Anthony Geary’s Jackie Zeman tribute reminds us of why General Hospital has been going strong for 60 years. …It’s not every day actors jump aboard the ship of a new working endeavor and sail off into paradise. In reality, a well-written storyline can only take a show so far. But it’s the actors who light up the screen that make the magic happen. Arguably, much of General Hospital’s success can be attributed to it’s extraordinary cast.
In television, many times the chemistry between co-stars is nonexistent. And sometimes there is some underlying reason that a show, a storyline, or even the characters themselves become a flop. Most gratefully, that’s not the case when it comes to the actors who made General Hospital what it is today. Jackie Zeman leaves her legacy as having been part of what was quite possibly the most iconic daytime tv crew. Her group of co-stars and off-screen pals include Anthony Geary (Lucas Lorenzo Spencer), Genie Francis (Laura Webber Spencer Collins), Kristina Wagner and John J. York (Felicia and Mac Scorpio), among other veteran actors.

Following the tragic news of Jackie Zeman’s passing, co-star and life-long friend Anthony Geary paid tribute to his former co-star and tv sibling. Geary’s statement was told to TV Line after news about Jackie broke out. He said, “I was fortunate enough to play Jackie Zeman’s big brother on General Hospital. In all those years, I never heard her utter one disparaging word about any actor, crew member or co-worker. In fact, I never heard Jackie express an unkind word about anyone, ever.
“In a highly competitive profession where ego, feelings and emotions are bread and butter, I’ve found this quality to be extremely rare. I expect it will be even more rare now that dear Jackie is gone,” he added. “She was quite simply one of the kindest, sweetest people I have ever known.”
That has got to be the most genuine thing to say about someone. Although we didn’t know her personally, it’s obvious that Jackie’s presence was a peaceful, lighthearted, and positive spirit to be around. Thanks to Geary, the fans have a better understanding of who Jaclyn Zeman was as a beloved mother, friend, actor, and more.
Over the years, Zeman and Geary became close friends. The love and respect they have for one another is crystal clear in Anthony’s statement. When reflecting on his friend’s life, he added, “I will miss her laugh, and the deep, soulful look in her eyes whenever she expressed the love and pride she had in her two lovely daughters. Tonight, l already miss her, and feel a powerful ache where Jackie’s smile used to be.”

Kristina Corinthos recast! The Iconic Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is known for his controversial lifestyle. From mobster to devoted father, his work life Sonny runs the type of business that makes it hard to keep a low profile. Despite the shady business, money, and power, Sonny’s also known for being a devoted family man. His children looked up to him for the love and protection he provides. However, recent choices lead to a strained relationship with his son Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
Moreover, although Michael sees Sonny in a different light, his sister Kristina Corinthos (Lexi Ainsworth) is still the big brown eyed daddy’s girl she’s always been. Over the years the role was recast with Lindsey Morgan, but soon after Morgan exited the daytime drama. Ainsworth returned as the face of Kristina and has remained recurring since. Currently, her last air date was on April 27th.
General Hospital news and spoilers confirm Emmy winner Kate Mansi (ex-Abigail Days) was cast as the new Kristina Corinthos Davis. Sources reveal Mansi has begun filming her scenes as she takes over for Ainsworth. Expect to see her onscreen GH debut around May 22nd.
I must admit, Lexi Ainsworth is one of my favorites. Her talent is real and genuine. In my opinion, Lexi is an underutilized talent. With that, we are excited for Lexi as she expands her talents and develops new avenues in her career. Although we are sad to see her leave after 10 years, we wish Lexi the best of luck and blessings.

