General Hospital cast and crew have been on hiatus since March 2020 due to the global pandemic Covid-19. Film production in LA was forced to halt in order to slow the spread of this potentially deadly disease that has taken over our world. In that time, actors and crew alike have been laid off or have been furloughed, awaiting notification to when film production can begin again.
While Genera Hospital production has been on hold, some of the cast have been working on and/or promoting other projects in which they have been involved.
General Hospital news reveals upcoming new episodes of a Netflix show, starring General Hospital’s Haley Pullos, who plays Molly Lansing Davis. Pullos announced on Instagram, her role in a new Netflix original; Ashley Garcia: Genius In Love. The show premieres July 20th.
Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) has become much more than a pest to those who live in Port Charles. Over the course of the time this young woman has been living in town, the residents have been able to see Nelle’s true colors after being fooled for so long.
Bobbie Spencer (Jackie Zeman) saw through Nelle almost immediately as Nelle was pulling the wool over Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) eyes. Carly was blinded by Nelle saving her daughter, Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) life with her kidney. Nelle has managed to infiltrate her way into the Corinthos family first through Joss and Carly, then Carly’s son Michael (Chad Duell), and husband, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). She has reeked havoc on all their lives, becoming a psychopathic villain.
Other than Carly’s stepfather, Frank Benson, Nelle’s true lineage remains unknown. General Hospital spoilers indicate we will be finding more and more about Nelle’s biological makeup, which would include close relatives like biological parents and possible siblings.
Recent General Hospital rumors bring up two villains that could be potential biological parents of Nelle. Sonny’s current threat, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is cut throat and shows no mercy. He is willing to go to great lengths to ruin Sonny which seems very familiar to what Nelle is capable of.
Nelle exhibits similar behavior to a prominent female mobster from Port Charles history. Faith Rosco (Cynthia Preston) was a dangerous psychopath who went after Sonny Corinthos and his family. Very similar to Nelle, these two women seem to have a lot in common. Like Faith, Nelle isn’t afraid of Sonny and his family. She didn’t hesitate to manipulate Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) by using her daughter Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) as leverage. Nelle is Joss’s kidney donor, and with that, Nelle was able to gain Carly’s trust from the get go, however, Bobbie Spencer (Jackie Zeman) saw right through Nelle from the beginning. Nelle then worked her way into Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) good graces, manipulating bane seducing him. She then somehow managed to intertwine herself into Sonny’s life, driving a wedge between him and Carly.
General Hospital rumors hint that Nelle’s background will be explored more deeply, revealing connections to Port Charles history. General Hospital rumors and spoilers suggest that Nelle could be the daughter of Cyrus Renault and Faith Rosco, which would explain her hated for the Corinthos family and her similar ways to her potential mom, Faith. These three would make a nice little family unit, and a huge threat to Sonny and his family.
Is it possible that Nelle is their daughter? Will Cynthia Preston return to reprise her role as the female mobster, Faith Rosco?
For a while it seemed ABC Network was about to get the green light to resume film production. After the all clear was announced for June 12th, the news was soon retracted after a slight rise in the bomber of positive Covid-19 cases. Since then, LA County has addressed guidelines and protocol for safely opening up film studios and getting people back to work. in recent Daytime TV news, CBS Network announced they have resumed film production after the long hiatus. General Hospital news has not been released regarding a restart date for ABC, particularly, General Hospital. GH’s Steve Burton, aka, Jason Morgan, retweeted a tweet by Michael Fairman, regarding CBS resuming to film, and added the comment, “Are we next???”
It looks as though the cast and crew may be just as much in the dark as the GH fans. It’s uncertain why one network would be back to film production while another hasn’t given a status update on their plan to restart. GH Blog will keep fans up to date on the latest General Hospital news, spoilers, and rumors.
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) have been to Hell and back, faced death, and have been reborn. But do JaSam have what it takes to stand the test of time?
Sam has always been a fighter since the beginning. The moment Jason knew Sam’s true strength was when watching her fight through the grief of losing her baby daughter, Lila. That is when the true connection between Jason and Sam began. There have been countless moments of love and admiration for one another, but not alongside devastation and sorrow. These two have made their way back to each other time and time again, and many fans believe there is no reason things should differ this time around.
Sam is having a tough go, as she has been ordered to stay away from her true love while she is on parole for a crime she never even committed. All while Jason is trying to be responsible and told Sam he cannot see her anymore, not now, not until the time is right. Sam has always put her love for Jason first, and it never mattered what the consequences were. Some fault her for that, saying she is selfish and impatient. Sam just fights for what she loves.
The way Sam sees it, Jason has rejected her. Although that has never been Jason’s intentions, Sam believes Jason has abandoned her but that couldn’t be further from the truth.
General Hospital spoilers hint to a rocky road ahead for this iconic couple. As the days of dragon slaying seem for away in the last for this Bonnie and Clyde type duo, Jason and Sam seem to be struggling with menial, mundane, drama that’s been dragging these two down.
Are they worth fighting for? Will Jason and Sam find their way back to one another?
If you haven’t already heard the latest Twitter drama with General Hospital’s, Nancy Lee Grahn, aka, Alexis Davis, GH Blog has all the info for you right HERE. The new General Hospital Poll asks if fans think Nancy went too far. Here is a recap of what happened before placing your vote. Take a look at her tweet below and then let us know what you think!
