treatment, which in Wiley’s case, is heart surgery. Nelle presented her rebuttal to Michael, refusing to sign the document. Michael’s girlfriend Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and mom Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) have tried knocking sense into Nelle, explaining why this is so important.
Michael and Carly have had enough with Nelle and her bulllsh!t and are taking matters into their own hands. General Hospital spoilers reveal Michael will go ahead with consenting to the surgery without Nelle. In Friday’s episode of General Hospital, Michael made a call to his lawyer, Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy).
General Hospital rumors indicate Michael is trying to come up with a way to go forward with the operation legally, regardless of whether or not the child’s mother gives consent. Carly on the other hand is taking matters into her own hands. Carly fights for what she wants, especially when she is fighting for what’s right for her family. Carly will be damned to let Nelle stand in the way of her grandson receiving the treatment that is needed for him to survive,
While Michael is trying to work on getting things moving along with Diane, Carly has her own plan of action. After arguing on the roof of GH with Nelle, Carly failed at reasoning with her and locked Nelle out on the roof.
General Hospital rumors hint that Nelle’s signature will be forged, making it possible for Michael to go forward with Wiley’s operation but leaving an opportunity for it to come back and bite Carly for going about it the way she has.
Nelle can’t stay on the roof forever, and when she finds out what happened, she will come at the Corinthos family even harder than before. Will Diane be able to save Michael from any legal repercussions of his mom’s actions? More importantly, will Michael be able to escape Nelle’s wrath?
Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) is working for Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), carrying out orders of illegal activity, along with directing Commissioner Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) to carry out orders from Cyrus as well. Cyrus has managed to rope Jordan into helping him carry out illegal activity through Port Charles as he hangs her son TJ Ashford’s (Tajh Bellow) over her head. Jordan is being blackmailed by Renault while Harmony made an agreement with the villain in exchange for her freedom.
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has already put the pieces together, that Harmony is working for Cyrus, and all the pieces fit into place when Jordan confessed to her husband Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), and Jason, that TJ was being help captive by Cyrus.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Harmony is in the thick of the danger now that Jordan, Sonny, Jason, and Curtis, are on the same page. Harmony knows she is on borrowed time, which prompted her to have a heart to heart with her daughter, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). In their conversation, Harmony mentioned that Willow has been the best thing to come to her. Typically, that is not the way a mother would express that sentiment to her biological daughter. It’s as if she had acquired Willow at some point in her life as opposed to giving birth to her child.
General Hospital spoilers revealed Nina and Willow both have halves to a heart shaped pendant, leading fans to the assumption that the other half of that necklace is in the possession of Nina’s long lost daughter, Willow.
As Harmony prepares for the worst, General Hospital rumors claim that if Harmony dies during this war with Cyrus, at this time is when Willow will discover Harmony is not her biological mother. This leaves an opportunity for Willow to be on the hunt for how this could possibly have happened, how she was lead to believe that Harmony was her mother, and where to begin now in order to find her long lost mother.
Willow and Nina both have halves to the heart shaped pendant, eventually leading to their discovery that they have a much deeper connection.
Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) has a vendetta against Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) and the city of Port Charles. Cyrus has made Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) his enemy as he is doing everything in his power to take over Sonny’s territory in town. Sonny Corinthos may be a mobster but he wants nothing to do with running drugs through Port Charles. Sonny wants to keep his legit businesses, legit, and not engage in any drug trafficking activity. Cyrus has other plans and is ready to go to extremes to get what he wants.
Previous General Hospital spoilers have revealed Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) is working for Cyrus as a result of a deal Renault made with Harmony in exchange for her freedom from Pentonville.
General Hospital spoilers reveal this week Sonny will receive a phone call with devastating news. General Hospital rumors claim Cyrus has ordered Harmony to visit Turning Woods, going after Sonny’s father, Mike Corbin (Max Gail). Cyrus is likely trying to distract Sonny from his next move forward in his plan to take over the territory. Although it’s unlikely Harmony will go the extreme of killing Mike, it’s highly possible she was sent to mess with his medication or cause some sort of alarming incident in which would call for immediate action from Sonny. If Sonny’s mind is occupied with not only worry for Mike, but also actively dealing with a dire situation at Turning Woods, he won’t be able to keep his focus on Cyrus.