Carly’s arrested at Michael’s wedding! Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has received more “get out of jail free” cards from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) than she’s ever deserved. In fact, I can’t think of anyone else he let off the hook the way he did for Nina. I’m sure there’s something and someone Sonny spared in the past that I haven’t recalled. Regardless, Nina’s 9 lives with Sonny are up.
General Hospital spoilers and rumors indicate that an unforgivable bombshell is about to drop. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) wedding day brings about the soapiest wedding drama. The mother of the bride wasn’t even technically invited. That’s how awkward things are between her and Willow’s chosen family. Even having the potential to save her life, Willow still can’t forgive Nina for the things she’s done past and present. Actually, any progress she’s made is followed by regression because she just can’t help herself. Nina lives to tear down Carly Corinthos.
General Hospital rumors and previews tease that Carly’s arrested at Michael’s wedding. Insider trading isn’t treated lightly in the business world. So, Drew and Carly’s insider trading scandal leads to Carly being hauled off in handcuffs. Luckily for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), he’s currently over seas, fighting the good fight to stop Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).
Kiki returns to save Willow! Desperate times call for desperate measures! Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) life is at stake! Unfortunately, every time her family saw a silver lining in her prognosis, they were met with a dead end. Finally, Willow’s connection to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) lead to what they thought was her miracle.
Ultimately, Nina’s Aunt Liesl (Kathleen Gati) became the one who was going to save Willow’s life. General Hospital recaps recall Willow and her family’s struggle. Since every ray of hope was followed by a dead end, some were losing hope. Then, along came Liesl and she was a match! Now, Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) sinister plot took away Willow’s miracle.

Instead, it’s rumored that Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) is alive. In the latest twist regarding the mother-daughter mystery saga, GH rumors tease that Nina’ newfound daughter Willow has a sister! Both daughters of Silas Clay, Willow and Kiki would be half sisters. That means, Ava and Nina are more than besties. They’re practically family!

However, how could a Psychiatrist get things so wrong? Ryan had everyone believing that he was an invalid. A vegetable that was trapped inside himself. But that wasn’t the case at all. That being said, if Dr. Collins overlooked the reality and seriousness of Ryan’s scheme, how could he be trusted with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl)?

Recent General Hospital spoilers reveal Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) has an idea. While talking with Mayor Laura Spencer Collins (Genie Francis), a lightbulb went off. The mere mention of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) while discussing the mind’s complexities, sparked a thought.
According to General Hospital recaps, Drew was involved in some crazy Cassadine mind games. While prisoner, the Cassadine masterminds found a way to “share” memories from person to person. Even while still fond of his father, Ava and her stepson didn’t get along. In fact, Spencer and his girlfriend Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) tortured Ava while she was married to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).
Furthermore, Portia isn’t Spencer’s biggest fan either. He’s put her daughter through some hard times. And now, Spencer is the reason Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) life is in danger. General Hospital recaps recall, Trina snuck onto the Haunted Star when she followed Spencer. She found Spencer, Ace, and Dr. Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) to be Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) prisoners. Now, that Victor’s men sniffed her out, Trina is his prisoner as well.
Meanwhile, Trina’s mother and Ava bond over their care and concern for the brave young woman. As they sit back while authorities and loved ones try to find Trina, Portia and Ava find time to chat. That’s when Portia blames Spencer for Trina’s predicament. From the beginning, Portia wasn’t too happy about her daughter spending so much time with a Cassadine. Spencer started out by roping Trina into his lies the moment he returned to Port Charles. Then, he brought his dreadful girlfriend who terrorized Trina’s life. Now, Spencer’s family kidnapped him and Trina might be collateral damage.
Diane rejects Robert!? It took them a while to get here, but Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) finally stepped out of the friend zone. The absolute Shark of an Attorney and District Attorney/WSB agent danced around their attraction for months.
Meanwhile, over at the DA’s office, Robert and Diane began working more closely together. They got to know each other, and their connection eventually lead to a mutual attraction. Robert learned, in addition to her extraordinary law-practicing skills, Diane is also a loyal friend and confidant. Anyone would want Diane on their side. Luckily, Robert won her over when they bonded as colleagues. Now, Robert has Diane in his corner.
According to recent GH recaps, Robert and Diane’s first kiss took her by surprise. Although, it seemed like Diane had a feeling Robert was gonna plant one on her at some point. However, she just didn’t think it would happen right then and there. Regardless, Robert and Diane’s first kiss was a success!

Nina’s no match for Sonny! Whether you are a fan of Sonny and Nina’s pairing, or you’re not, Nina’s lack of mob experience can’t be denied or ignored. Denying it only makes things worse in the sense that not all trauma is equal to mob-life type of trauma. And ignoring Nina’s lack of experience in Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) world is downright reckless.
That being said, no matter how you slice it, Nina and Sonny just don’t mesh well.
