Yesterday, General Hospital star John J. York began his stem cell transplant treatment. The 100 day process begins with 8 days of “heavy chemo.” Reportedly, York explained the risks that go along with the transplant and chemo. In the post below, General Hospital Blog shared details of John’s interview with the news outlet, TV Insider. The full article can be read by clicking on the box below, the link ⬆️.

Today is a new day/week, with new hope for the future. General Hospital news reports reveal that today is also John J. York’s first week of treatment.

General Hospital spoilers reveal that York’s long time co-star and friend, Kristina Wagner reached out to fans via X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. She shared a photo of John with his medical team as all three share the brightest smiles. Below you will find Wagner’s post with the photo including Dr. Kassim, and Medical Practitioner, Anne.

According to Wagner, the chemo portion stats this week while the transplant begins on November 17th. Please keep John, his medical team, his family and supporters in your thoughts and prayers.

Despite the smiles, York knows the risks that come along with everything from the illness to the treatment itself. “I’ll probably lose my hair, and that’s OK,” he told the outlet. “And, you know, there’s just all kinds of issues. I could, I could pass away. I mean, maybe not from the chemo, but when the transplant starts.”

General Hospital News and Spoilers: GH Star Enters “Rocky Terrain” As John J. York Begins Stem Cell Treatment and Chemo

First, I want to start off by asking that we all keep John J. York, aka our beloved Mac Scorpio in our prayers and healing thoughts. General Hospital’s John J. York has a smile that could brighten anyone’s day. His positive outlook and upbeat personality is a gift to himself as well as those who know and follow him. Additionally, York exhibits great strength as he shares with the world of his current medical condition.

Previously, GH Blog shared the news that John J. York, also known as GH’s Mac Scorpio, announced that he’d be taking a hiatus from the ABC daytime drama. Then, shortly after he gave fans something to think about, York returned to social media for the details. That’s when the iconic actor revealed that he was told he has 3-5 years to live. According to General Hospital news and spoilers, his diagnosis lead to a bone marrow search with Be A Match.

Fast forward and York has come forward with a health update. Reportedly, the stem cell transplant is a 100 day process. According to General Hospital news reports, York tells TV Insider the details of what he faces in the coming weeks. He shares, “The first week is an 8-day process of heavy-duty chemo, where I’ll probably lose my hair, and that’s OK,” he told the outlet. “And, you know, there’s just all kinds of issues. I could, I could pass away. I mean, maybe not from the chemo, but when the transplant starts. So after the eight days of these different chemo treatments that they’re doing, they’re basically wiping my body of what I’ve been living with in terms of my blood and DNA and all this stuff for my entire life. They’re wiping that clean and then they’re gonna put new stuff in me from the donor. And that’s going to be the new me.”

John J York Takes His Stem Cell Treatment One Day At A Time

Treatment takes place everyday unless the doctors see positive results from early on. He admits, “that would be wonderful. Then they may say, ‘You don’t have to come in tomorrow, come in the next day. And then we’ll test after that.’ That goes on for 100 days, and I would say the first probably 20 days [after the transplant] are the crucial days,” is what York told news outlet TV Insider.

The 22 year GH actor continued to describe his upcoming challenges with a positive and bright outlook. However, the long, demanding process can take its toll, but York displays the strength to stay the course. Unfortunately, the treatment doesn’t cease after the 100 days. Instead, he faces more testing. Those tests include biopsy and bone marrow aspiration. “I thought I was done doing bone marrow biopsies, but I still have like five bone marrow biopsies out there. Those are just not my favorite things in the world to do,” the actor admitted. For now, he’s taking things “one day at a time.”

General Hospital Blog continues to keep John J. York in our prayers as he faces these health challenges. His smiling face is enough to carry many through their bad days. Let’s shine our smiles on John to bright his too!

General Hospital Spoilers: Eddie Goes Off The Deep End, Olivia Calls Out For Eddie, Tracy Says “I Told You So,” And Lois Is Blamed!

GH Spoilers Tracy Lois Ned Olivia
GH Spoilers Tracy Lois Ned Olivia

Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) hasn’t been himself since his slip and fall accident at the Metro Court pool. In fact, he doesn’t remember his life as Ned. To top it off, he doesn’t really care. Well, he really until now.

Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) can’t help but to worry. After all it’s in her nature. At first Olivia couldn’t accept that Ned was gone despite him standing there in the flesh. On the outside, Ned was a living, breathing, walking, talking version of the man Olivia married. But don’t make the same mistake as Olivia and assume that he’s the same man as he once was. Oh no, he’s not the man Olivia knows and loves. However, it didn’t take too long before she started to come around. GH recaps recall the day in the recording studio with Eddie Maine, Olivia, and little Leo (Easton Rocket Sweda). That’s when things began to change for Olivia, and she started to appreciate Eddie.

General Hospital spoilers tease that just as Liv was embracing the change, Eddie takes drastic measures to remember the past. There’s no doubt that Ned/Eddie’s conversation with his ex-wife, Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) influenced him and his curiosity. Thats when Eddie decided to search within himself for answers.