General Hospital spoilers hint that Cyrus may have a plan of attack in waiting, Sonny may become too distracted to notice, however, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will be on his A game.
Will Jason be able to handle the situation with Cyrus in Port Charles while Sonny is tending to Mike at Turning Woods?
General Hospital actress, Kelly Thiebaud, plays the feisty, sassy, exciting, Britt Westbourne. Britt is currently in Port Charles for a short period of time to support her BFF Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) and hopefully her own mother, Dr. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati).
Thiebaud is no bore in her real life just as her character is full of excitement on GH. Take a look at how Kelly Thiebaud passes the time during the Corona Virus quarantine.
Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) have always had a strange relationship of despising one another, to helping each other out with their schemes. Valentin has come through for Nelle on many occasions, even if it isn’t out of the goodness of his heart. Valentin has helped Nelle when it made sense as being beneficial to himself. Offering to buy Nelle’s shares of ELQ, providing fake passports for her and her son Wiley are examples of how Valentin has come through for Nelle throughout her plot to get out of Pentonville, have some money to her name, and get out of dodge without a trace. Despite the fact that she wasn’t able to get away as planned, the intent to help Nelle was still there.
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Valentin Cassadine aren’t fond of one another, mainly because Michael had threatened Valentin back when Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) was exposed for pretending to be Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) long lost daughter. Valentin was the one behind the entire scheme and Michael made it known to Valentin that he was to have Nina drop the charges against Sasha or he would expose Valentin to his love, Nina. Valentine has good reason to want to stick it to Michael, which is why Nelle and Valentin working together totally makes sense.
General Hospital spoilers indicate that Nelle turns to Valentin yet again and this time, Valentin won’t turn her down for that drink she asked to get in the recent past. General Hospital rumors claim that Nelle will present Valentin with what they will both see as a genius plan to help Nelle get custody of Wiley and to stick it to Michael at the same time.
General Hospital spoilers hint Nelle and Valentin will be ahead of Sasha’s plan for Michael and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) to marry for the sake of Wiley. Previous General Hospital rumors claimed that Valentin and Nelle would eventually hook up as their have both seen better days and need someone to lean on. Will they be able to beat Michael and Willow to the punch and get married? Even if these two get married in order to make a home for Wiley, will the court even recognize this as being a stable home with these two psychopaths?
General Hospital News: General Hospital’s Nelle Benson is a fantastic love-to-hate character played by the incredibly talented Chloe Lanier. Lanier first landed her role on General Hospital playing a young Patricia Spencer back in 2015. The cast and crew of General Hospital were so impressed with her talent, they brought Chloe on to play the wildly crazy, impulsive, vengeful, Nelle Benson.
Amidst the confusion and chaos around the nation and globe today, Chloe Lanier has found herself right in the middle of the threat. Chloe explains on her Instagram post that she has come down with symptoms that re likely the Corona Virus, alrso referred to Covid-19. Lanier explains she was told that due to her age and otherwise good health, medical professionals would not test the young woman, and that she “probably” has corona virus and to self quarantine. Read her Insta story screen below.
Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Dr. Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) were caught off guard when he was informed that it was known he and his patient, Alexis Davis were engaged in a romantic relationship. The two parties involved went back and forth trying to make a decision on whether or not to carelessly continue their affair or stop seeing one another so that Dr. Byrne is not penalized by the Medical Association. Weeks later, there was a meeting held to determine whether or not Dr. Byrne would be suspended or be able to continue practicing, judging on his and Alexis’ past and current relationship status. To their pleasant surprise, Neil was not penalized and was able to go on practicing as an M.D. Alexis and Neil were told there was a third party complaint, meaning, someone has noticed, pointed out, and complained about what they viewed as an inappropriate relationship.
General Hospital spoilers reveal there is a third party watching Neil and Alexis’ every move. But who? Who could be watching Neil and Alexis and who would even care or be bothered that they were in a relationship? In the next weeks episodes of General Hospital, General Hospital spoilers indicate Neil will fall victim of what looks to be a random act of violence, but General Hospital rumors claim it’s much more. The third party complaint most likely comes from an enemy of either Alexis or Neil- maybe even both. Someone out there has an agenda. This attack on Neil wakes up Alexis and she is on high alert for the next attack, trying to figure out who would want to do something like this. Hopefully Alexis can help solve who may have it out for Neil.