General Hospital’s Nancy Lee Grahn, has never been one to keep her opinions to herself- and she does not have to. Grahn has every freedom is the great USA to speak her mind, publicly. However, the rest us us also have that right. If Nancy is free to use her voice, it’s safe and fair to say that so is everyone else, I mean, right?! As race relations heat up in our nation this Summer, some of us may get caught up in this polarizing situation. General Hospital news reveals GH’s Nancy Lee Grahn, who portrays Alexis Davis, is using social media to not only voice her opinions on current events which are political and racial in content, but to also shun others who do not share in her opinions. In a recent tweet from Grahn, you can read what she typed to her followers, and most likely former followers and/or fans. Nancy uses name calling by tweeting that some of her fans who happen to like a show she is on are [bigot or racist. And just because she is in a show they like, that doesn’t mean she is connected with her fans].
This outburst isn’t the first during quarantine, and comes after she and co-star, Ingo Rademacher (Jasper ‘Jax’ Jacks), has it out on Twitter over politics, resulting is Nancy blocking Ingo from the social media outlet. You can check out that story, HERE.
Nancy seems to be participating in a great divide, polarizing not only the General Hospital fanbase who differ in political views, but aiding in the polarization of the people of our nation as a whole.
General Hospital Blog wants to spread positivity. We encourage all opinions to be shared without the need to suppress others just because they don’t share your own.
The cast and crew of General Hospital have been expressive during quarantine regarding how much they miss work and their GH family. It’s been three or so months since film production in LA shut down due to Covid-19. Recently there has been a lot of back and forth with the California Government, and the decision to resume film by Governor Gavin Newsom. General Hospital news reveals Governor Newsom has given the green light in LA Country for studios to welcome cast and crew back to the set of our favorite productions. The official order will be announced today, June 11th, by LA Health Officials and Government. The order will state that film production may resume in LA County, so long as health and safety protocols and precautions are met in order to ensure maximum health safety. General Hospital news reports the film industry will have the green light as of Friday, June 12th. It remains unclear as to when Prospect Studios, where General Hospital is filmed, specifically, will open up for production. Some of the GH cast members have used twitter to voice their thoughts on when they wi be returning f to work, however, no official date has been announced. The date in which film production for General Hospital resumes will depend on the timeliness and effectiveness of having the new health and safety guidelines met and in places. Dev Cerci’s (Ashton Arbab) true background has remained a mystery since moving to Port Charles. Although the ever trusting, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), thinks nothing of Dev’s intentions, his right hand man, and very intuitive, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), thinks there may be more than meets the eye. Genera Hospital rumors have claimed Dev to be the son of Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil), Sonny’s ex, and Alec Janacek Jr. (Antonie Knoppers). Alec was son of The Balkan, whom is now deceased, but was an enemy of Sonny. Both men have died at the hand of someone connected to Sonny. Dev Cerci kept bringing up that he was from Turkey and how important his traditions were to be carried on. He and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) had a tender moment when discussing Dev’s heritage and traditions. Genera Hospital rumors hint that the geographic connection of Dev’s background makes perfect sense when claiming Dev is the Grandson of The Balkan. Genera Hospital news and spoilers pointed out Maurice Benard’s take on having Vanessa Marcil return to the role of Brenda Barrett. In a recent article by GH Blog, it was revealed that Maurice thinks bringing Vanessa back is a “no brained.” That being said, as Dev’s character develops, and we learn more about his past, General Hospital rumors hint that Brenda will return to reunite with her son- Dev.
Before there was ever a Caroline Benson, aka Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had a love that burned so hot it was inevitable that it would end in flames. Sonny and Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) had one of the most memorably passionate relationships in Daytime TV, Soap Opera history. Their love story was up and down, with highs and lows, and was centered around a time when the mob was even more prominent in Sonny’s life than it is now. Sonny and Brenda have been to Hell and back with one another.
One major storyline which sucks fans in and captivated the audience was when Brenda wore a wire. Sonny had never felt so betrayed, and their scenes were so intense, the talent just shined through.
Recently, Maurice Benard had an interview with Soaps In Depth. In the interview, Benard mentioned he would welcome co-star, Vanessa Marcil, back to General Hospital any time. Benard stated, “If I [had my say], she would have been back about five years ago. She brings ratings, and if you put two and two together, that’s four. So, if you bring her back, it’s a no-brainer.”
Considering Sonny’s current life with his wife, Carly, and their family, he reflected on another key component- Jasper “Jax” Jacks. He’s just another piece of history that fits. Maurice added, “You [brought] back Jax, then you got Brenda, and you got a whole cool thing going on.”
Months ago, General Hospital Blog reporter GH spoilers involving Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) and the possibility of him having ties to a former enemy of Sonny’s, The Balkan. General Hospital rumors claim Dev will fit into a much larger story, as it’s possible he is the son of Brenda Barrett, and grandchild of The Balkan. Maurice Benard’s opinion seems to weigh heavily on decision making regarding the show. Benard is smart, talented, has great insight, and knows the ins and outs of the production. There seems to be great potential for having Vanessa Marcil return to GH as Brenda Barrett.
On Friday, June 5, California Governor, Gavin Newsom, and the California Public Health Department made an announcement regarding Music, TV and film production; that it may resume in California no sooner than Friday, June 12th. Although General Hospital fans had high hopes, it is unfortunate for cast, crew, and fans alike, that the restart will not include Los Angeles County filming, which includes the Daytime Soap Operas on all networks, which means our beloved, General Hospital, will not resume production on June 12th as hoped. Due to recent health concerns, Los Angeles County is holding off on restarting film production. “There has been a slight increase over the last three days in the number of people hospitalized,” said Los Angeles County Public Health Director, Barbara Ferrer. Even with guidelines for safely returning to wrk being met, there is no information on the time frame it will take to get back into the swing of things in LA County. We will keep you posted on any new developments.