Is Lois To Blame?

Previously, Tracy warned Olivia about Lois. She flat out stated that Ned’s ex wife and Olivia’s best friend can’t be trusted. Although the reasons differ from her original thoughts, Tracy finds reason to blame Lois. Olivia wasn’t worried about Lois coming between her and Ned/Eddie in the aspect that Tracy implied. But, perhaps Tracy was right for another reason.

GH rumors tease that Tracy blames Lois for Ned’s deep dive into his psyche, because now he’s missing altogether! Recent GH previews show Olivia calls out for Eddie after he dives into the frigid waters. The water is so cold that Eddie’s family fears for his life. Is Eddie gone for good?

General Hospital News and Spoilers: It’s Unanimous! SAG•AFTRA Reports Writer’s and Actor’s Strikes Are Over!

SAG AFTRA Reports Actor’s and Writer’s Strike Is Over
SAG AFTRA reports actor’s and writer’s strikes are over

It’s been about a half of a year since the WGA announced the industry’s eighth writer’s strike since the 1950s. In early May, the buzz around Hollywood and beyond had reached our living rooms. The average everyday viewer became concerned about what this all means for their favorite shows. Then, the actor’s followed suit! Leading to the Actor’s strike.

People started asking questions about the strike and the potential impact. The strike impacts writers and their corresponding applications. For instance, General Hospital and other network Soap Operas film differently than other genres. Daytime dramas are fast-paced and high energy. Therefore, their aggressive pace sets Soap Operas weeks ahead of airing. But even with the grace period, General Hospital’s writers material ran out and that’s when alternative writer’s stepped in.

SAG AFTRA Reports Writer’s and Actor’s Strikes Are Over

After 6 long months, General Hospital news reports confirmed that The Writer’s Strike is officially over. Finally, an agreement has been made between the WGA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP). The official SAG•AFTRA Instagram account announced that the picket locations are closed, and the strike is officially suspended as of 12:01am on November 9th.

Thankfully, the worst is over regarding the 6 month old strike. And we no longer need to worry about what might happen if ratings decline during this delicate time. Previously, GH Blog passed along early details of the strike. The information provided was to let us know the risks if the fans stop watching General Hospital. As only one of four Soap Operas left on television, as Days only airs on Peacock, it’s imperative that we keep ratings up to avoid cancellation.

Take a look at the messages shared by SAG•AFTRA as the organization spreads the good news. Finally, the worry is over. Now writer’s and fellow actors can return to work!

Natalia Livingston Pays Tribute To Tyler Christopher

Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) and Emily Quartermaine (Natalia Livingston) were EVERYTHING back in what I call the Golden Era of General Hospital. There’s no doubt that the 90s and the early 2000s brought on some of the best romances in GH history! (Ok, that’s my opinion, but many agree!) They were one of daytime television’s most iconic young couples.

Nikolas and Emily’s friendship with Elizabeth and Lucky sparked a lot of attention through the years. Many became invested in their lives and the romances between Liz and Lucky, a well as Nikolas and Emily. Together, they were know as the four musketeers. They were young, vibrant, and full of heart.

Reportedly, Natalia Livingston and Tyler Christopher’s work relationship ended when Emily Quartermaine was killed off the show. It’s no secret that Nikolas and Emily were crazy about each other. GH fans often wondered if Natalia and Tyler were friends in real life. Especially after her GH exit. While not much has been disclosed over the years, recent GH news reports bring forth some light to the topic.

According to GH news and spoilers, Natalia Livingston speaks our agh we Tyler Christopher’s death. The 47 year old actress took to Instagram to express her gratitude, love, and support for Tyler. Below you will find Natalia’s heartfelt tribute to her friend and former co-star, the late Tyler Christopher. Also know as the iconic Nikolas Cassadine. He will forever life inside of our hearts.

General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Thinks Ava’s Sleeping With The Enemy

Sonny Warns Ava About Austin
Sonny Warns Ava About Austin

Ava Jerome (Maura West) turned to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for help when Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) became a threat. Although his cousin Dr. Austin Holt (Roger Howarth) has a thing for the blond, former mobster, Mason has a job to do.

Austin’s lollipop licking cousin Mason

According to General Hospital recaps, Ava and Austin hit it off as friends before things quickly became physical. But that’s when threats escalated and there wasn’t time for any type of messing around in any aspect. So, was Ava and Austin’s encounter a “one and done” situation?

GH rumors tease that Austin can’t be trusted but he’s also not purely a bad guy. Instead, he’s been forced into this by family. Cyrus and Austin’s pasts are tied together and it seems like Cyrus uses that fact as leverage. Now that we know that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) pulls the strings, it’s easier to see that Austin truly cares about Ava and doesn’t want to engage in Cyrus and Mason’s games. But Austin remains dishonest with Ava about the most important element of this entire situation. Not until Laura Spencer told Ava about Nikolas Cassadine’s bank activity did she think that her ex was alive. She eels to be in the dark about some important facts that could either keep her safe or risk her life.

