Ava Jerome (Maura West) is anxious for the big night she has planned at Spoon Island. Ava has a formal event planned for the unveiling of her portrait which was painted bu artist and friend, Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).

Franco assures Ava that everything will work out and her painting will be ready. Although things seem to going along smoothly, odds are there will be major drama at Ava’s special event. She and husband, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) have been playing games when it comes to their marriage, while involving Elizabeth Webber Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) in their scheme. Nikolas and Ava have been plotting to get the other to cheat, which would benefit the other in their pre-nuptial agreement which prohibits cheating of any kind by either party.

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) met his distant cousin for the first time after Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) showed up out of nowhere during an attack from enemy Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Brando was thought to have been dead, as his mother Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) told Sonny and his family that her son had passed away.
Brando seemed to have shown up at the right place at the right time, placing himself directly into the crossfire, and saving Sonny’s wife, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). After some questions, it was revealed that Brando is Gladys’ son and he is far from deceased. Sonny and Jason had their suspicions about Brando and his intentions, but shortly after talking with him, Sonny let his guard down and trusts Brando isn’t working for Cyrus or anyone else that would be against Sonny. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is always a little more cautious when it comes to trusting people. Jason still has his reservations about Brando but at this time, it’s not enough to do anything about it. General Hospital rumors suggest that Brando may have ulterior motives since Jason is typically right about people when his instincts tell him there is something off.
So far Brando has shown to be a stand up and trustworthy guy. However, Sonny may not see it that way after he learns of Brando and Molly’s (Haley Pullos) one night stand. General Hospital spoilers indicate Sonny will somehow learn that the woman Brando was talking about when Sonny stopped in to check on how he was doing at the garage was Molly, and that they ultimately had a one night stand. Filming for the ABC Daytime Drama, General Hospital, has been on hiatus due to the effects of the global pandemic, Covid-19. To aid in the attempt at keeping the cast and crew of General Hospital, along with our nation as a whole, healthy and safe, the show had stopped production indefinitely.
General Hospital news and spoilers reveal, General Hospital’s William Lipton, who plays Cameron Webber, mentioned on his Live Instagram story that filming for new episodes of GH has been tentatively set to August 2020.
The decision to incorporate flashback scenes within new episodes, along with using Fridays as a day to air flashback episodes has served well in the attempt to sprawl out the airing of new episodes. The Executives over at GH are trying to avoid a gap between when they stopped filming at the onset of the Corona Virus pandemic, to when they will be able to resume. Unfortunately, due to the unexpected length of our current situation and being in quarantine, it’s almost certain that General Hospital is about to run out of new episodes to air before the cast and crew returns to work.
Other Daytime Drama shows such as, The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and the Restless, have been airing repeat episodes, which could be the next step got GH as well.
As of now, filming will restart in August, unless any new information and updates are reported.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) seems to have done a 180° in the personality department. During his heartfelt discussion with Charlotte’s (Scarlett Fernandez) Grandmother, Laura Spencer Collins (Genie Francis), Valentin displayed a new side of himself. He wore his heart on his sleeve as he expressed to Laura his love for his and Lulu’s (Emme Rylan) daughter. Laura saw something in him that she had never seen before, and explained to Lulu that Valentin truly wants what is best for Charlotte.
Charlotte overheard her Mom and Grandma talking about how Valentin plans to walk away from Charlotte for her own good. Charlotte loves nothing more in this world than her Father, and begged him to stay. Charlotte told Valentin she heard her mom and Grandma talking and she knows he wants to leave her. Valentin replied by stating, “I could never ever WANT to leave you…” In that moment he denied wanting to leave but didn’t deny leaving. Charlotte continued her plea with, “Papa, I know you’re leaving, I know you are. Please, take me wherever you’re going!”

The Covid-19 Pandemic has put our nation and it’s activity on hold. What was thought to be about a two week hiatus has turned into much more. General Hospital cast and crew are currently out of production due to the Corona Virus lock down. The lock down and production hiatus was projected to last only about two weeks, which would have allowed episodes of General Hospital to air without any disruption. Lock down is still in place and the Executives at GH have incorporated flashbacks throughout scenes and Fridays are now repeat episodes in order to spread out the airing of new shows.
May Sweeps will be on hold since the hiatus has extended beyond the expected weeks. Many story lines will leave us hanging if General Hospital runs out of new episodes to broadcast. May Sweeps could be pushed out to June or even July since the end of the quarantine remains unknown.