Sonny Thinks Ava’s Sleeping With The Enemy

General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Ava questions Austin after Sonny gives a warning. According to recent GH previews, Sonny tells Ava that she’s in bed with the enemy. And the look on her face is worth a thousand words. Although she is fond of Austin, I don’t think that she fully trusts him anyway. How is she going to react when she discovers that he has know that Nikolas was alive this whole time?

General Hospital Spoilers: Dex Warns Josslyn About Adam

Dex warns Josslyn about Adam
Dex warns Josslyn about Adam

Adam Wright (Joshua Benard) made quite a first impression on Josslyn Jacks. It wasn’t necessarily a good first impression, but it was an impression alright. Adam first approached Josslyn with ill-intentions, and she quickly out him in his place. Then, he apologized after he realized the severity of the situation and how it effected Joss.

First, Adam got caught up in the viral revenge porn video that Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) and sent out to the entire campus. The nature of the video fueled its viral status, and also ignited something in Adam. That’s when he made his misogynistic comments to Josslyn about her and Cameron’s sex video. At the time, he didn’t know that it was unintentional and that it was deemed revenge porn. Then, Josslyn explained that she was indeed a victim, and from then on she and Adam became friends.

According to General Hospital spoilers, Adam takes his friendship with Josslyn to another level. But it might be a while before he openly admits that he wants her as more than a friend. Instead, GH spoilers and rumors tease that he keeps his intentions to himself for the time being. But even though Adam hasn’t revealed his true intentions, his behavior raises suspicions.

General Hospital spoilers Dex warns Josslyn about Adam. Apparently, GH fans aren’t the only ones who think that there’s something off about Adam. He’s troubled and Josslyn is too close to the fire.

General Hospital News and Spoilers: Eden McCoy Mourns Her Mother’s Death, “She Is Responsible For Every Good Part Of Me, And She Took Me With Her When She Left”

Eden McCoy Mourns Her Mother’s Death
Eden McCoy Mourns Her Mother’s Death

Devastation and loss seem to have come in surplus lately as the General Hospital community suffers great heartache. From Sonya Eddy to Jackie Zeman, Billy Miller to Tyler Christopher- and more in between, it’s undoubtedly been a hard year.

According to General Hospital news reports, sadness continues to loom over the GH community. Just 6 short days after Tyler Christopher’s death, another loss hits close to home. For General Hospital star Eden McCoy, everyone else’s “close to home,” is her actual home. Sadly, Eden McCoy mourns her mother’s death.

GH news and spoilers reveal that Eden became very vulnerable in her public, emotional message. The young star shared the news via Instagram, which she referred to as, “the most impersonal space.” Her post contains a picture of her mother, along with another picture consisting of Eden and her parents.

Eden’s touching message not only displays her pure love for her mom, but she also puts things into perspective. I can somewhat relate to Eden as she grieves for her mother. When I was pregnant with my first child, my mom passed away suddenly. As it turns it, she had Acute Myeloid Leukemia, and she died within two days of going to the ER. Although not all situations are the same, the pain of losing a mother is uniform. According to Eden’s post, her mom suffered a two and half year battle with cancer. No matter how you look at it, losing a mother hits different regardless of how it happened.

I recommend you you read Eden’s beautiful tribute to her mother. The images and words shared can be seen below. Please keep Eden and her family in your prayers.

General Hospital Spoilers: Lulu Awakens As Charlotte Fights For Her Life? Will Laura Count Her Blessings Or Her Losses?

Lulu awakens as Charlotte fights for her life
Lulu awakens as Charlotte fights for her life

How much pain and agony can Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) face? It seems like many of us focus on the hardship of certain characters while overlooking those of others. I’m not sure of that’s totally true in this case, but from what I’ve witnessed, it could.

Undeniably, General Hospital fans went crazy over everything Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) went through. Gladys and Dr. Montague’s stunt was the last straw as fans demanded justice for Sasha. She’d suffered to major human losses, and lost her own freedoms while entrusting it to Gladys. As if that wasn’t enough, then her own mother-in-law sold her dead husband’s garage from under her nose. Naturally, Gladys Corbin has to pay off her gambling debts somehow. So, why not sell what belonged to Brando (Johnny Wactor)? That’s just how Greedy Gladys thinks. Next, she stole Sasha’s money to pay off even more, and hired a creepy doctor to keep her drugged and unfit to look over her own finances. Sadly, this scheme almost kicked Sasha, but Cody (Josh Kelly) and crew print into action, and you know the rest.

If we go back in time, it’s clear that Sasha isn’t the only damsel who has been distressed beyond the norm. Laura Spencer, among others, carry that reputation as well. However, as the years go on, Laura continues to feel loss and heartache. Not to mention she was also held captive in her day. General Hospital spoilers reveal that Port Charles is shaken to its core after Anna shot Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).

Lately, Lulu Spencer’s (Emme Rylan) has been named-dropped quote often. Typically, when a character is mentioned time and again, over the course of some time, they tend to make their way back to the scene.
